first microwave bought in 25 years - boy have they improved.. Quiet, powerful, in expensive

My wife liked the stainless steel finish and it was on sale. First one was DOA and I had to take it back and wait for a replacement. Installation required extensive modifications of our original GE microwave setup. It lacks many of the control refinements our previous our previous 15 year old microwave had and we were told the new one won't last that long. I expect we'll get used to the new one but if I was going to do it again I would buy a different and more expensive brand with better control features.

Purchased this microwave for our new home. It was a great buy and a great product!

Bought this to save space and toss out that old counter top microwave, couldn't be happier

I would recommend this product only drawback is there is not a wire rack.

I bought this microwave to replace another Whirlpool that had died in just over a year because it was similar enough to fit the old mounts. Unfortunately this one stopped cooking entirely in just under one month.

This product is easy to put together and easy to use.

5 years ago we purchased this microwave because it was the same brand that came with our house (and we wanted it to fit in the space)...sadly now we are having to replace it yet again. This will be the 3rd microwave in 10 years! A microwave should last way longer then 5 years in my opinion. I won't be getting this brand again!

The micro looks good, but it has severe handling damage, I had to returned back.

Bought this microwave based on the "good" reviews it had on the site. Have used it for over two weeks now and it is the biggest piece of junk I could ever imagine. Won't pop popcorn on a consistent basis, some bag full, some half popped or less. Try to melt butter and it takes over two minutes to do so. Cooking rice in it takes too long, quicker on the stove top to do it. Very disappointed in Whirlpool. Had hoped to upgrade to a stove and refrigerator in the next year, but will not look at another Whirlpool product ever again.

lasted about 2.5 years. cost more to fix it than by a new one will nt buy this brand again.

Our old microwave died after 10 years. But this somehow didn't work more than a 2 years and 11 months. It was okay, not roomy but it didn't really bothered me. Only problem I had was that it didn't warm up a meal at all. That was a day my microwave died! I'm going to still buy Whirlpool which will be bigger inside but also purchasing 5 year warranty... I'm only buying whirlpool just because I have Whirlpool dishwasher and I want to match it!

I got a lemon , this thing cooked great Until It overheated and the magnetron shut off . Had repair guy come out , put a new magnetron in it. Same thing kicked off after a min. Do not buy unless you want some frustration. Just a tip look inside the microwave and look at wattage label . It is not a 1000watt it is 1800. Returned it . Now Awaiting shipment of a different microwave.

Installed it and it worked. For about 30 minutes. Over the following few weeks the power came on a couple of times, but most of the time it was off and, of course, couldn't be used. Tried another outlet a couple of times but that didn't help, so it wasn't the wall outlet. One star for price.

Where most of the good microwave last for decades this microwave stopped working in less than 4 years with very minimal usage.
