I had contacted Whirlpool and schedule a visit from a technician, who informed me that the issue is caused by the sealed system. The technician informed me that while this is a manufacturer issue, it is not covered by Entitlements (factory warranty) due to it being a "cheaper" the model. I asked the technician what could've caused this issue, and was informed that 2/100 Whirlpool refrigerators will be considered defective. While I understand that mistakes happen, if 2/100 Whirlpool refrigerators are defective, then should there be some sort of reservoir set aside by Whirlpool to fund the fix for unlucky customers such as myself . The quote I received was $848.46, not including the $120 that I paid for diagnostics. The part will cost $317.58, labor at $500, with shipping at $15. That brings the total ~950, not including taxes. That amount is well over what I paid for the product. I just expected more from a Whirlpool product. While I understand that mistakes happen, this is an issue with the product, and should be covered by entitlements. The timing is also very inconvenient due to the recent atmosphere events, especially since my family needs a fridge to store all the food. Because this issue occurred out of the blue, and the fridge didn't show any major signs of needing repair until it was too late (it still turns on, just doesn't cool), all the food we had stored to prepare for the outbreak had gone bad. Stay away from this product at all costs!

The house is old so the doorways are narrow, the installation team quickly took the door of the hinges, removed the old refrigerator, brought in the new one and installed in minutes. It came in clean, with no dents or dings. Couldn't be happier.
