Absolutely great appliance. Does just about everything and does it well. Very quiet operation with soft chime to let you know the cooking is done. Touchscreen controls run everything well. Highly recommend.

Had it for two weeks now. It was a bit of a challenge to set it up in the beginning. I didn’t want to give up my old Maytag microwave (which I feel has more heating power) but I had to give way to have all appliances match.

Microwave came with poor instructions for installation, very noisy, dent inside, no cooking instructions. Do not buy.

I ordered this because it works with Alexa. The integration was seamless. It's a great microwave

I am not tech savvy but this microwave has settings for everything. This microwave is very quiet and cooks quickly

After using the microwave I like it. But it was the color that made us buy it.

The fan works awesome. Love the ease of "talking to it". Love the touch screen design.

I bought this item when it was on sale and it work perfectly for my new home.

This microwave is HORRIBLE! It won't even do the basics like keep the clock right. Sometimes the touch panel works, sometimes it doesn't. Now, after less than 18 months, it won't heat anything. for $700 plus I would have expected more and I'm sure, after reading other reviews, Whirlpool won't stand behind it.

The money you pay for this item is high. Mine keeps going out. I have to unplug it to get it back on. Not a lover of these "smart" appliances.

First, the good - it looks beautiful. Unfortunately that's about all it has going for it. The Bad: 1. By far the biggest issue is the microwave itself is billed as 1100 watts, yet my 20 year old 1000 watt microwave works far better. For instance, it simply will not microwave popcorn or pork rinds. Almost everything takes twice as long as my previous microwave. I had customer service come out, he agreed it should work better, then left because it's "within spec". I asked what spec was and he said it functionally does heat up food. So he apologized and left. After an hour on the phone with whirlpool they ended up telling me the same thing. Nothing they can do. They even gave me a subtle threat, if they send someone out again and find nothing wrong they will charge 180 dollars. So the 2 year warranty is useless in this new microwave 2. The wi-fi is a joke. It basically won't connect to a modern router, even one which does both 5 and 2.4ghz. I was told I should disable 5. LOL. Enough said. 3. The button functionality is weird. Does not jive with anyone who uses it. Set a timer and an alarm and there is no way to see the timer without canceling the alarm. My guess is they may have fixed this with WiFi updates but since I can't connect to it I'll never know. 4. Convection. So basically it works, but it takes forever to heat up. On a warm SoCal day, it takes 20 minutes to get to 400f. My full size oven is quicker. So what's the point? To heat up the house less? Well my large convection toaster oven dissipates less heat, is almost as large, and takes about 3-4 minutes to heat up. Oh and don't be fooled by the "capacity" of the convection oven. The manual states that while using convection, food, has to fit on the rack and rotate. So you're loosing half the capacity. Think a pizza not baking a cake or a chicken.

OK I have to start off by saying I did ton of research before buying this Microwave. The design was nice and sleek and that is one of the thing we where looking for. So we just had it installed a week ago and we haven't had to use our stove since. This does everything. So happy with it. I am still learning the app that you can use with the microwave its not really user friendly but I am still learning on how to use it. So I will update you once I have mastered it. This microwave convection settings are the best we have done cooked wings they turned out nice and crispy and brown like doing them in the oven. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and family.

This could be a nice microwave. The advertised features were very appealing, which is why I bought it. However, Whirlpool doesn't seem to be capable of properly developing anything hi-tech. The touchscreen is not intuitive and customer service says there is no documentation. I am not a person who normally needs documentation for this kind of thing, but this is bad design and really needs it. The LCD will sometime freeze up and/or the display gets scrambled. There is not reset button so the only option is to climb up on a ladder and unplug it. The popcorn sensor didn't work. They sent out a tech to take a look. He said that where it shows a sensor, there wasn't even one present. He had to order a board. It took almost two months to get that board. They tell you to use the mobile app to get this thing connected to your network. That doesn't work for me. It will fail if you cannot connect it to the same wifi SSID that your phone is connected to. I have the same SSID for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on my router. That is the way it is designed to work. My phone connect to 5GHz and the appliance cannot do that so it freaks out and tells me that it this SSID cannot be used, even though it could be. I was able to setup this SSID by going through the LCD panel, but not through the app. I still don't have my dishwasher connected because there is no LCD on that so I haven't figured out how to work out with this mobile app design flaw. I have similar, but different, issue with the other appliances I bought at the same time. That is why I say to stay away from Whirlpool with anything that has any kind of hi-tech in it. Maybe other lower-end models might be OK, but I am not sure since this was my first time with Whirlpool. You might guess is that my personal viewpoint is to stay away from the brand, but maybe you have a better past history.

Loved this convection microwave for three years. Then a month ago found little black plastic pieces on stove beneath it and the inner panel of door started separating. From time to time electronics started going wacky with various messages. Unplugging solved that for a few days and then we would have to do it again. Peeked at innards of door after removing some screws and discovered two screw posts had broken off inside door which probably pushed against and broke some clips which i had found on the stovetop below. It appears only fix is new door which costs nearly $250 before installation..,and would same thing happen again if the cheap plastic issue hasn’t been resolved? We decided to try supergluing those posts in place and we will see what happens. Look on YouTube for creative ways others have solved this seemingly common problem with this model beginning in 2018 or so and continues until today.

The one good thing about this microwave is that it looks nice. The problem is that everything else you expect out of a microwave, this one fails at. The touch screen freezes all the time, it randomly resets itself about every 4 - 5 days which sets the clock at Jan 1 @ 7:00, and multiple times within the 2 months I've owned this unit I've had to physically unplug it/replug it to get it to do anything at all. Heed the bad reviews on this unit. I'm also in a dispute with Best Buy because they claim they delivered the range I ordered to my house, which they did not. Support reps are no help. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere...anywhere else. The few dollars you might save will quickly not be worth it after hours and weeks on the phone with them, which ends up getting you nowhere.

Aside from BB's inability to schedule things properly, I finally received my microwave weeks later only to discover it was severely damaged. Uninstall it back off the wall, wait another week for a replacement, this one seemed good... until I realized the hood light doesn't work. At all. It's not the bulb. It's almost as if Whirlpool doesn't test a single one of these highly priced units before they send them out. I'm absolutely disgusted by this whole experience. Avoid this microwave if you don't want to wait weeks for delayed and rescheduled deliveries and ultimately have to replace it three times to MAYBE get a good one, all the while having to put it up and take it back off the wall and it's NOT a light appliance. The user interface seemed nice on paper, but in practice it's sluggish, often times not responsive, and simple features like the hood vent are buried in menus instead of being a permanent button on the front of the unit. It gathers fingerprints like iron to a magnet and anything but the most delicate of LCD TV cleaner will scratch the finish. Due to the touchscreen display, the window to view the cooking food is moved up and is more narrow, so short people (like my significant other) can't see into it. Forget about using Alexa or the smartphone app with this thing (gimmicky features to be honest)... it can't even show up with a working lamp (which is an obnoxious-to-find G9 style old-school halogen bulb... in 2019? To make things even better, the user manual specifically forbids using an LED bulb or it will "damage the unit". Why did I pay all this money again?)

Pros: Looks great, convection oven cooks very well, inside is very easy to clean, sensor cooking works well. Cons: screen goes blank preventing microwave from working, screen will not scroll preventing the use of the majority of the cooking options. Purchased microwave in June 2018 and it has been repaired 3 times under the Manufacture's warranty. End result...the microwave screen continues to go blank and must be unplugged/plugged back in to regain functionality until it fails again.

Have owned this microwave for awhile now and it has never worked quite right since day 1. Multiple times a week it will either stop in the middle of a cooking cycle, lock up, and eventually reboot. Or sometimes just becomes totally unresponsive and has to be unplugged to reboot. Even then when it boots back up the time will be completely wrong even though it is setup on Wi-Fi and the date/time is set to auto in the app. You have to go into the app, unselect auto time, and then reselect it. I would not recommend this microwave at all. Go with something that doesn’t have Wi-Fi and all the gimmicks.

Have had to reboot the touch screen many times since it was installed. Now I have to have a tech come out to look at it,,,,Uggh….

nice microwave, but buy the most warranty you can, you will need it. the electronics in the door have never worked correctly, the door has been replaced, a board has been replaced. now trying to see if i can get it actually fixed
