Do the math and you will see that any ice maker lasts this long so why spend over 2k on one. And if you think the $500 protection plan will cover you then guess again. My "repair" is into 2 weeks and parts are going to take 1-2 mths more. Any bets on whether or not those parts are the final ones ordered? And no rush on their part since I have had to call to motivate them at every turn .Plan on speaking to someone in India for your "service" and canned messages of regret about your problem.

Consistent and Affordable

My family loves this appliance. My last one got a lot of use. This one is too. Only positive things to report about this ice machine. One of the more "affordable" ones on the market. It's a win.

It should have been made clear that you might need to spend an extra $500 for this when you buy. Plus Best Buy doesn't even sell it!!

It’s a different issue. This is way overpriced for what you get. I do like the water filter as our last one did not have one. But this unit has only worked a few month out of the ALMOST 1 year we have had.
