    Totally disappointed with this unit. Motor runs very loud. This unit is a killer on your back. If somethings pushed to rear of unit, it kills your back.

    Didn't last very long.

    Purchased all new appliances for my daughter's house, refrigerator, range, and microwave. The appliances were all working great till this morning when the refrigerator just stopped working. I have totaltech but unfortunately the period has expired. About $1000.00 down the drain as well as spoiled food. Best buy customer service was very professional, but in the end i have to replace a two and a half year old refrigerator. I understand that things happen, just not happy about this.

    DELIVERY FROM HELL

    The guy in charge of delivery was all over the place. The fridge was unpacked on side of the road and rolled into gravel to set it in their carrier, which put a small kinck at the bottom when I looked.They went as fast as they could walking to my door and tried to enter in the same matter with the fridge barely making it through the door. They entered with fridge WIDTH instead of turning it to its side. I was telling them to slow down, the metal part of my door frame was scraping against the side, but they didn't listen. So I told them that if the fridge was damaged they would have to take it back. The guy in charge hears this and tells the other guy to back out all the way to the street. The other worker and I are asking what he';s doing, he answers, u said we scratched it to take it back. Uhhh no I said: if u scratch it its going back. His attitude was so bad and the fridge already back on the side of the road, I told him, take to fn thing back. I will never order anything from best buy again. The all experience was stressful and the disregard toward something I paid 800 bucks, from this delivery guy was disgusting. Why do they sell appliances new? if its to get damaged during delivery. NEVER AGAIN.

    I purchased this fridge from Lowes. The freezer stopped working after 2 years and 4 months. Turns out some freon had got into the line. It was said to be a lemon.... and it was. Would never by another one again. Very noisy and just plain gave out in a matter of 2 years and 4 months.

    Looked good but never got cold enough

    The freezer never went below 11 degrees, usually at 18-28. Refrigerator temp was in the high 40’s. Best Buy replaced it with a different manufacturer at my request. The replacement worked perfectly.

    Very unhappy with this Whirlpool purchase!

    We are very happy with Best Buy and very unhappy with this Whirlpool refrigerator. We keep it ONLY because we have a small space for our refrigerator and it is the only model that will fit in this space in our house, not apartment. We tried 2 times with this model. The first time the refrigerator was so loud we could hear it from 2 rooms away so we returned it for another try. As stated by others, this refrigerator does not stay cool. Even on the coldest setting it is above the recommended food safety of 40 degrees. I put groceries in today at 2:00 and the temperature was 43 degrees. Tonight a 6:00 it has only gone down to 41 degrees. This is with minimal opening and closing of the door. I try not to keep too many uncooked meats in it for this reason. We've had this model since February. The summer months have been a challenge to keep our food cool enough to be safe. I also have problems with the freezer. My second thermometer often records 10 degrees. The Best Buy repair people are well aware of problems with this product. Whirlpool, can't you make a smaller model refrigerator that keeps foods at their proper food safety temperature?

    Extremely loud

    This unit is extremely loud with a high pitched hum. Totally grating on nerves. Can't even be in kitchen while running and I could her it from my bedroom all the way across the house. Returned the next day.

    Failed many times in first year!

    I purchased the Whirlpool WRT311FZDWH refrigerator that needed the compressor replaced only months later. That replacement part would also need to be replaced twice more within the year. Now it's out of the 1-year warranty, and the months-old compressor has failed again but Whirlpool will not offer support. When asked what could be done, the service rep told me to buy an extended warranty on the next refrigerator. Apparently building a product that works isn't in the design plans, but extended warranties are.

    Broke before two years!

    Fridge didn't even last 2 years! Paid for Whirlpool service to come out and they said the sealed cooling unit was out, and there was no warranty on it. Called customer service and they would only give me a discount for a new fridge. Why would I buy another piece of garbage fridge from them? I will not buy from Whirlpool or their subsidiaries again.

    Used refrigerator?

    First one had high pitch squeel. Replacement had vibration in compressor compartment with stripped out screws in lower back panel. Either extremely poor workmanship or previously owned and sold as new.

    Hunk of Junk. Done in 4 years.

    Purchased in 2018. Fine until 2022. Now the freezer doesn’t freeze and then the refrigerator freezes food over. Didn’t even last 4 years before total malfunction.

    5 Years and Dead

    We bought the predecessor to this one, Whirlpool WRT311SFY, from Best Buy in September 2014 and even purchased the 5-year protection plan (which we would have loved to renew as we do with all our major appliances when asked and they come due, but we never got the email from BB for this one). It ran fine for the most part (ice maker excluded as this never worked consistently), and then it simply up and died 5 years and 3 mos. after the purchase. Really??! Only 5 years?? (Our last one (a Frigidaire) lasted 14 years!) Checked everything including the relay switch, but the compressor has flatlined. So now we are in the market for anything but a Whirlpool and are pretty discouraged to consider another BB appliance purchase.

    It lasted 18 months, then developed an electrical short. It was bounced around during the protection plan/warranty process. In the end decided it was build to be disposable and it was best to simply replace it.
