When our fridge went out I picked up a drink fridge to get us by... It's time to move on from this one though. I will turn it into a drink and prepared meal fridge. The only complaint I have about it is the veggie tray cracked in the middle and cut me. I won't go into details why, but it is made cheap so be gentle with it.

I purchased this refrigerator and it was delivered on 12/19/15. From day one this refrigerator never worked properly. It freezes everything. Not just the items in the freezer, but items in the lower refrigerator as well. I called Whirlpool Customer Service and they were very pleasant but the repairs are outsourced to some other company that is not Whirlpool.The repairman came out and took one look at the freezer with large chuncks of ice hanging from the ceiling and told me that I am not closing the door of the refrigerator properly. He cleared away the ice and went on his merry way. Less than 1 week the ice returned. Again, I called Whirlpool Customer Service and explained the problem then set up another appointment with a different outsourced company. This time when the repairman arrived, I called Whirlpool Customer Service at that point she informed me that the procedure was that the repairman was to call Whirlpool Tech Support. The repairman did. That was when I learned that this model has a fan and gasket (seal) problem. Not enough people have complained so they did not recall the refrigerator. The repairman said that he would have to order the parts and someone will call when the order arrives. After the replacement of the fan and gasket, ice still formed in the freezer and it was still freezing food in the lower part of the refrigerator. I called Whirlpool Customer Service and explained my dilemma and she gave me one year extended warranty. Now the refrigerator is over a year old and the problem still exists. You are probably asking yourself "why doesn't she adjust the temperature control? I can't because it is frozen!!! This is the SECOND TIME that I have purchased items from Best Buy that were faulty. Recently, I got a 9.9 cubic Magic Chef. It works very well. It is so quiet, good use of interior space and frostless freezer! It was cheaper (Home Depot).

Brought this refrigerator about 2 years ago February 2018. 2 years later, approximately one week after the warranty expired, tenant call regarding freezer frosting and the refrigerator section freezing liquids. Cold whirlpool, they informed me that it was out of warranty by about a week. Referred me to a appliance repair affiliate. Scheduled an appointment. At a cost of $125 to have the repairman discern what the issue was. Got an estimate of about an extra 230 dollars for parts and repair service grand total of about $385. If I factor in the cost of repairs and purchase, that equals almost $1,000 an apartment size refrigerator. I'm a say I'm done with whirlpool. Any appliance that gives out within 2 years is very poorly made. I would have bought the whirlpool brand. Just my opinion. I do have other appliances did I Supply to my tenants. So far I can recommend Samsung products.

Piece of junk. I had my previous Whirlpool for over 15 years, with no issues, and decided to upgrade to a newer model, and chose this one because of the smaller size. Over 4 years I had it replaced completely, then fixed 3 times, and now it's failing again, and my 3-year service plan had expired. Beyond disappointed. I'm just going to buy a different brand, and hope that it's better quality than Whirlpool.

When I received the fridge it was plugged in overnight then I placed a thermometer to check the temperature before placing food inside. The temperature was 25 degrees on the recommended setting so I turned it down to the minimum setting and a few hours later the temperature was 31 degrees which is still below freezing so I had to return the unit.

Don not buy! This "frost free" refrigerator freezes everything in your fridge. We've had 2 different repairman out and still having same issue. It's less than a year old. I realize it's not an expensive one but we have a small house and the size fits well. This has been a big hassle.

worked fine for 10months then serviced worked for 4 months serviced again replaced thermostat and control board still not working right does not control temp in freezer

Quit working 6/14/22. Refrigerator lasted 6 years. Not very good.
