Looking for an over the range microwave? This is a really good microwave!

Great microwave. Wasn’t the original first or second one I wanted. But it was the only one available with zero clearance so that it could open up against my wall. Overall not a bad product.

I bought a Whirlpool over-the-range microwave 7 months ago, and it’s already having serious issues. Grease somehow got into the internal components and caused damage. When the technician came to inspect it, he couldn’t even explain how it happened, but despite that, Whirlpool refused to cover the repair under warranty. This is a venting microwave, yet it clearly isn’t built to handle normal cooking conditions. Imagine if this were a washing machine and water leaked into the control board, and the manufacturer just shrugged it off as “normal use.” That’s basically what Whirlpool is doing here. I expected better quality and accountability from a brand like this. If a microwave can't even make it through a year of average use, there's a serious design flaw. Worst part is that they try to dodge the issue by blaming everything else, that's a product I can't recommend.

We don’t particularly care for it. The microwave we had prior (came with our home), so with all of the good reviews we decided on this one. You CANNOT leave the rack in the microwave THAT COMES WITH IT because it is a fire hazard....& ours almost caught on fire. The microwave we had before didn’t have these issues, so this was new. Our sensors weren’t working properly(this is in less than a months time), so we had to call in to have someone come check it out. The service was unprofessional, and they said it was our ‘sensors’ went out and had to be replaced. Did that, and it’s still not stopping when ‘sensing’. Extremely disappointed.

In kind replacement for newer model. Total tech support to a great job with the installation. Popcorn setting didn’t burn my popcorn! Overall, very pleased with the microwave so far.

So far so good. A little louder compared to our old Whirlpool microwave.

Install was easy. Fit on previous brace and screw patterns still matched. Works like a microwave should. New popcorn sensing took couple of times to get used to. Fits in with the other whirlpool appliances we have

This new unit replaced a similar micro wave oven that was older. We are pleased with the product and it's features. In addition the team of installers were very professional and familiar with removing the old unit and installing the new one.

It’s a beautiful microwave! Still don’t understand the 2 tiny holes in the inside of it! Very strange!

This was the replacement for an older Whirlpool that quit after 11 years. The new support rack in the rear installs a little lower on the wall, but the old support bolt holes in the overhead cabinet are used for the new microwave.

This did not last three second. I plugged it in after install. Turned the light on then the fan, I heard a sizzle behind the number pad and it shut down, never to turn on again. I returned it and reordered a new one. Hopefully the new one lasts a little longer. I hope this was just a bad wire. The microwave looks great but I will review the new one after install.

I needed an over the range microwave for basic use. All of the ones that grabbed my attention were in the $300 - $400 range. This one went on sale for $129 for the 4th of July and it was a no brainier. It works well and meets my needs.

We replace a Samsung that only lasted 2 years. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES, customer service is worthless. Whirlpool is working good and seems to be constructed to last.

Great product. The timer sound is great, noticeable but not annoyingly loud. Gives you a calm reminder chime should you forget you have something in the microwave. Very pleased with this purchase.

This unit replaces one that micro had burned out. The overall cost was less than repairing the old one.

The installation on this was a little tricky because the template didnt seem perfect but was good enough with a little effort. the other downer is the suction for the fan doesnt seem to be as strong as promised. cooking works great though.
