I had to go to this size (30" wide and 65.5" high) to squeeze it into my condo kitchen. I lost some square footage but it was well worth it. Unit is very handy with the bottom-freezer; no more bending down. Shelves very accessible and I feel I can use every square inch of space. Freezer is more than adequate. I don't even use the ice-maker because with trays I don't have to listen to the ice-making noise. There are simply not many 65.5 " high units. It saved me from cutting into the cabinets. I am extremely pleased.

Within a year of purchase it stopped working. We called for service they said it’s not covered and need to pay. We got it fixed and it stopped running the next year. This time they denied the services. It’s hard to believe two year old refrigerator stop working twice with that time frame.

I was not told this during the purchase despite discussing the Total Tech plan at length with the salesman. I then spent over 2 hours on hold for the Whirlpool repair department. To register the product I spent almost 45 minutes on hold waiting to get through to Whirlpool. The freezer section has a big drawer now instead of a door with a shelf, and it seems that a lot of freezer space has been lost. The grill that needs to be removed in order to vacuum the coils no longer snaps on, but is attached with screws that are difficult to access without lying down on the floor.
