This unit replaced a good Maytag refrigerator which reached end-of-life. When the new Whirlpool motor is running, it generates a low-level noise and a high-level noise simultaneously. My own fault was in not making sure the top freezer unit also had a light bulb, which I had been used to for many years with my old Maytag.

We replaced our 20 year old Whirlpool fridge that never had a problem with this similar size and layout unit. Everything about this is cheaper: Thinner materials, less adjustable shelves, no frame on the glass shelves, rickety. From day 1 we had problems with it not being cold enough. Three service calls. New thermostat installed. We are running it with the temperature setting cranked up between 4 and 5 (highest) just to keep it within safe recommended operating temperatures.

Works great. There is no light in the freezer but that has not been a problem.

DON'T BUY WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATORS! THEY DON'T WORK RIGHT FROM DAY ONE! I bought this to replace another broken Whirlpool refrigerator. They don't last more than 6 years tops. This one has NEVER froze the ice cream in the freezer yet freezes the items on top shelf. Refrigerator is never colder than 50 degrees so all my food goes bad quicker. Bad refrigerator seals with gaps. I should've sent it back from the second day. Stupid me. The bottom grill fell off the second week we owned it. It started leaking water all over inside fridge within 2 months and still leaks all over.

Purchased all new appliances for my daughter's house, refrigerator, range, and microwave. The appliances were all working great till this morning when the refrigerator just stopped working. I have totaltech but unfortunately the period has expired. About $1000.00 down the drain as well as spoiled food. Best buy customer service was very professional, but in the end i have to replace a two and a half year old refrigerator. I understand that things happen, just not happy about this.

It's working nicely. Setting it for max cooling was straightforward.

Love the fridge but the refrigerator part keeps freezing the items in the back.

The freezer never went below 11 degrees, usually at 18-28. Refrigerator temp was in the high 40’s. Best Buy replaced it with a different manufacturer at my request. The replacement worked perfectly.

Do yourself a favor and look under "CONS" at all the noise complaints! This is the nosiest refrigerator I've ever heard! It is a noise pollution machine which can be heard 50 ft away, down a hall way! The compressor area, in the back of the fridge, is covered with CARD BOARD and no sound insulation! This household nuisance should not be sold! Whirlpool obviously has no standards or quality control and I will AVOID WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS in the future!

Totally disappointed with this unit. Motor runs very loud. This unit is a killer on your back. If somethings pushed to rear of unit, it kills your back.

The guy in charge of delivery was all over the place. The fridge was unpacked on side of the road and rolled into gravel to set it in their carrier, which put a small kinck at the bottom when I looked.They went as fast as they could walking to my door and tried to enter in the same matter with the fridge barely making it through the door. They entered with fridge WIDTH instead of turning it to its side. I was telling them to slow down, the metal part of my door frame was scraping against the side, but they didn't listen. So I told them that if the fridge was damaged they would have to take it back. The guy in charge hears this and tells the other guy to back out all the way to the street. The other worker and I are asking what he';s doing, he answers, u said we scratched it to take it back. Uhhh no I said: if u scratch it its going back. His attitude was so bad and the fridge already back on the side of the road, I told him, take to fn thing back. I will never order anything from best buy again. The all experience was stressful and the disregard toward something I paid 800 bucks, from this delivery guy was disgusting. Why do they sell appliances new? if its to get damaged during delivery. NEVER AGAIN.

I purchased this fridge from Lowes. The freezer stopped working after 2 years and 4 months. Turns out some freon had got into the line. It was said to be a lemon.... and it was. Would never by another one again. Very noisy and just plain gave out in a matter of 2 years and 4 months.

The middle drawer and the drawers in the door easily break. I wish they were more durable.

Water was collecting in the fridge. It was not staying sufficiently cool. Frost began accumulating in the freezer. Best Buy said they could do nothing to help me. Whirlpool made me wait on hold for about 45 minutes and gave me a phone number of a service company to call. It turned out to be the wrong phone number. Now im back at square one. Needless to say I'm not happy with either Best Buy or Whirlpool.

We are very happy with Best Buy and very unhappy with this Whirlpool refrigerator. We keep it ONLY because we have a small space for our refrigerator and it is the only model that will fit in this space in our house, not apartment. We tried 2 times with this model. The first time the refrigerator was so loud we could hear it from 2 rooms away so we returned it for another try. As stated by others, this refrigerator does not stay cool. Even on the coldest setting it is above the recommended food safety of 40 degrees. I put groceries in today at 2:00 and the temperature was 43 degrees. Tonight a 6:00 it has only gone down to 41 degrees. This is with minimal opening and closing of the door. I try not to keep too many uncooked meats in it for this reason. We've had this model since February. The summer months have been a challenge to keep our food cool enough to be safe. I also have problems with the freezer. My second thermometer often records 10 degrees. The Best Buy repair people are well aware of problems with this product. Whirlpool, can't you make a smaller model refrigerator that keeps foods at their proper food safety temperature?

Love the stainless steel look but the fridge is really big for what I wanted
