I purchased this fridge for my new home. I really had wanted one with French doors, but couldn't justify another $1000 for that feature. I am extremely happy with this selection. It looks great in my kitchen, it's quiet and it gets the job done well!

Purchased this fridge after purchasing 2 other fridges that I had to return due to them not fitting properly (didn't measure the space accurately) this fridge was the only one that fit due to the counter depth and I'm glad it did. It matches perfectly with the rest of the items in the kitchen stove, microwave, sink, etc. I love how the ice and water light up which comes in handy when your thirsty in the middle of the night and forget to turn on the light. Also love the drawer for the ice, it gives you the chance to pull out the exact amount of ice cubes you need.

it is a beautiful refrigerator and is perfect for my kitchen which is being totally renovated. I have not been able to use it as of yet since construction has not been completed.

I was concerned at first, because it was smaller inside than my last refrigerator...but it holds much more than you think it would! I LOVE the ice built in the door!! It give you so much more space in the freezer! Not to mention aesthetically, it is BEAUTIFUL! Also excellent installers, very professional. P.S. stick with American appliances...not about buying American made,I've just had bad experiences with foreign brands. ;

We are very pleased with our new Whirlpool - 20.6 Cu Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water. So far we have had no complaints and are very happy with it. The icemaker is a little noisy if you are in the kitchen, but the pluses outweigh that minor item. We didn't realize how bad our old one was until we got the new refrigerator and saw how much colder our food was.

This is a great frig when having to consider depth - I'm in a condo with limited kitchen space and this fits perfectly. I've had it for a couple of months and no issues. The stainless steel looks great. It's quiet - my computer room is adjacent to the kitchen and I never notice any sound. The ice make makes smaller "square" ice cubes - no more crescent moon shaped ice that fits perfectly into the rim of your glass and frustrates you. Space is great given it's a counter depth model. The price was perfect too. I got this fridge, an over-range microwave, stove, and dishwasher - all stainless steel, all Whirlpool for about $2800 - tax, delivery, installation, everything included I'm please with it all. Best Buy did a great job as did their installers.

First I read some reviews where this model is noisy. It is not and it’s quieter than my old GE. The first couple of days it makes some noise but it’s priming to get down to proper temperature. Then it’s very quiet and only makes noise when the ice dumps or making new ice. I like how the ice is entirely made in the door. This saves an entire shelf of freezer space. With my old GE model I tended to get some frosting where the ice maker fed into the door chute and when the door opened it would tend to spill small ice chunks on the floor. This won’t happen with this model. I love the counter depth and it’s quality stainless. I don’t get fingerprints but if you rub your hand all over they will appear but use a quality stainless cleaner and they disappear. This model has great lighting inside. My parents bought a different new fridge and it’s quite dark inside. The fridge storage is a bit smaller as you lose some space with a counter depth. If you have a large family or like to stock your fridge constantly you might have some capacity challenges.

I've had this fridge for over a year, and I wanted to wait and do a review once I'd used it. It works perfectly. Runs quietly for the most part, ice machine easily keeps up with the need, and keeps both fridge and freezer items at the right temp. It is slightly smaller because its counter depth, but all of the shelves and door drawers give you back the space you might've lost.

Its a side by side counter depth with water and ice maker for $1250. You cannot find a better value. Ice works great. Only the first cup of water is warm. Fridge is very cold. Not noisy. Nice stainless doesnt show finger pronts as much as others. The shelves could be better set. If you on limited budget and need counter depth side by side i recomend this.

First let me say how pleased we are with this Whirlpool refrigerator. We have had it installed and running for over 6 weeks as of this writing with no issues or complaints. We have purchased 2 Samsung refrigerators for 2 homes in the last 7 years. Each cost more than twice as much as our new Whirlpool. This Whirlpool does everything well. Temps are consistent and accurate with where we set them. Both in refrigerator and in the freezer. You will read a few negative reviews on here but I believe all the problems have either been resolved by Whirlpool over time or, at least in most situations, the person just didn't have a realistic complaint. PROS - Capacity is more than adequate for a family of 4. It will fit the largest baking dish we own. Yes, it can be difficult to lay a pizza box flat in the freezer. But you have to remember this is a side by side. You would have to purchase a much larger unit to accommodate a stack of pizza boxes. And, I especially like the door storage bins. A lot of bins and versatility is better than most. Have not completely filled the refrigerator or freezer yet. It's bigger than it may look. Easy to organize. - Ice Dispenser is great! Better than the 2 Samsungs owned previously by far. I like the shape of the cubes, the crushed ice is great, and it produces more ice faster than anything we have owned. With our old refrigerators we kept running out of ice. Not so here. - Low Noise Level. Very reasonable and about the same as our previous 2 refrigerators. It's almost like white noise. Don't really notice it unless house is completely quiet and then it is still not a distraction. The ice maker noise level is also low. You can hear the cubes dump and the water running when it refills. But, again, only what you would expect. I have never owned a quieter ice maker. In my experience with every refrigerator we have owned, including the Samsungs, I have always been able to hear the ice drop or the water when filling. The in door ice and water work perfectly. No dropped ice cubes or splattered water unless you don't hold the glass up properly. This was a real problem with our past refrigerators but not here. - Size, Counter Depth & Finish. This is a great size for tighter spaces due to its outside design. It has flat doors (rather than curved) and sleek handles. It not only has an expensive, purposeful look, it sits out less than any other refrigerator we could find. This was important to us because it is located at a standard 36 inch doorway. This fits much better than our previous CD fridge. It also has a great finish that blends in nicely with our other stainless appliances. Doors align perfectly. Easy to clean and seems to resist smudges and finger prints as well. Although, I am sure this is due,at least in part, to the excellent cleaner that we use on all our stainless appliances. CONS - Several reviews mention the need for an additional freezer shelf, refrigerator shelf, or both. This is true. Especially in the freezer, where I will be ordering 2 more shelves. I guess you could use an additional shelf in the refrigerator but we prefer the added height using only the shelved that came with it. To me, adding shelves would be a personal preference. Overall, this is a great CD refrigerator at a very attractive price. In our opinion, it fits better, looks better, and performs better than refrigerators costing more than twice the price of our new Whirlpool.

This refrigerator was a great purchase. I've been using it for a little over two months now and feel like I can give an honest review. I love the monochromatic stainless steel and the counter depth look. It makes very little noise and doesn't run excessively. One thing to note, with it being counter depth, it does reduce the size of the freezer (see photo). I have a family of two and it has been a challenge fitting everything in at times. The refrigerator side is decent although the door bins could be spaced better. They're really close and although they can be moved, there are specific places where each size can fit (unless there's something that I haven't figured out yet about how to rearrange them). All in all, it's a good fridge and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is a great buy! Stainless so magnets actually stick to the front. Ice cubes small. Runs quietly. Food neither too cold nor too warm - I had a first generation LG French door and a lot of my food would freeze in the refrigerator section. Also really like the lever for ice and the lever for water. Extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Great fridge for price. It's our 3rd fridge in 6 years for 3 houses. Right on par with performance, ice, water and versatility. Wouldn't change a thing. It's a counter depth, so I thought we'd lose a little space, but everything from our standard fridge fit perfect. Highly recommend. Love the LED lights inside, well lit, and most importantly, looks great in our kitchen

I am very happy with this purchase. It has a simple, attractive design. The temperature is perfect in the regular fridge and in the freezer. It is quite spacious, and most of all, it is quite silent. Totally recommended! :)

We did not want to spend too much, so we searched the bundles. Initially we were not even thinking of counter-depth fridge, but saw it in the store next to the one that was included in Whirlpool $1999 kitchen appliances deal and it looked so much better. We ordered online and just changed the fridge from bundle and still got some extra discount, even so this one did not belong to initial package. Now that it arrived we are so happy with it. We have small wall in the end of kitchen thats 26" depth, so our new fridge is exactly the same depth and it looks so nice. And, not just about the looks. We are so happy to have ice (cubes or crushed) and filtered water. So no more buying water bottles anymore! Very happy with purchase. Rest of the products in bundle were okay, but this fridge is the best.

This is a good size refrigerator. I like that is it counter depth. Functions like any other fridge but I have a couple cons to list: 1. items on the first shelf constantly get frozen, it seems like the cool air does not distribute well. I have had many bottle explosions and frozen leftovers. I have adjusted the temp to the highest setting and my food/beverages are still frozen on the top shelf. 2. The ice dispenser constantly gets jammed to the point where I don't even use it and just open the freezer and grab the ice out of the ice bucket. I don't know if the ice shoot is just opened too long after dispensing the ice causing too much moisture to come into the tunnel but it seems like everytime I clean it out a few days later it will be completely clogged with a giant piece of ice.

After upgrading/remodeling our kitchen we decided it was time to retire our 20-year old Kenmore refrigerator. We had some criteria that we were fixed on: stainless steel outside, side by side doors, ice maker bucket on the door, ice/water station outside the freezer door and counter depth. We didn't care about the brand name or if it had other amenities that was ok, too. We are excellent shoppers and after looking around town and online, we decide on this Whirlpool mode. After pricing the unit at multiple places, Best Buy had the lowest price by $10 but they also offered free delivery, which the others charged $60 for. When you add the Best Buy Rewards into the mix, it was a no-brainer to buy from Best Buy! We are very happy with the unit. Being counter depth, it is now a huge refrigerator, but our son is off to college this summer so we don't need as much room anyway! The water filter is very easy to replace. We can really taste a huge difference in the water and ice! We wound up buying an extra two freezer shelves online because most of our freezer items are small. The unit is a tad louder than our old one but that is ok. The stainless does not collect fingerprints like some did in the store. I like that it has some electronics on it (door not closed, temperature settings, etc.) but it isn't so complicated that my wife can handle it. All in all, we are very happy with this unit!

More room than it looks. Ice maker is quick. Very well lit. We love it.

This fridge was a little pricey but it worked for my situation. My door was an odd size and I wanted a fridge with an ice maker and water dispenser. This was the only one that would fit through my door. The inside seems to be a bit on the small side but other than that, it cools and freezes amazingly well.

I needed a Refrigerator that would fit in a particular space in a very small kitchen, but also wanted one that had everything, meaning water & ice dispenser in door. The Whirlpool fit the bill in every aspect, counter depth, looks good, works great, what could be better, Oh another reason for my purchase the cost a really great price for the perfect custom fit I needed, Highly Recommend.
