    This microwave is what Whirlpool considers a countertop microwave, and thus they do not warranty it for more than a year and offer no service or parts. The control panel will eventually stop functioning and you cannot get it repaired or buy parts. Don't buy products that the company doesn't stand behind or offer parts for.

    Bought in 2017 and Control panel has gone out. I have always bought Whirlpool products. However in the last five years every Whirlpool product I have bought has been poor quality. I will not buy anything Whirlpool/Maytag again. My washing machine is rusting after two years. Rust is not warranty covered.

    Not built to last. After 2.5 years the start button stopped working. The company doesn’t service countertop microwaves so we had to buy another. We went with a different brand that was less expensive with better reviews.

    Worst customer experience, 8 weeks and unresolved

    Got a microwave delivered that wont work. Been working with their service technicians that whirlpool sent out after multiple no shows. I still have a microwave that does not work. Their customer service wont take responsibility of the situation and they expect me to stay home 8-4 on any random day the technicians decide to show up, (3 failed attempts already). I have been very cooperative with them but clearly they dont care.

    Microwave won't open

    We've had this microwave for 3 years and I HATE it. It won't open!!! It has been doing this since year one, where we try to open it and it stays stuck. Now it's even worse.... I would not recommend this product!

    Never properly worked

    I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. We bought it at the end of May, and now at the end of September it has totally stopped working. From the beginning, it would stop cooking items in the middle of the programmed time. I thought maybe I needed to figure out the directions for the different cook categories, but no matter what I tried, it did not consistently cook correctly. Now that it has stopped working completely, I think there may have been some kind of glitch, and we just didn't realize it. I reached out to Whirlpool a month ago, and they just pointed me to the troubleshooting page on their website, which is what I had already tried. I absolutely do not recommend this product.

    Died after 5 years of very light use.

    We bought this microwave as part of a whole kitchen renovation. Purchased in February of 2018 and didn't actually use it until April. We are two people and it was used VERY lightly. Perhaps 1-2 times a week for reheating. It died a week ago. So please know if you buy this microwave, you may get as little as 5 years of very light use out of it. Never again.

    Terrible unit

    We had this microwave for 1 week before we took it back. It offers several functions. Unfortunately, most of them didn't work as described. When we put it on sensor cook, it made a horrible noise. If we touched the right side, the noise subsided, but the minute we took our hand off the side, the noise returned. It also vibrated which probably caused the noise. If that wasn't enough, it didn't heat very well. We've had Whirlpool products before and always had good luck until we got this microwave. We took it back and have ordered a different brand. We do not recommend this model at all.

    We purchased all new Whirlpool appliances when we remodeled our kitchen. The microwave was part of the appliance set. Although it was more expensive we wanted it to match. Unfortunately, 14 months later the microwave has stopped working. Lights work but the sensor pad is not working. Called customer service and they said because it’s past the 12 months, the only thing I could do is purchase a new one. I have had microwaves in the past that has lasted years and paid far less for. This is not worth the money.

    Decent microwave while it works. Ive had two, both only lasted 2 years with normal daily use. If I were you, I would steer clear of this product unless you like buying a new microwave every couple of years. Main problem is that parts of the keypad stop working.

    Very loud beep

    This microwave has the loudest beeping I have ever heard on a microwave and there is no way to turn it off or lower the volume. Seriously it can wake up people on the other side of the house.
