The advantage is that it's cheap. I don't think I can use it for a long time. Think of it as changing every four years.

Two things I miss about this microwave: no express cook feature and no manual defrost option (that I can find).

Purchased 10 months ago. Seemed to work fine until a week ago. There is a low, rumbling sound happening when we use it. I doesn't matter what power level it is on. We paid quite a bit for this microwave ($269) so it should not be having issues so soon. It is still under warranty, so I will call service but I am very disappointed that it couldn't even last a year.

Small and light. Good quality for the price, especially one-two person use.

The microwave and stove oven set isn't really any different from other brand appliances. The setup is a little inconvenient to use since the labels are kind of hard to read and a little obscur

I was not vary pleased That could not call my store and talk to the person, that sold us our Microwave. The instillation Scheduling was not good.

I thought because of the name "Whirlpool" it would be great but it doesn't have the options the GE had. It's very loud when it's on also. I'm very disappointed in the name brand but it does work (loudly).

Installed microwave and it would not work. Called Whirlpool and set up an appointment for a tech to come to house and check on the problem. Had to wait 10 days for an appointment. Tech came and had to order parts. Was another 10 days until next appointment. Had to replace the magnetron and the associated capacitor. All is well now, but I was without a working microwave for 3 weeks.

I will never buy an open-box item from Best Buy again. I purchased an open-box Whirlpool 1.7 Cu. Ft. over-the-range microwave from a local Best Buy store. After hiring a handyman to install it, he discovered that the wall support frame and the core knob were missing. It was evident that these essential parts had not been checked before Best Buy resold the item. The $50 discount ended up being a complete nightmare. From now on, I will avoid purchasing open-box items altogether. Maybe NEVER.

noisy unit. when we turn it on it makes a humming noise.

Bought as a gift for a family member. They are very happy with it after a couple months. Good value it seems

Defective from day 1. Unfortunately I wasn't sure as what it does is cut out after a couple of minutes. It still ran, but I noticed it got quieter. Then noticed it stopped heating at that point. The magnetron was cutting out. Best but won't do anything so now have to go through manufacturer.

Bought for a spec house, so can't comment on performance. Purchased a whole kitchen set for a great price and it looked great in the house.

This is actually a replacement microwave. First one lasted more than a year and I had to get whirlpool again so it matched the other appliances. Hopefully, this one works for longer.

Purchased 2/8/24 and on 5/29/25 sparks came out of the top and it made a metal grinding sound before putting out an electric burn smell. This was a replacement for one we purchased in 2021 that did the same thing but at least it lasted 3 almost 3 years before dying.

I purchased this microwave a little bit under 5 years ago. Actually 10 days. Before extended warranty expires. Right now, it's in the process of being repaired. Which I don't want repaired. I want a new one. We'll see what happens.

the light on the bottom of microwave will not go off and the button on control panel does not work for light

This works perfectly and looks great. But the popcorn and defrost programming are difficult to navigate.

The appearance is very dull and lacks attraction. I hope it works. It is so basic one thinks it’s worth $30.00.

Only used a few times. I don’t have any complaints. It’s not hard to use. It’s heats evenly fast no more warming twice.
