The microwave is satisfactory. Very quiet and fit the suggested trim kit exactly as described. The only improvement that I feel could be made is to have the key menu pad light up. For us older people even in light it is sometimes hard to see the menu options. The rotating turntable helps cook food evenly all around. The digital clock LED will light up the kitchen at night.

We had bought a previous version of this model for one primary reason and that was a perfect fit for the cabinet. Only required a little trim. The previous one died twice. First time a interlock failed at about 3 years. This time we decided to replace verse repair. We dislike the color of the display. The earlier model matches the other appliances, this one does not. However the new display seems to be sharper.
As the back of the microwave is agaist the wall it does not move around like past microwaves.

This Whirlpool microwave has exceeded my expectations! It heats food evenly and quickly, and the 1.6 cu. ft. capacity is perfect for everything from small plates to larger dishes. The stainless steel finish looks modern and blends well with my kitchen decor. It's also very easy to use with intuitive controls and helpful presets. Quiet, efficient, and great value for the price — I’m very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it!

Happy with the performance. We bought this to match with a Whirlpool wall oven (WOS31ES0JS), and we should note that the finishes are not quite the same. If you are picky about that kind of thing, you may want a different combo. The microwave does match perfectly with the build in kit Best Buy recommended.

This has been the best and quietest microwave I’ve had yet! Heats up fast and doesn’t have that loud buzzing sound like other microwaves have and is the right size for us, not small and not to big.

I had problems finding a microwave to fit my cabinet because it is 22" wide and 20" deep. I could have chosen a smaller microwave, but I wanted to get one that fit as nicely as the one I had originally installed.
There were only a few that met my requirements; this one and a GE model. I could have purchased the same model that I had before - a Jennair that currently costs $800 or this one. (The GE was cheaper, but the dimensions on this one were closer to my original microwave and I have had good luck with Whirlpool appliances.) Surprisingly, the dimensions for the width were within 1/8"; the height was identical (13") and the depth was just 1.5 inches more. A perfect fit as far as a replacement goes.
I had an existing trim kit that I had used with the Jennair and it fit perfectly - both with the metal platform underneath the microwave and the stainless steel trim surrounding it. (See picture). The interior looks IDENTICAL to the Jennair. The controls are a bit different, but are pretty intuitive.
I won't use this for anything fancy because I have another microwave/convection oven that I use for more complex baking. I am basically going to use this to heat up drinks/food and make the occasional popcorn. My old Jennair lasted seven years before it gave out. I will be happy if this lasts as long. Like I told my wife, we can buy three of these for the price of one Jennair, so if it doesn't last as long, we can buy another one and still be ahead dollar-wise.
BTW, service, as always, was great at Best Buy. Had a very nice, knowledgeable salesperson. Also got a nice price match ($30 off) and the microwave was delivered (free) the day after I purchased it. Only took me about a half-hour to install and I was good to go.
Totally happy with the purchase.

Searched and searched for a new Built-in microwave after our old one shorted out and started sparking. So far this microwave has got the job done, it only took a few modifications to make it work with our old decorative trim and I am pretty happy with it.
Cons- the button to open the door is pretty hard to push and confuses people that they have to keep pushing. They stop and check to make sure there isn’t something else they are supposed to do first. The play button rather than “start” has confused quite a few people but it’s just something to get used to.

I bought Whirlpool microwave oven #WMC30516HZ to replace KitchenAid #KCMS145JSS (this model is no longer available), the new KitchenAid model is #KMCS1016GSS, but the door hight is 13", it won't fit old frame, I even bought new 27" trim kit Whirlpool #MK2167AZ, but the trim kit (3" wide edge) won't fit my limited tight 2" side edge, since new oven door is 117/8" to 12" hight, and the old frame (horizontal) has only 1/32" lips out, so I use the file to trim down the edge to make it smooth (both upper and lower) and finally use sand paper to smooth out and put back the old frame and it works out.

Works well enough. Smudges as expected of black but it heats up food fast. Really fast to me but you can decide for yourself.

This Whirlpool microwave heats food and beverages in half the time as my previous less powerful unit.
I bought this to go above my new Kitchenaid 24" wall oven. With the trim kit to give it the finished look, it was far cheaper than purchasing the actual Kitchenaid microwave that fits the 24" space. And since Whirlpool makes Kitchenaid, the stainless steel matches that of the wall oven.
Note: a shelf also had to be built to set the microwave on but that was a simple task.

Fit nicely where we had our previous whirlpool microwave above the oven. Same as older but newer model. Re-used same faceplate.

My wife told me a few months ago that we needed to replace the microwave that came with our house. The time you had to heat stuff was 3-4 times what is is with our new Whirlpool microwave. This thing ROCKS!

I bought this because it matched all my whirlpool appliances. The piece that you put under the glass tray came broken so I contacted whirlpool and they won’t replace it. The piece was in the box on the outside of styrofoam in a cut out so anything that drops in that spot will break that piece. Great design. Hopefully microwave is more thought out.

Looks like a decent microwave but the measurements shown on the website are completely inaccurate. It shows a width of 27” online but this microwave is only 22” wide so I have to return it.

We bought this microwave to replace a 7 yo Whirlpool that died on us and we wanted to use our existing trim kit. This microwave is very sub-par to our old one. Within a month, the plastic on the numbers was cracking. Look at the Cook Time and the Start button. There are only 2 of us and this microwave gets used maybe once a day. The microwave also rattled on and off again when cooking and we determined it was the screen/filter inside . We could live we that, but plastic cracking after a month? Very poor quality. Do not buy.

This the second one I buy hopping it lasts longer than first one . First one started getting rusted on the inside and it wasn’t even two years old . Called manufacturing co and they told us it’s a counter top so there was no warranty . Bought the same one because it’s a built in and mounting kit was almost as much as microwave
