I purchased this refrigerator a couple years ago and I've had nothing but problems. It keeps freezing up and has to be unplugged for it to defrost. I notice its frozen once water starts to leak into the refrigerator area. Tried to get it fixed under warranty but they said it was running fine. It appears as though the drain in the freezer area is freezing up and not allowing the defrosted ice water drain. Think twice before purchase. Giving it one star because it's a nice looking refrigerator and cools a bit.

DON'T BUY THIS ONE!

Hunk of Junk! Don't Buy! You have 15 days to examine and then you are stuck with it when you purchase from Best Buy. Freezer frosts up full of ice and the refrigerator does not keep anything cold. All the items in the refrigerator part had to be thrown away and I cannot put anything in it without it spoiling. Have followed all the manufacturer setting guidelines. Noticed the door does not seal and close very well on either refrigerator or freezer. This is a $600 item to be thrown out and I have to start over. Food does not stay cold in refrigerator at all. If you want a small, expensive, Freezer then this would be the one

DO NOT BUY

This refrigerator has been horrible. Bought it in August 2021. First, anything in the back of the fridge gets frozen. Second, by March 2022, water started leaking all over our fridge because the drain hole was broken. Beneath the fruit basket and across every shelf would be covered with water. Because the fridge freezes everything, the water would turn to a thin layer of ice. It took two visits from an appliance maintenance company to fix it. Third, the motor is now broken, so neither the fridge nor freezer is working. We will be at least a week without a working refrigerator and all of the food we had is now wasted. Save your money and your time; do not buy this fridge. Wish I could attach a video so you could see how much water would pool at the bottom of the fridge. Waiting to see if Best Buy or Whirlpool will replace or exchange my fridge.

Purchased mainly for extra freezer storage. Refrigerator works fine, looks nice and has more space than appears. Unfortunately the freezer has stopped working twice already. I have disconnected for winter. Plan to file complaint in spring if still not working.

Good size for garage drink fridge, looks nice, simple basic freezer/fridge.
Have been happy with it in general up until now, unfortunately after 5 months of use it stopped working and all of my freezer stuff thawed out and had to be thrown away. Power is still on, lights etc are working in it, but isn't cooling anymore.
Since its still under warranty Whirlpool customer service has been good though and scheduled someone to come repair it within next 2 days. So hopefully it will be more reliable after that? I hope.

Would be a 5 if you don't reverse door swing. Not loud. Cools fine and looks nice. The Bad: delivery crew removed protection from front support bolts in the truck. Tell them to keep it on or have floor protection. To reverse door you will likely need to: 1. remove gaskets and rotate 180 degrees to get a good seal, 2. remove the plastic spacing on the middle hinge to bring the door closer, 3. hammer the metal flat where the lower hinge attaches to align the bolts and prevent cross-threading, 4. Drill 1/4" in top hinge holes to seat the bolts and use a 1/4 in rat tail file to elongate holes to bring freezer door in line with the frig door. Spend 1-2 hrs. removing protective film from the doors. I eventually found a smooth blade butter knife along the edges to work best with about 3-4 passes and no damage to the SS finish. The result is good and was less hassle to me than returning it and trying to find a $500 frig without some problems. Freezer is 17"h x 18"w x 16"deep which I could not find in the specs. Adequate for size of the frig.

This is a decent size fridge for my mom, but I hesitate to recommend it because it's leaking and it's less than 1 year so I have to call Whirlpool even though I have purchased an expensive Best Buy plan for 3 years. Unfortunately, BB can't help until the year is up and Whirlpool keeps you on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes just to talk to a person. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend it. This was a gift to my 86-year-old mother, and I live 90 minutes away and am jumping through hoops to help her. Will update my review if this is resolved.

OK for the Price, but Freezer Does Not Work Well

Good basic refrigerator for the price, but it constantly has water pooled on the shelves in the refrigerator section. I do not have an icemaker, so I am assuming this is part of the defrost cycle for the freezer. All the food in the freezer is freezer burned very quickly and I sometimes find small pools of liquid in the freezer as well even though the thermometer I placed in it says it is in the proper freezing range. I believe this is all related to a faulty automatic defrost cycle. I also suggest leaving it set to the "Recommended" setting. When I adjusted it after adding a large amount of food, as suggested in the user manual, the freezer dropped to 40 below and the fridge rose to 50 degrees and would not stabilize for days. Had to throw everything away, unplug it for several hours, and then restart it at the Recommended setting.

The warmest fridge

This fridge looks great and has decent storage for being a smaller friedge, but I was surprised whirlpool decided to act up. The fridge does not cool great. The worst part is the opening from the freezer to the fridge freezes over causing freezer burn and a warm fridge. I have had to turn my fridge off and let it defrost for 24hours about 6 times within the first 3 months of purchasing. Customer service for the item is also the worst. If you can get another fridge for the same price, take it. This one is just for looks apparently.

We were looking for a second refrigerator for our garage and we found this on Best Buy side and liked it a lot. Best Buy dont have it on the floor so it is hard to decide. With the measurements of the fridge, we decided to take a chance and buy it. We did not regret to made the decision. It is a very good size for a second fridge, It is perfectly fit into our garage. Good cooling in the fridge and freezer section with good amount of space. If you are looking for a compact fridge with a reasonable storage this is a good one. It is not for a big family fridge but yes as second one.

Compact size and universal design to fit with any decor. We reversed the doors; be sure to check YouTube as the one-page illustration for this change is not very helpful; you’ll need a helping hand to lift the fridge to remove the bottom door hinge. Once doors are reversed, check all gaskets for full contact. We inserted cardboard strips in the gaskets for a few days to “stretch” them slightly and then no issues. Very happy with the purchase.

I'm so tired of this fridge. Constantly having temperature issues, the magnet to close the doors are not strong enough so once you close it doesn't stick so you have to give it another push. It leaks water from the back of the fridge coming from the freezer. The freezer always has temperature issues also. I regret buying this product.

I love the look of the refrigerator and the size. I love the style and layout. The doir shelves r roomy. It holds a lot fir a smaller fridge. I bought a thermometer and on the coldest setting the freezer did get to zero. The refrigerator controls r confusing though. I cannit seen to get the refrigerator to 34 to 36 degrees for food safety. It runs 40 to 42. I eat a lot of dairy so food safety is important. There was no manual with the refrigerator either. I do nit understand how the crisper wirks due to a lack of manual. I need a manual and a service man to get the fridge colder. Once the temp is fixed, I woukd consider this a perfect refrigerator. I needed a counter depth refrigerator under 32 inches. They r hard to find. I used the extra space as a broom closet and put a curtain on a clothes hook over it. Perfect. I trust whirlpool and kniw they will fix this and send me a manual.

I had bought a Whirlpool in 2007 and it lasted almost 14 years. I bought another, smaller Whirlpool refrigerator. This refrigerator has a nice design, however the bottom part of the back is open which makes me think it might be vulnerable to dust getting in. There is no light in the freezer and the one in the main part of the unit is very dim. The sections for storage are flimsy.

I got it because of the brand and price as well as size that fits perfectly in my space. However there's been a constant leak from the freezer into the lower fridge that I've tried to fix with the warranty but so hard to have someone come over and look that understands the issue.

I waited 24 hours after I installed it to see if temperature would stabilize but it keeps dripping water in the refrigerator part and the freezer frosted around my food.
Haven't had the time to call manufacturer for assistance on how to set right temperature since the manual is not helpful.

After about 6 months the freezer started frosting up and dripping large amounts of water into the fridge. After defrosting was good for another 6 months then it started to increase in frequency. The doors definitely need double checked to make sure they are closed.
