Great replacement for more costly KitchenAid model

Compared this Whirlpool model to a similar KitchenAid model. Better reviews and at half the cost. A no brainer -- esp since Whirlpool makes KitchenAid. Have been using this oven for a month and have not experienced any of the problems other reviewers have. So far -- so good. If the wife is happy, I am happy!

It is a major inconvenience to open up the microwave from the back and place the part back in place. It’s not broken but has slipped out of place. Had for 6 months and we have done this 3 times already. Clearly this is a problem. Next step is to see about the warranty.

The only reason I purchased was because it was the same model that my bar cutout was made for and the original one also broke.

Cooks well but the beep is loud

Also, no way to just press a button for 1 minute or 2 minutes. Minor things, really.

I noticed that my panasonic heats the food faster for lesser time compared to this one. Ao if i were to get another one, i’ll stick to my old panasonic.

This is a replacement of the exact same model that was used for 5+ years before having issues. More than likely the same expected life expectancy. Fits in built in wall unit provided by home builder, so limited on options.
