Bought this unit and feel like it is a good compromise regarding size, price and performance. However, before installing it, I read through the manual and noticed that they recommended replacing a carbon filter every 6 months. So I thought to myself, lets see if this filter change would be difficult to accomplish once the beast is mounted. So with the aid of a convenient countertop and full easy access to the filter location area, I discovered that no, it would be impossible to change the filter without removing the entire cover. It seems that when they made the sliding part to give access to the filter, they made it too large to be removed. Now it should be noted that that filter is probably not as much an issue for those venting outside of the home, but for those recirculating air through the filter, it will be a more pressing issue. We returned the unit and purchased the next more expensive unit in the line, which also happened to be a Consumer Reports best unit pick and have been very happy so far. More features, quieter operation and a functioning filter change mechanism made the more expensive unit worthwhile.

This Whirlpool over-the-range microwave is a fantastic addition to my kitchen. The stainless steel finish gives it a sleek and modern look that fits perfectly with my other appliances. With its 1.7 cu. ft. capacity, it handles everything from reheating leftovers to defrosting large meals. The installation process was straightforward. It’s also surprisingly quiet during operation, which is a big plus. Overall, great value for the price.

I bought this microwave to replace a failing one. It was an easy installation since it was a replacement. It took the handyman about 15 minutes. Works great and Best Buy had it on sale for an outstanding price.

So easy to open which is nice. Heats quick and is a good size. My only thing is that you cannot change the beep settings (turn off sound) and you can't swap the glass plate for a bigger one, but not 100% necessary.

Bought this as a replacement for an older model I had over the stove and this one is better than the original one from years ago. Easy to install set up and use.

We were nervous about buying this one and not spending the 100$ extra for the next level ....we are very happy with our choice ! This microwave although large measured perfect to our space and fit exactly right for us, it has the fancy look with the old school great technology! Even has a popcorn button to make it popcorn perfectly popped ! I would defiantly buy it again especially with the deal/special price!

I like the price & ease of use - simple looking, but gets the job done. It works great, heats well, spacious interior.

The size is great. Noise is a lot less than my last one. The controls are really convenient for quick cooking. A button for melting or softening button to 1 lbs. button for defrosting. The front is anti smudge. It came quick. I did buy on sale, but it was worth the money. It is quiet, convenient buttons, hardly any cleaning, and looks great. I would buy again.

We had to replace our 10 year old built in microwave. After a long search, we decided on this one mainly due to price and features. Slightly bigger than our old one. Great quality, great price. Delivery was fast and was easy to install, fit in the old brackets that we have.

Great microwave! This is a sleek and stylish unit that performs very well. It has all of the settings that I need and it is very easy to use. I’m very pleased with this product and believe that it will perform well for many years to come. I thought it was a great value as well.

We replaced all the appliances in our kitchen a few months ago and the final piece was the microwave. I found this while doing an online search and stopped by my local Best Buy to check it out. We don’t do a lot of microwave cooking but this is a large microwave, standard size on the exterior however the interior is designed to utilize as much space as possible for large items, I mean a mid size turkey would fit in this bad boy. The second thing I noticed was how quit the door closed, might seem minor but that bang latch of others we’ve owned is annoying. The controls consisted of what we normally use with the multi light and fan settings and seemed like a good fit. When I got home I did my last reviews and sent this to my cart on the website. Little did I know that because I’ve been a loyal BB consumer my membership priced kicked in and we got another hundred and change off! Wow that was a pleasant surprise and better yet when I installed it it performed outstanding and is one of the most quite microwaves we’ve ever owned.

Service was great! Works like a dream. Easy to use, easy to clean. I appreciate the 30 sec. timer, I use it very often to give “just the right amount of heat”. I’m sure everyone who owns this Microwave is also, pleased with its look and performance. Large enough for the whole family to use.

I love whirlpool appliances. It was easy to install and the instructions were simple to follow. Has a lot of room and is quite. I like the half/full light option along with the fan speeds modes.

This was an identical replacement model for an eleven year old Whirlpool Mircowave. Easy installation since the here was one there already. Issue was packing, when plastic was removed. And marginal cardboard/foam, unit was dented on top. Did not affect the spprence or effiency. Could have been an installation issue.

Needed a inexpensive over the counter microwave with a lot space. This one fit the bill. Easy to mount, but it will take two people to mount it. Its a typical microwave. Has the same great useful features as any microwave do outside of a wifi or smart microwave. If you want some durable and inexpensive buy this one.
