Customers are saying

Customers commend the 22 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator for its overall performance, impressive capacity, suitable size, normal noise level, great design, and spot-on temperature control. The LED lighting is also a highlight for many users. However, some customers have noted that the door can be hard to open and that the surface is prone to showing fingerprints.

the fridge is very good but it is pretty loud when it clicks on to cool things again. so sometimes that is annoying. other than that there is plenty of space to store things with adjustable shelving in fridge. and the freezer has plenty of room as well.

We didn't want an overly large fridge; we wanted a good quality medium to full size and this fits the bill well. Good and efficient space inside. Looks good. If you don't need an external water and ice dispenser, this is worth serious consideration.

Refrigerator performed well but the two crisper drawers did not fit well and were sticky to open and close. It took from early March to end of May for manufacture to replace and the new drawers were little better than the first ones. The drawers on the floor model at Best Buy did not have the problem but this Whirlpool model is no longer available at Best Buy.

I love the bottom freezer. Items are very easy to get to. We love the large door shelves. So milk can go into the door for easy access. The price was very reasonable.

Much Better Than My Old One

Previously having a side by side I find this refrigerator much easier to find and retrieve items. The half, fully adjustable shelves allows the placement where I want them rather then where the manufacturer chooses. My favorite thing is the adjustable small drawer set low allows three egg cartons to just slide under, saving space.

Good temp stability and love the spaciousness for its size. Yes, this fridge has its flaws. Stainless is easily soiled, it's a bit loud at times, the freezer compartment is not as flexible. BUT.... Stainless, it only soils if your hands or fingers are not clean. Not a bad thing cause if you touching the fridge with soiled hands, you want to know its dirty and may be harboring bacteria, so you'll be more compelled to clean it. Noise - the fridge emits two different sounds that are louder than most people would prefer. But unless you are sleeping next to or too close to the fridge, it shouldn't bother you. Freezer compartment not flexible cause baskets or locked in place. You can work around it, wasn't a big deal to me. Overall, for the money, I think it's a good fridge and would highly recommend it.

Really wanted a bottom freezer and this fridge is great! I feel like the fridge holds so much. Sometimes the fridge door gets stuck because the suction can get tight.

Replacing Amana refrigerator also made by Whirlpool. Bought same bottom freezer configuration. Stainless doors. Grey textured sides and top. Came with factory-installed ice maker. My requirements were split shelves that could be positioned independently with lots of shelf positions for taller items. I put refrigerator/freezer thermometer in both refrigerator and freezer and compartments are both accurate at factory settings. FYI I use vinyl shelf liner in freezer drawers and up sides to prevent smaller items from falling through and prevent entire freezer cooling from emptying on floor when freezer drawer when open. FYI Old Amana and this new Whirlpool use identical shelf brackets. Transferred old sliding shelves, butter bin and door bins to new refrigerator to give me additional space.

This fridge is a good fit for tighter areas. Seems to be well insulated because it runs much less than our previous GE unit. It also has good lighting inside. I'm very satisfied with this unit.

Although paid for inside delivery, my son had to follow up and lower the "feet" so unit wouldn't slide away from wall when pulling out freezer, but unit is good so far. If you do not hook up to a water line for automatic ice cube making, push arm down so you do not have to listen to the noise coming from the freezer when it attempts to make them.

I got this fridge to replace a 15 year old fridge that was making weird noises. This fridge cools well and has a nice, roomy interior, however it's a bit noisier than I would expect a brand new fridge to be. There is an annoying buzzing when the compressor starts, which according to Google is normal (but it's annoying!) and the compressor itself is a bit noisy. The noise is fine for now, but I imagine it will get even louder with age which will not be OK.

Got this Frig for about $1000 , went for the bottom freezer so I don't have to bend over as much, love it. Other good points, temp control and led lighting, also because of the deep door there is a shelf when opened, great for making a sandwich or pouring a glass. Cons are, cheap drawers and as others have said, slightly louder than expected. (although I live in a quiet house)

This refrigerator is very sleek looking. I was worried that I would not have enough room in the freezer, but there is plenty. The refrigerator section is very spacious and designed welt. It is a little noisy, but not too bad. I bought this refrigerator for my second home. Might purchase a second for my main residence.

I am very happy to have gotten a new name brand refrigerator that was not only on sale but is one of the two that I liked the best. It is cooling my food wonderfully well, and feels much roomier than my old one, a side-by-side that was probably about 30 years old. It was delivered in the morning of the promised date and was installed quickly. It is a brand that I am well acquainted with, as well. All in all, it is the ideal refrigerator for me!

I had a very similar Whirlpool fridge that was an excellent appliance and lasted about 15 years. So when I had to finally replace it I wanted another Whirlpool. This one has the split shelves and an ice maker like the other one, but no “techs” stuff on it (eg blue tooth). I have that stuff elsewhere and don’t need it on my fridge. The biggest difference is that the freezer is on the bottom and I love that feature. I use the fridge more often than the freezer and it is now at eye level. The construction of this appliance is great. The shelves in the fridge and the door are solid and adjustable, There’s a strong suction on the door to keep temperatures stable in the fridge. I think I’m going to enjoy this appliance.

Haven’t had the refrig long enough to really rate It- so far so good- if you have to switch the door handle watch out- whirlpool will not send a door with no handle and switching them leaves scratches in a finish that shows scratches.First installer was really awful left scratches and broke plastic parts -,-required another delivery and whirlpool wasn’t very cooperative as well as Best Buy wanted to replace but didn’t keep up with that reorder.

I must start this review by saying run, don’t walk away from this company. If the slightest thing goes wrong with your order you will NOT be able to get in touch with any live person. Even after driving to the store where I purchased this overpriced refrigerator I wasn’t able to receive any satisfactory solution. I was promised call backs that never came. There is no in store phone system anymore. It all goes through call centers. I’ve never worked so hard to get something done. They use untrained delivery people who don’t think to do something as simple as locking the wheels in place after delivery. Yes, I’ve been waiting and working towards getting someone back just to do this for me. It’s not so simple on this unit. The refrigerator itself is ok. A model like this would have sold for $899 a few years ago. Everything about the quality is cheap. I had no choice as to purchase this because everything else under $2000 is back ordered. The door doesn’t even close on its own. All I can do is warn people, if you can’t walk out with the product you’re purchasing do not walk in to this store and place an order, unless of course you have hours of time to waste chasing down a solution to your issue
