I am 58 years old and have never had a microwave last this short an amount of time. I have bought probably 10 microwaves in my life due to moving and children needing at dorm. I have never had one stop working. This one will not accept electronic touch on certain parts of the key pad. I understand that electronics won't last forever, but less than 2 years is ridiculous. Don't buy this microwave!!!

It's a hassle to exchange as it's builit in. Whirlpool needs better quality control of its components.

I keep buying it as its a perfect fit in the microwave cabinet. The first one failed a few times and I was able to get parts to repair it. Even then it only lasted a about 4 years. The last one had a micro switch fail, which I could get. Unfortunately the plastic piece it was mounted in broke when I tried to remove the switch. Turns out Whirlpool does not sell service parts so I could not replace the part that I broke. So the primary reason for the bad review is lack of service parts. Our first Microwave ran for 20+ years, even then it was still working when we got rid of it. This model only seems to last about 4 years.
