It’s 3:24 AM and I’m awake because of this fridge.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this fridge less than 4 months ago and it worked very well for the first 45 days. Then all of the sudden, it starts randomly beeping. We thought it was because we had stuff on top of it but it turns out there was some sort of system error and it was unable to produce ice. So we had someone come out to look at it and he tries and fails to fix it. He proceeds to tell us that the parts are on back order until early October (he came out in July). So we have been buying our own ice and dealing with it because the incessant beeping stopped and that’s what was most important to me. Well fast forward to right now, at 3 o’clock in the morning and it has started beeping AGAIN! I have been woken up 3 times now and at 7 months pregnant, I’m already not sleeping well enough. Every time we call for an update they don’t give us any valuable information. Do not buy this refrigerator!! If something happens to it, neither whirlpool or Best Buy is going to do a thing to help you.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DO NOT BUY!! These WP side by side with water in door have a systemic problem. The wires going into the freezer door on the bottom will all break in about 1.5 yrs. Unless you are ready to repair about 8 wires, you can expect a hefty bill for the fix. I have repaired my sister's unit. Bad engineering.

Quit working after 18 months

Sign of the times
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not work anymore after 3 years. Technician replaced the circuit board and it lasted 2 weeks. He checked every component again free of charge and said that it was likely wiring harness and unrepairable at this point. They build these pieces of junk to fail on you within 3-5 years so you will have to buy another one. Better get a 5 year warranty because these appliance companies do not care about you as a consumer or your hard earned money.

Bad best buy and geek squad

Ice maker went out.best buy geek squad are terrible. 4 times scheduled someone to come out and fix ice maker.one guy showed up 10 min later said it was fixed. One week later broke again. Three times ive callled geek squad what a joke. Three time waited all day know one showed up no call nothing. Asked to speak to a supervisor nothing. I will never ever buy from best buy. Take your money else where. U pay for a protection plan and cant get it fixed. What a joke geek squad and best buy. From this i will be cutting up my best buy card.

Not good

Don't buy model with water and ice dispenser!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The water dispenser will drip down the side of the fridge and on to the floor after you are done filling up a glass of water. And the ice dispenser will drop a cube or two of ice on the floor as well (and don't even bother using crushed ice as it will spray the crushed ice all over the floor). I complained to Whirlpool and they sent a repair person out but they won't fix it because they say the problem is normal for this model.

Horrible

They tried to deliver my fridge 3 times and each time they lied about first delivery guys didnt attempt to deliver, second group said they need a 4 man team , third time they only 2 people show up and don't even attempt to deliver the item or remove the old item. I will be taking my business elsewhere never again

Wish I had Another Choice

It came three time, one was sent as of out of box product, not what I paid for. Delivery was each time horrible, and installation was not finished. The poorest service possible.

Unreliable

Constantly runs, poor insulation

We only have two people in the family worh very little in the refrigerator and this runs a lot which means a waste of electricity. It truns on if you just open the door for a second regardless of the lowest setting. Insulation is a joke too and it frels cold to the touch on the outsides!!!

MY WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 40 days compressor failed and had to be replaced due to contaminants in the unit. After 3 month the ice maker failed; after 6 months compressor is out again. I have lost the entire contents of my refrigerator twice. Customer service at Whirlpool is not helpful; books appointments that do not exist causing two weeks of delays. I HATE THIS REFRIGERATOR. I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!
