Door ice maker is poor

It plugs up all the time and when you open the door ice goes all over. We clean up ice messes all the time. Very inconvenient. We would not recommend. This is the first appliance I have ever wanted to return. Please help me return it. I did not learn the Ice maker was terrible until after my 15 day return time. I have only had it in my house about 20 days.

The service tech who installed it said this was normal and it would stop, but it did not. Although the size was similar to my old fridge, 25 cubic foot, the layout is do bad it will not hold nearly the sale amount of food.
