My JennAir microwave quit working, needed a replacement, this Whirlpool is an exact replacement save for two differences: logo on door and stainless steel outer case vs black painted case on Whirlpool (they are both made by Whirlpool). Case color doesn't matter since it is mounted in wall. So, for $650 less I replaced with this Whirlpool model. Perfect fit. Very quiet, much quieter than old JennAir it replaced. Same wattage and size. Turnatable works smoothly, and sensor cooking works nicely, doesn't overccok when reheating but don't have to guess on timing.

Very quiet. Heats quickly. Easy to use. Ready to go out of the box.

Our family has used this microwave (not heavily) over the past 5 years and it has worked fine. The controls are easy and the design is elegant. We encountered an electrical issue with the controls which rendered the unit inoperable. I wouldn't say this is a one-and-done microwave (from our experience), but when its working its a great experience.

Easy to use. Nice medium size. Not too powerful but it's 1200W. Good for everyday use.

Excellent machine. Second microwave we've purchased thru Best Buy. The cover over the conrls does make noise when first turned on but doesn't affect porformance.

The product works great. Bestbuy delivery smashed the box and dented the corner. It is a built in, so the damage was not noticeable after installation, and I did not want to waste time trying to return it.

I purchased this to replace same model but this is the newer version. I liked the finish on the original version a bit better but was happy I could find this one because it fits inside the cabinets where the old one sat. Overall it will do and we are happy with it so far.

I've had this only since October and it's already got glitches. The sensor for the door sometimes thinks the door isn't closed and the mechanism that reverses the rotation gets hung up and makes a grinding noise and the food item gets jolted so that it's no longer centered. The guarantee requires me to pay the costs to ship it to their repair site. Best Buy should handle this service (sending it back). But, it's quieter than my previous MW

After 3.5 years of use, the unit needs to be replaced. The keypad does not function 100% of the time. Some keys are usable, while others are not. This changes daily. The button to open the door has become increasingly difficult to use. We either need to press the button very hard or try multiple times to open. The biggest positive of this microwave is the end of timer sounds. It doesn’t not continuously chime like many obnoxious timers. This was a great unit, but unhappy to replace after 3 years given our kitchen is designed for this specific trim kit.

We bought this Whirlpool to replace the nine-year-old one in the house we bought four years ago. I was delighted with the old one -- easy to use, easy to keep clean, even heating. But suddenly, in the middle of warming a side dish for dinner, it stopped cold. Rather than trying to have it repaired, we headed to BestBuy and bought a new one. This new one works about the same way, but feels stiff and more awkward to use. The Start button requires a super hard push. The door sounds flimsier when it shuts, with effort at that. All the buttons feels generally "cheaper," like corners were cut. On the whole, it feels like something I might buy for half the price at a discount store. It's noisy from the clanging door to a louder beeps and operating sound. At least, so far, it does warm food. My fingers are crossed that it will WORK, and work for more than 367 days. My real beef is with the trim kit. The old one was solid metal, sturdy and attractive and fit evenly around the unit.The new one is thin, cheap plastic with a veneer of stainless steel about as thick as heavy-duty foil on the front. The sides are dark plastic. It's a stark contrast to the fully formed, wrap-around trim around the old Whirlpool oven below it. Furthermore, although we used the trim kit exactly as instructed, the oven does not sit squarely in the opening. It's noticeably lower on the bottom, with more space above. We expected installing the new one would take less than an hour, so opted to do it ourselves. It took the two of us working together over three hours involving half the tools in the garage and lots of ingenuity to lower the bottom opening .3". I cringe to think of having to redo that work or pay someone else to spare us the effort if this fails! I did call customer service to inquire about the cheesy "one size fits all" trim kit. Surprise! After a 29.5 minute wait, the pleasant woman cordially told me she doesn't know squat and I should visit the website or an appliance store for more information. My sense of things is that Whirlpool quality is slipping in every respect. I've been a loyal customer for decades, but that loyalty just snapped. I'll be looking for manufacturers who produce SUSTAINABLE products, not ones built to last just until the warranty expires. No, at this point I do not recommend this product.
