Bought this microwave 2 years and 3 days ago to replace the Whirlpool I previously had for over 11 years. I specifically bought this model because of the available trim kit. My previous Whirlpool microwave was installed above my oven with a trim kit. So I was happy to find a replacement that would fit, even though it was fairly expensive. I was satisfied with the microwave until two days, when several of the buttons died (including the start button, making the microwave unusable) and the display stopped working correctly (several sections of the numbers no longer illuminate). I have to say that I’m very unhappy to have electronic parts as common and typically reliable as a touchpad and LED numbers fail after such a short time (and only a year out of warranty). I figured there would be a part I could buy to fix it. Wrong. Turns out Whirlpool does not offer such replacement parts for this model. And to add insult to injury, this is a very common problem (see the other reviews here and on the websites of Whirlpool and other resellers). I did reach out to Whirlpool. I’m a repeat Whirlpool customer and wanted to see if that mattered to them. To their credit, they offered me a coupon to buy another microwave from their website at a discount. However, they also charge $60 shipping. So even after the discount, the total ends up being about the same price as buying from Best Buy with no discount. This whole experience is seriously disappointing. After having this product for only two years and finding out this is a known problem, I’m very dissatisfied and not likely to buy from Whirlpool again.

Bought this to replace the one that is broken. The microwave would turn on by itself when you open the door. I looked it up online and the door sensor needed to be replaced. It's too much of a hassle. So I bought the same model so I don't have to buy a frame for it. Hope it'll last longer than the one I replaced it with.

Easy to use. Standard microwave that gets the job done

Microwave works great. I had the older model of this and it only held up for 2 years. Whirlpool wouldn't service it. Said these weren't to be opened up and fixed. So i got the geeksquad protection/replacement this time around.

Great microwave, had to replace my old one. Only lasted about 6 years.

Replacement of same older model. The board went out on the old one causing the start button to no longer work. Hopefully this one will last longer than 3 years. The only reason we are rebuying is so we can reuse the built in trim kit in our home. Note this is the fingerprint less stainless steel.

The microwave replaces an earlier built in one that had a KittchenAid label. However the size was an exact match so no new trip kit was needed. The swap was easy and the new unit is working great.

Does the job. Had electrician install in old fitting and it just took minutes

Very satisfied with this microwave. It was just what we needed and had more functions than we realized. Would definitely recommend.

I really didn’t have a choice my entire kitchen wear is this brand and color so my old one broke over 5yrs ago and I like the quality and wanted the same appliances across the board in the kitchen but over it is great

Great microwave. It could use a stronger fan and a brighter light though. Other wise it is one of the best we have had.
