    The automatic fan is a nightmare - you cannot control when it goes on and stays on high and cannot turn it off. The fan on high is noisy and annoying and not needed for boiling water! I would love to have someone disconnect it. I don’t care if the microwave overheats - I was ready to replace it in the first month. Supposedly, no one now makes an over the range microwave without this feature. Terrible

    I purchased the whirlpool microwave after seeing so many great reviews. Within 1 year of using the appliance an smoke smell starting coming from under the plate. I removed the plug for safety and called whirpool who confirmed that the product parts or product would be replaced free of charge. Whirpool sent Guinco Service - Appliance Repair Company on Friday, October 15th but that was no help. I have filed a complaint with Whirlpool as this product is a safety hazard. DO NOT BUY.

    Terrible Terrible Terrible, bought it due the brand, never had an issue with Whirlpool until now, microwave did stop working after 3 months, warranty is a mess, i’ve been waiting 4 months for the repair, Do not Buy !

    I bought two of these items and each was damaged

    Frustrated with this product. I have bought this item twice from the same store. The first one was damaged and I returned it to the store. When I picked up the replacement microwave I asked if there was any damage and the store assistant assured me there was none. I took the product home and did not further inspect it until install. when I removed the packaging I discovered that this replacement microwave was indeed also damaged despite being assured that it was not. I had no alternative other than to install the item since the old microwave had been removed from my tenants condo. I would like some financial compensation for this damaged item.

    Works great, but we had issues with it. It developed a crack in the door and whirlpool gave us a hard time about replacing it, but the finally did. Less then a year later the new door cracked so we got rid of it.

    Very good basic microwave. Our first one broke after about 5 years so this was a replacement. Fits existing fittings of same microwave without issues.

    Not even a year and it seems like it is going to break down ! Cant use the warranty with Whirlpool because we would need to SHIP it to them then install again!! AH!

    This open box clearly DIS NOT state that the plate was missing but because its pass the 15 days i have to buy it!!! So not fair. I truly love the microwave

    Stopped Working with 12 months

    The microwave stopped 12 months and a few day in. I then had to pay a Best Buy Technician $150 plus tax - and 24 hrs later....same issue and no microwave. The micro cost $180 and teh repair bills from BB cost more than the item!

    The the light underneath lightbulb burned out after a few month. We put a new one in and it stopped functioning altogether.

    Best Buy only gives you a 15 day Warranty on all their Appliances ... Now I will only buy my Appliances from a Major Stores with Normal Warranty of 30 days or more and I manage 50 Vacation Homes ... I'm glad I found out on a cheap microwave ...

    Quit working after less than 18 months

    Loved this microwave until it made weird popping noises and stopped working yesterday. Family of 3, so not overly used and it was kept clean. No reason for a Microwave to stop Working so soon. Bought it in November 30, 2018 and it died May 14, 2020.

    Had this microwave a little over 2 months and it sounds like im making popcorn wverytime i use it .. feel like its about to blow up

    Fooled by the Whirlpool brand

    This microwave looks nice, but there are issues. The fan comes on when water is boiling below it. There is no way to stop the turntable from moving. It does not have the functionality to do the quick start to get minutes by pressing just one digit. I've had older microwaves that functioned better than this one.
