This is an excellent counter top model for the price on sale ($1099.99) a couple of issue found, the unit is lighter than my previous 12 year old Whirlpool so when opening the door on tiles floor the refrig. rolls forward so you need to remove the front plastic bottom cover (remove 2 screws with both doors open and pull both end softly) lower both front screws to stop it from rolling, second I made the mistake to put a dutch tape holding the extra long metal hose from the ice maker and it clink when opening the door (do not attach nothing to the back) after addressing these 2 issues, all good , very nice finish, working great and yes all ice maker make noise when doing and dropping ice cubes

This fridge is just what I needed. I wanted something my mom can use without bending. So a two door access to fridge and freezer without bending. You can take cold water and ice without opening the fridge. The shelves are made of glass (not the grill like things) in both fridge and freezer, so stuff doesn't fall. I am a happy customer.

Refrigerator works fine and looks fine but the ice maker is incredibly loud. It can be turned off thankfully. This may be the case with all fridges where the ice maker is in the door. Besides the noise level, it is fine. Need more shelves in freezer and butter dish as well as an egg keeper would be recommend improvements as well.

I have never left a review for a product until now, but this is such a lousy refrigerator i felt it my civic duty to warn others. From the outside it looks nice, and it is counter depth which is what i wanted for my small kitchen. As others have indicted it is hard to keep smudge free, has a cheap interior with not enough shelves. the shelves are also not spill proof so if you do spill anything it will drip down the back, sides and front of the shelf all over the place. The biggest issue however is it does not cool evenly. The refrigerator temp on the top shelf is below freezing even after increasing the preset temp by 1 degree, and down on the bottom shelf a couple feet below it ranges from 37 - 39 ( a 4 degree difference between top and bottom. Anything above the second shelf is likely to freeze. I actually set up 3 thermometers and the temperature varies widely even on the same shelf. For example top shelf will be at 39 degrees then drop below freezing. It is a pile of dung

Works well for our needs. Fingerprint free stainless easy to maintain.

I've had this for over a month now. So far, no major issues. I've had issues with temperature control (I had to increase the fridge temp by 3 degrees, freezer by 1), but it seems to be better now. It can get a little noisy but not bad at all. It looks and feels good though. Hopefully I feel the same way in a few years

I like this refrigerator because all the shelves are usable. The last fridge I had was a Samsung and it was trying to hard with the wine racks and weird shelves. This one is simple and does the job well. I would recommend this one a thousand times. I will never buy another Samsung product again in my life.

Refigerator was delivered on 8-13-2014 called on 8-25-2014 ice maker wasn't working. 9-25-2014 called for service; it was freezing food. Temperature was fluctuating; food frozen or spoiled. Termastate was changed. 11-8-2014 frig temperature still fluctuating from 22-44 degrees; food frozen or spoiled, baffle motor changed. Called 11-10-2014, someone will be out 11-13-14. . 11-17-14 Whirlpool doesn't know anything about part, someone will be out 11-18-14. 11-21-14 repairman came out. 11-24-14 called Whirlpool; ice maker isn't' working. 12-1-14 repairman didn't show up. Reason: repair company didn't show up because they don't do 2nd opinions. 12-4-14 called Whirlpool; repair frig, food covered with moisture. Dec 8, 2014 waiting to have refrigerator repaired; ice maker broken & food covered with moisture. DON't BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!

Great medium family and fits in kitchen like a charm. Works super great and well worth the money. Well recommend to all of you. Best Buy has the super great customer service. Very helpful

This refrigerator is very loud. Whirlpool doesn't even give you all the shelves required for the freezer. The ice maker is very noisy and the water dispenser is hard to push to get the water out.. Beware of buying this product since you will be stuck with it for many years...maybe. Heed the warnings of other reviewers. A shame because it is a nice looking refrigerator. This is my first and last Whirlpool product. Need a washer & dryer, so I'll be looking at Samsung's or something else...

This Whirlpool refrigerator has been on local news cast for freezing items inside of the refrigerator section. After one year, our whirlpool bought at BestBuy freezes eggs, milk, meat products just like the freezer. In other words, even though we paid for BestBuy 5 year, GSP Geek Squad plan, we get another Whirlpool which in this case is two lemons more than likely. Additionally yes Whirlpool will not help much, and BestBuy will replace it with exactly another one at THEIR discretion. Best advice is read all details for Geek Squad, they have final decision as to what should be done and not you the buyer.

I cannot believe all of these reviews wherein Whirlpool gets excellent ratings. I then observed that almost every reviewer has only had their new refrige about 3 months. We have a Whirlpool side by side with a bottom freezer. We needed a new ice maker within one year. Then, other issues began which are too numerous to list. As of last week, the inside of the refrigerator no longer cools and is 60 degrees. It took a week for whirlpool to send out a technician. They have no emergency service nor do they have any of the techs from the company (subcontractors) that work on weekends. Anyway, the tech that came out stated we needed a new part which he had to order. It will take another week for him to come back out because he stated they are "overwhelmed" with repairs on the Whirlpool brand of refrigerators. Thank God we bought the extended warranty policy for five years. We paid $188.00 for it. The refrige is only two years old. Whirlpool has already paid for repairs in excess of $1,500.00 This refrigerator is by far the WORST we have ever owned. Whirlpool has treated us very poorly and had no interest in helping us except to say "You'll have to wait like everyone else' It is obvious that they are only interested in the customer having to pay for a new refrigerator because that means continued reoccurring revenue. Whirlpool can KMA if they think I will buy another product with their name on it.

Our previous Whirlpool side-by-side fridge lasted 31.5 years so we opted for another one when it finally broke. This one hasn't worked since we got it. Temperature on top shelf stays at ~28 degrees regardless of temperature setting. 2nd shelf almost as cold. Everything freezes on first and second shelves. So far service has been out eight times in the 10 weeks we've had it, replaced three components, and still can't solve the problem. The last time they were out, the ice maker stopped working. Terrible design. The other comments that folks have about the noisy icemaker and lack of shelf space are also true, but at least theirs works!

We owned the refrigerator for less than 2 years. before the compressor failed and filter leaked. The Geek Squad was incredibly slow to repair the refrigerator. My food spoiled and Geek Squad pays a maximum of $200. The doesn't go far when you have to buy every meal for nine (9) days (until Geek Squad could schedule a repair) and replace everything in the refrigerator. I could not be more disappointed with the product or Geek Squad's service. Terrible.

Thing sounds slightly quieter than a freight train running through my kitchen. More importantly, the icemaker stopped working. That shouldn't happens when it's 14 months old. Disappointed with this product because I imagine it will be a $0.23 part that I'll need to pay $200 to get repaired.
