Just bought this dishwasher and the sponge behind the lower door is drenched.

This product stopped working after about one year.

Terrible. Loud and doesnt dry at all. Not worth it.

It worked fine until the motor died 4 years later. For the price and name brand i feel like this item should last longer. Pros - smudge free and cleaned well up until it stopped working suddenly.

Purchased dishwasher 5 years ago and it still running well. However, the racks are not as good as other brands cuz cannot load efficiently, also not as quiet as it claimed. Sales told me that I can extend my protection plan after 5 years, however, just found out that it's not true, Bestbuy doesn't offer any extended protection plan after the first one.

Overall happy with the dishwasher, but the control panel has died 3 different times and needed to be replaced. Not sure if it is just my unit or the overall build of this dishwasher.

Cleans everything very well, super quiet, very handy silverware rack. Stainless steel looks very sharp also! Very satisfied with it

The top rack broke on the left side after one warranty expired. No overloading. No heavy-handed handling. Just poor quality. Don't focus on the good reviews, read the 1 and 2 stars to avoid bad products.

Horrible purchase. Not worth almost $1,000. It’s made cheap and the warranty is a joke, do not purchase it. Ours broke soon after purchase and it took them 3 trips back out within 3 weeks because they kept bringing the wrong part.

It does a decent job washing. It leaves a lot of residue on silicone dishes. Part W10712395 has busted with regular use 3 times (once more from a toddler pulling on the rack). It’s not the easiest to find and not a cheap part to replace. We’ve been very careful. The part lasts about 2 months before busting again.

Have had this installed for around 3 months now. Like every other review on here, ours too has never dried the dishes correctly. Honestly, that is not a big deal to us but now the front door is leaking like a few other reviewers have said. Whirlpool has been an absolute joke to deal with on this matter! Some of the worst customer service I have ever received with no exaggeration. We have not been able to use our dishwasher for 2 weeks now and have gotten no help from whirlpool. They were supposed to send a technician out on Monday so my fiancé took off work since that was the only day we were able to get this done. The service provider called 20 minutes before they were supposed to show up on Monday and said they will not make it. They said whirlpool books appointments without knowing the "realtime" of their available appointments. I really wish we had went with the Samsung appliance suite over the whirlpool and so much for the 3 year extended service plan we purchased lol. What a joke!

We purchased our Whirlpool dishwasher. August 21 did $949. It was delivered on September 14th, 2021. Just over 3 years old, it has started leaking. It requires a new $500 motor. I contacted Whirlpool and was offered 20% discount on a new one or 15% for one on sale. I will never purchase anything, Whirlpool

So, I suppose my compliant is somewhat irrelevant, however, I am going to voice it anyways... This dishwasher looks good, cleans well, but does NOT dry the dishes! I have come to learn, however, that pretty much all new dishwashers are designed to utilize a rinse aid, in order to fully dry the dishes. I find this to be un-acceptable. I am NOT going to add chemicals known to cause reproductive and nervous system damage and cancer to my eating utensils in the name of a few dollars a year in electricity. My house has solar panels!!! (Rinse aids do not place the ingredient list on the packaging. You have to google it to find out what's in it.)

we bought this dishwasher (wdt730pahz) this dishwasher has leaked from the bottom of the door since it was installed by a professional plumber .We have had the plumber out twice it was was instlalled correctly . We have called whirlpool 2 times 1st time they it was not level. The 2nd time they were giving us hard time to have whirlpool service man come out they if was not a part problem the going to charge us a $150 call. The service man came out worked on and said it ready to go . We ran it for first time since service man came out and still leaking from the bottom of the door all the insolation batting under door is completely soaked. Now we have to call whirlpool back what a pain for the 3rd time. I had bought a whirlpool water about 10 years ago that to was defective end up taking back to lowes after going back and forth with whirlpool after these 2 experiences I will never buy a whirlpool product ever again.

I am giving it two stars because it is better than not having a dishwasher at all, but overall I hate this thing. It was over 900 dollars after the installation cost and I constantly am pulling out still dirty dishes after each cycle, even when I use the heavy cycle on average-ly dirty dishes. The normal cycle is over 3 hours and the one hour cycle does absolutely nothing. It is extremely frustrating, please save your money and buy something else.

Not very well built needs a lot of upgrades. I would not recommend this model. I’m not saying brand but this model.

My dishwasher is just a year old and this is the third time I’m waiting over two weeks for a repair person to fix it because it won’t even turn on. I’m glad they’ve discontinued this model. It didn’t work well even when it was “working”. Despite the extended warranty, Whirlpool won’t make good on this lemon.

Our motor went bad four months after using our dishwasher. We got the motor replaced and now it’s out of warranty and the motor went bad again, after another six months. They covered the price of the motor but we have a $225 service fee i’m guessing another six months we will have the same issue. Funny how the service fee is more than half of a new dishwasher cost. Regretting that we just bought a 3500$ whirlpool refrigerator.

Bought this unit just over a year ago. The circulation pump just went out on me. I'm looking at around another $150 for a replacement pump. Until the pump went out, the dishwasher was great. But breaking right after the warranty is very disappointing.
