I purchased this microwave after our old Whirlpool stopped heating (it was 12 years old). Instead of wasting time and trying to repair it, it was about time for an upgrade. This microwave has worked flawlessly so far. Quiet and efficient. Great display and easy to clean stainless. Installation was not difficult but you definitely need 2 people. Took about 30-60 minutes to install.

This unit heats things quicker than my old microwave. It is fairly easy to install. The only thing of concern is that the door requires firm hand to close completely. If not firmly closed it won't heat and displays a warning the door needs attention. It is great for the price

Easy to install, fan and light both work well, microwave too, so far. I've only had the unit for a month, so the future will tell the tale. Ours came a little dented up, but nothing major

This microwave was very easy to install and is very, very quite. It seems to cook very evenly and has plenty of options to cook with one touch. It also looks great matched up with all the rest of my whirlpool appliances.

After 13+ years and 2 broken handles the original "builder's special" RCA microwave needed to go. I didn't want spend a lot to replace it, and this Whirlpool had the features we wanted and a price that couldn't be beat. I installed it myself in one afternoon and it works perfectly. It did have some shipping damage to the back corner when I received it, but a quick call to Best Buy and a 10% discount helped me overlook that fact. In the end It works. I was able to install it myself. And I got a great price. That equals an excellent product/purchase every time.

I love how this microwave looks in the kitchen - very sleek and stylish. It also is more intuitive than most microwaves. You can actually start typing numbers and they count as minutes and seconds, not some bizarre pre-programmed setting that you don't know. Minor pet peeve - there is text that says "start" above the actual start button. Some guests hit the start and wonder why it doesn't come on. Great purchase - recommend.

I previously had a range hood and I wanted to free up counter space. I decided since my counter top microwave was close to its last leg,I figured tthis would be a perfect time to upgrade and create more counters pace all at once. I looked at several brands, models and colors and in the end I realized thus was the best bang for my buck. The microwave was super easy to install even though I had to raise my cupboard up some to make room for the bigger appliance. My wife loves it and it goes great in our kitchen.

    Wasn't looking to be "wow'd"

Was looking to clear up counter space in my kitchen so upgrading from my countertop microwave was the first step. Went to best buy and they happen to have 1 black open box microwave with no damage and no missing parts and a great deal. I have to say I was not expecting this to make my kitchen look so much better. Not only is this product beautiful, but its larger, more powerful and stands out. Was 100% not expecting to be "wow'd" by such a simple household item. Install was fairly simple, just had to mount an outlet in the cabinet above. Make sure you measure 3 times before drilling.

I have no complaints about this product. It does everything I need it to do. Easy to use, too. Attractive. Good value. If I can make suggestion. I was told above stove microwaves are same size. Well, maybe width not height. Be sure to measure that in choosing an above stove microwave.

This microwave replaced my old Whirlpool microwave after 15 years. I had just replaced a range of similar vintage with a very nice Whirlpool convection range. In effect we have replaced our 15 year old Whirlpool appliances with brand new modern updated models of the same type and configuration. It does everything I need it to do easily and efficiently.

Actually was up in the air about microwaves. The only thing I knew I actually wanted was stainless steel and a vent on the stove feature. Listen to BB salesman who I have been dealing with for quite sometime and he steered me to this one. And I more than satisfied with this. The price, the appearance and the feeling of it being substantial.

I really like this microwave. The only thing i though was odd was the plate inside seems a little small. The fan seems smart one time it figured it needed to be on and came on. The buttons are easy to use. It looks very sleek. Matches all my other whirlpool appliances. It was the cheapest stainless steel one i could find and I love it.

Got this to replace the broken unit in my house. Good news, it installed easy. I was able to use the same wall plate from the previous unit. Just remember to rotate the blower fan depending on your vent setup. The performance is fine, works as expected. I am disappointed in 2 minor areas. One is the beep tone when both pushing buttons on the key pad and also the beep beep when the cooking cycle is done. It sounds cheap. A neighbor has the same unit and it does not sound bad like mine, so maybe it is just this unit. Also, the sound of the heating cycle is louder than I think it should be while the unit is running. Again, neighbor's does not sound like this. Other than these things, it is fine.

I am very happy with this machine. It is the most frequently used appliance in our kitchen. Apart from the usual re-heating food items, we also use it to bake cakes and biscuits,. Its size and capacity is very practical; and it fits nicely in our small kitchen. It operates in a rather silent mode.

We had a previous model of this microwave and loved it - for its functionality. There was no need to shop around for a different model as that one was fine. We don't miss the convection option that one had - never used it. That one lasted almost 10 years with LOTS of use. Microwaves take up a lot of counter space, but this over-the-stove one has an exhaust fan [not super powerful, but good enough] and a light. We use it mostly for reheating [a lot!], boiling water for tea, and using the exhaust fan & light features. We're getting used to the carousel as the last one did not have one, but figure if we did want to reheat a large casserole, we could probably take that out and just re-position the dish a few times during the reheat [even though the directions say not to]. The biggest issue though, is the cook/reheat/defrost, etc. CODE process. That takes a LOT of focus. There should be a laminated card or a list of some kind that allows you to see the codes without opening the door of the microwave. This is especially problematic if you're trying to coordinate cooking and/or reheating more than one type of food item in order to have them all done at the same time. It's silly that I had to make my own to keep near the oven. Best Buy price was VERY reasonable!
