    This unit is extremely loud with a high pitched hum. Totally grating on nerves. Can't even be in kitchen while running and I could her it from my bedroom all the way across the house. Returned the next day.

    Broke before two years!

    Fridge didn't even last 2 years! Paid for Whirlpool service to come out and they said the sealed cooling unit was out, and there was no warranty on it. Called customer service and they would only give me a discount for a new fridge. Why would I buy another piece of garbage fridge from them? I will not buy from Whirlpool or their subsidiaries again.

    Bad Decision

    We’ve had trouble with this refrigerator from one month in. It’s mostly the freezer part where it gets so frozen over that the lines clog and water drips down into the refrigerator part. And we have a cup to catch it. I read online that this was known to happen with this model. To this day still have problems and not sure what I can do about it. So disappointing

    It came damage with a giant scratch on the front door and the driver said good luck getting a replacement.

    Failed many times in first year!

    I purchased the Whirlpool WRT311FZDWH refrigerator that needed the compressor replaced only months later. That replacement part would also need to be replaced twice more within the year. Now it's out of the 1-year warranty, and the months-old compressor has failed again but Whirlpool will not offer support. When asked what could be done, the service rep told me to buy an extended warranty on the next refrigerator. Apparently building a product that works isn't in the design plans, but extended warranties are.

    Used refrigerator?

    First one had high pitch squeel. Replacement had vibration in compressor compartment with stripped out screws in lower back panel. Either extremely poor workmanship or previously owned and sold as new.

    Lasted 18 months

    It lasted 18 months, then developed an electrical short. It was bounced around during the protection plan/warranty process. In the end decided it was build to be disposable and it was best to simply replace it.

    I bought this refrigerator 7 years ago. The freezer is okay, but once the temperature in side the refrigerator reaches 40 degrees, it will climb us to 65 degrees, then it starts to get cold again. After few hours, the temperature will reach 40 degrees again, and gets cold, periodically.

    Don't buy anything from Best Buy they changed their policy on warranty s. They will not fix and make you wait days for repair people who don't show up.

    5 Years and Dead

    We bought the predecessor to this one, Whirlpool WRT311SFY, from Best Buy in September 2014 and even purchased the 5-year protection plan (which we would have loved to renew as we do with all our major appliances when asked and they come due, but we never got the email from BB for this one). It ran fine for the most part (ice maker excluded as this never worked consistently), and then it simply up and died 5 years and 3 mos. after the purchase. Really??! Only 5 years?? (Our last one (a Frigidaire) lasted 14 years!) Checked everything including the relay switch, but the compressor has flatlined. So now we are in the market for anything but a Whirlpool and are pretty discouraged to consider another BB appliance purchase.

    Disappointing purchase

    Fingerprints are a constant problem and the construction is cheap. Very disappointed. It will become a basement or garage fridge.

    Don’t waste money

    I have had my fridge for 3 years and it is already not working. The freezer leaks water and then freezes up on bottom shelf. It also leaks water from freezer into the refrigerator where it pours through the ceiling. Tried defrosting and that did nothing. Refrigerator seems to completely shut off for 10 or so mins after it leaks the water. Save your money-Customer service was no help. don’t buy!

    I must have got a lemon!

    Ok, so from day 2 this fridge has had a condensation problem. By one week it had started "frosting" in the freezer. Now at a month it does not cool in the slightest. I had to put all my perishables in the "frost free" winter wonderland that is my freezer. It has also started to leak coolant into the freezer portion which is a problem. I have a tech coming out tomorrow but to be honest, I will probably be returning this (if possible) for a different brand all together.

    Dissappointed

    I received this fridge new as a ‘loaner’ from the appliance company where I purchased a new backordered fridge from. I felt I needed to review it because it’s awful. VERY noisy. My 30 year old fridge was totally Silent. The veggie bins on the bottom do not fully close and are also VERY DIFFICULT to push closed. The wire shelves are outdated. I would NEVER purchase this fridge even as extra !!!

    Buy the similar GE one instead

    I did not like this fridge at all. It is cheaply built. It feels very flimsy and it's annoyingly LOUD. I could hear it buzzing over my TV. I ended up exchanging this one for the comparable GE one. I recommend paying the little extra and stepping up to the GE one. It is almost exactly the same except it is of higher quality and nowhere near as noisy. I am so glad I sent the Whirlpool one back.

    Poor Quality refrigerator

    I bought this refrigerator in December 2016. It is 6 months old and the "frostless freezer" compartment is getting a buildup of ice around the inside of the door. I am told it could take 8 weeks to get a new door. I am very disappointed by this company. Will never buy a Whirlpool product EVER AGAIN!
