Drawers will not open and close. Top shelf very short. Big mistake buying this refrigerator. Wish I had my old one back

We've been very pleased with this refrigerator since our purchase. This model meet our size limitations and actually improved the organizational space in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. It has a beautiful finish and appears to be well made and is a breeze to roll out for cleaning under and behind the appliance. To address some complaints I have been reading from other reviews found on this site, I want to hit on a few and comment on how they are either resolved, or are not an issue at all. 1) The water dispenser drips after use and runs down the front of the freezer door. To be honest, ours did too! But upon reading the setup instructions in detail I noticed a recommended procedure for bleeding air out of the water system. It asks that you dispense water for 5 seconds, wait 5 seconds and repeat this operation until you've dispensed 3 gallons of water in total. Easy enough to do with a pitcher to measure your progress. Guess what? It worked like a charm and the dispenser hasn't dripped once since then. It makes sense when you think about what this does, so do it if you have a dripping issue. 2) The doors do not line up across the top between the freezer and refrigerator sides. Again, ours looked a little off to when we first set it up. However the manual also states that the doors are not set to align perfectly when the doors are empty. Adding the weight of items to the doors brings the alignment back to nearly perfection without the need to do any door leveling adjustments. Even if it's still off a little, the instructions for adjusting the doors is simple and easy to do. Not an issue at all. 3) The interior shelves are not adjustable in either the freezer or refrigerator. This is true indeed. But think about the price point and the fact that the available shelf space is pretty impressive for a unit this size. You also have lots of adjustable placement options for the plastic shelving in the refrigerator door. We used this flexibility to offset the lack of it on the shelves. Add the purchase of clear plastic organizer bins to either section and you can make better use of the available space. We've started to implement this with our refrigerator and the benefits are showing. 4) The finish is bubbling or peeling on the doors! (Maybe not a direct complaint, but photos showed some folks having complaints. The doors come with a protective film on them that you need to remove to get to the actual stainless steel (or whatever finish you have) and they peel off with only a little difficulty at the edges. So don't forget to peel this off when you are setting up your appliance. 5) There's not enough space for even a family of 2 much less 3 or 4. I guess this is a matter of what each individual feels is sufficient space and what they feel is more important to place in their refrigerator and freezer space. We've been a family of 4 for 18+ years and a 21 cu. ft. refrigerator has been very sufficient for us all of these years. Some reviewers posted photos with massive quantities of water bottles or colas taking up space in their units. I guess you trade off space for food when things like this are more important. It's a personal choice. But the space works for our family. We are very pleased with our purchase. For the price, the features are very competitive to other brands of the same general class and cubic feet capacity. You really can't go wrong with this model if it fits your needs for space and aesthetics. Don't pass this one by without giving it a good look.

I had this refrigerator for less than a month and the ice maker broke.

Noisy Door hinge squeaks loudly after 3 weeks. Very light and slides away from wall each time door is opened.

Delivery service not good. Very careless. Refrigerator dented in several places

delivery problems. Refrig. damaged!!! Can't get any response/help.

Had to get a fridge with critical dimensions. Best Buy came through.

I was limited to space and this fridge was perfect size for my space and matched the rest of my whirlpool appliances. It works pretty well. All in all its not much different from my old one. Pros: Has large shelfs in the door Looks nice Water and ice in door Crisper drawers Led bulbs Not as expensive as most Door controls are nice and easy to use Cons: Main shelfs are not adjustable Top self should have more space to hold taller items Louder than my older whirlpool unit Shelfs seem to be made of cheaper plastic Water despenser doesnt have a drip guard

Do not buy. Wet all the time in refrigerator. Handles constantly loosen. Complete failure and loss off all food due to auto defrost circuit failure at 4 moths . Lag in war a ntee service although technican was nice, 3 weeks with no refridgerator is unexeptable.

Bought the stainless monochromatic one as that's the only one that will fit in our tiny little space where fridge is designated. We couldn't do the standard 36" (width) It is not quite counter flushed. It comes out as around 31.5-32. Plenty of storage inside. I like it. The fridge looks sleek and modern. we have not hooked up the water and ice maker so I can't comment on that just yet but they were right about it being loud! For a new modern fridge, that is a little disappointing. It hums louder than our old beat up top freezer fridge. I mean it is not humming all the time it would have its quiet time but it happens often. Why whirlpool?? Would I recommend? sure. Especially if you are limited with the size options.

I just had this fridge installed today. I bought it as part of a Whirlpool suite. The first thing we noticed was how loud it was. It was so loud that I was willing to exchange it for another brand and have mismatch appliances. I was about to purchase noise absorbing foam panels to attach to the wall behind the fridge when I decided to see if I could fix it one last time. I pulled it away from the wall and I discovered that if I loosened the screws holding on the cardboard cover it helped tremendously! The horribly loud buzzing noise stopped and it sounds normal! It now just has a normal level hum. I’m so excited that I just had to share this info and hopefully it will help for yours too.

We've had this refrigerator for a few months now and I'm on the verge of regretting buying it. Our space is limited so the size of this unit is perfect, however, it isn't configured to use its relatively limited space in anything close to an efficient way. The shelves are where they are; you can only remove them (no optional height adjustments). The door bins are adjustable, but they're deep and you all but have to use one them for gallon containers (while sacrificing room above so can get jugs out). The top shelf is the only place which allows taller items, but the light fixture and the 'cooling port' take up significant amounts of that limited space (no to mention the fact that anything left directly in line with the 'port' will be frozen by the cold air). The water dispenser in the door discharges warm (tap temp) water, which isn't a huge deal but why not cold? And finally, the noise from the compressor is obnoxious! Seriously, we replaced a refrigerator that was made in the 80s and this new unit is 3 times louder! It 'growls'/hums and runs so frequently that it's starting to get on my nerves. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, but I really wish we could have done a try-it-before-you-buy-it. I guess we learned a lesson from this one.
