Has issues with the right side door

Plastic trays are flimsy and frequently get stuck and cannot be pulled out. To access the produce trays, both sides of the door must be opened. When you open and close the left side of the door, the right side may partially open and not seal properly. The freezer is relatively spacious for this small refrigerator. This fridge is quiet.

Poor craftsmanship

Bad over gluing rough edges $2000.00 doesnt get you much anymore kinds sad! But overall the fridge has a nice water access and ice machine works great so if it wasn't for the bad sloppy work it would be a nice fridge!

Requires repair

Delivery people were not prepared with the tools to remove the old fridge and bring in this new one. My husband had to help them to remove some framing on the our outside door and remove the doors on the old fridge. 2. The center piece on the door was loose and eventually fell off, covered under warranty-Whirlpool repaired. 3. Called local appliance tech because my husband thought he didn't have the correct part to hook up the water line, Turns out that the part was actually broken, most likely fridge was dropped and the part probably has black asphalt residue. The tech took some backing off of fridge and found a dent in the back. Bought 5/29/21.

FRENCH DOORS IN THIS WIDTH CATEGORY IS A BAD IDEA!

First of all, despite published information to the contrary, this is not an application for a corner wall; even with many inches to spare in available width, one door will never open as wide as the other, making access and cleaning a constant irritation and vexing experience. To generalize, no refrigerator in this width category should have French doors, as access is so much easier dealing with one full width door rather than two skinny doors that, even in the most ideal space, do not completely open. Also the slide-in 1/4 shelf to accommodate tall items is a gimmick. I eventually removed the entire shelf to provide much more room for tall items using one less shelf. The full width deli drawer is a generally good idea, but it should have been made a couple of inches vertically deeper. The downside is that if anything spills over from the shelves above, the deli drawer will be sure to catch it. The ice maker is very nice. Front-mounted controls are easy to use, but there is nothing that shows refrigerator or freezer temperatures. Also, after being in service for only about 2-1/2 years, the refrigerator compartment cooling completely clonked out while the freezer continues to operate. Guessing that either a circulating fan or control damper failed. I am thankful that I purchased an extended warranty.

Fridge great! Install not so much

The reason I’m giving 2 stars is based on the whole purchase experience. I was able to make the purchase very easily in store. Employee was very knowledgeable about the fridge, had a great experience there. My fridge has an ice maker and water available for use but if your house doesn’t have hookups (mine does not) they schedule you with a 3rd party company for the install. Delivery went smoothly, my fridge was packaged up well and they didn’t damage anything on delivery. Very professional and fridge works wonderfully. The water/ice line install was delayed to almost a month later (fine). The day of installation my window was schedule for 7am-10am. I got a voicemail and phone call the day before reminding me of this. I waited patiently and 10am came and went. I figured they were running behind but then 11am and nothing. No call and no one showed. By this time I’m calling the numbers Best Buy had given me and I’m not able to reach a live person and was given a hold time of 3 minutes and 20 minutes later their phone system hung up on me. Next day I finally reach a live person and he tells me that I have to wait another 24hrs to find out what happened. Okay. So I wait another 24hrs and finally reach another live person. My phone call with her lasted over an hour while she was getting bounced around and transferred. They wanted to reschedule me for the end of March. Why am I being punished for a company not showing up or calling me? Obviously I was not okay with that and they have me rescheduled for March 8th, a week after my original date. I’m not going to hold my breath. An appliance purchase is a big one and for Best Buy to use a company that doesn’t take pride in showing up for scheduled appointments or bother with a phone call is beyond me. Because of the lack of professionalism, I will certainly be rethinking any future appliance purchases here especially if they involve 3rd parties.

I originally bought delivery and installation and removal of my refrigerator with this. Then I found a friend that could do it for me quicker. Instead of canceling the whole thing out and just charging me again for the refrigerator, (Which is what they said they were going to do ), They only credited me for a couple of the items. They keep saying they credited me for all of the items, but they did not. It doesn’t show up on my credit card.

Paid for delivery and installation but the installation were not completed, I was told that I need to finish it. They start removing the plastic protective was Not remove and plastic is being left at the edges, which make this expensive fridge looking unacceptable.

So far I’m not impressed with this refrigerator.

I like the versatility of the shelves. But the freezer is a disaster. The bottom of the freezer underneath the drawer consistently builds up with ice, which then melts and leaks onto the floor. The tech said that maybe the door wasn’t fully closed but it is doing it all the time and the freezer is always closed.

Whirlpool refrigerator

The freezer door gets stuck, the shelves in the fridge are cheaply made and there really isn’t that much more room than my old refrigerator. Very disappointing. For the amount of money we spent, I was expecting a much better quality product.

The worst refrigerator I have ever owned

That's the only thing it does, and it does not do it well. I hate this refrigerator so much. So. Much. This thing is so ridiculously loud, it cools so incredibly unevenly, and is so poorly laid out that I I get mad every time I go into my kitchen and have to see and HEAR it. I hate, HATE this heap of junk so much, but I'm stuck with it. Don't make the same massive $2000 mistake that I did. And I would guess that it's best to steer clear of all Whirlpool appliances if this is the level of quality they aspire for at this price point.

I try to ensure that the air vent isn’t blocked but it still freezez my groceries I can’t return it anymore and i spent a lot of my hard earned money. Freezer works great only issue I have is that when the ice container gets full it overflows and there is no alert for it when it gets full.

Molded plastic in bottom rear of refrigerator compartment is warped and prevents one drawer from closing completely. Left door won't close by itself, has to be pushed hard. The flap that creates the seal between doors does not fold without force. Hope geek squad can fix this. All of this should have been observed at the factory. IMO, the 30 inch width is too narrow for French doors. Both doors have to be opened to retrieve most items. Not worth $2000, but perhaps that is what should be expected these days.

Also the freezer drawer does not open with ease it seems to get caught on something every time we open and close it.

Very Disappointing Experience

A thick coating of ice forms on the back side of the freezer box which melts and drops water all over our new wood floor. The Best Buy installer did not check for proper operation before leaving. Both the Best Buy sales person and the Best Buy 800 number are uninterested in helping us. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.

Refrigerator not cooling

Best Buy stated I would have to call Whirlpool for warranty work. I will NEVER buy anything else again from Best Buy. They have been no help at all.

The technicians didn't tell me they pushed the fridge in the enclosed spot and only said they couldn't run the water line. I haven't heard a word from Best Buy about a refund for installing a water line. The fridge holds an odor

OK refrigerator

The one drawer on the left doesn't fit well. We're going to set up a service call but the refrig is at out vacation home so this may take some time. We never figure out how to install the air filter, poor instructions.

Refrigerator and Freezer Not Working Properly

Refrigerator won't cool below 42-44 degrees despite being set at three stars. Freezer shows frost. Customer service very hard to contact (had to wait over 1/2 hour), then palmed me off on Whirlpool. Hopefully Whirlpool techs can fix this or else we'll have to send this thing back. In addition, temperature should be in degrees rather than stars.
