Customers are saying

Customers regard the 24" Built-In Dishwasher with 1-Hour Wash Cycle highly for its quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance, frequently praising the convenience of the third rack. While some appreciate the dishwasher's capacity and ease of use, a few users noted longer than expected wash cycles and some concerns about the durability of the appliance.

I bought this unit to replace an old GE Dishwasher that was not pretty. I wanted to match my refrigerator. I read all the reviews and decided to go with the non-smart model which is identical in look to the smart one. I have decided I do not want any smart appliances due to the multitude of reviews across brands and models that say appliance manufacturers shouldn't write software. Stick to making quality appliances. Also they are instantly out of date, and this isn't an iPhone where I will throw it away yearly for a new one. Now for the review, All of the other reviews are correct, this dishwasher will not completely dry all the items you put in the dishwasher. The old GE would cook away after it was done and pretty much make it an oven in there. even the countertop was hot. I'm convinced they have just opted for energy efficiency than having a "Cook my dishes" button. If you put it on "Heavy" "High Temp Wash" "Heat Dry" "Extended Dry" and "Sani Rinse" it is a 4:33 wash cycle (Yes 4 hours and 33 minutes) it does a great job. The dishes are almost dry. Keep in mind that is 6 button presses to start the washer. I find that if you open the washer after, pull the bottom rack out shake it, then shake the top, leave it for 10 minutes, its fine. The dishes are clean, dry, and the washer is also clean inside. There is a 1 hour cycle that does a good job if you do not completely load it up, and everything is wet after. There is no option for extended dry on that cycle (Annoying). The 8 hour cycle is no better than the 4:33, however it does use less electricity. Which brings me to the difference in this washer. I have energy monitors on all my appliances. this unit on the 4:33 cycle even with California ridiculous power rates costs 30-40 cents to run. That is HALF of the GE model it replaced. That is where this unit shines. It uses no power. The dishes are clean, dry-ish, its almost silent, and the inside of the washer is also spotless. Whirlpool- Remember what cycle I used last time and stop making me press 6 buttons. 6 button presses = Yes, I , Want, Clean, Dry, Dishes, Thanks. The only other issue I have with this unit is the reviews are correct. The silverware holder on the door DOES NOT WORK. move it to the rack. when its on the door there is always moist food trapped everywhere in and around it. Bad design, gross, don't do it. Don't mess with something that isn't broke. Leave it in the rack and be done with it. I only buy Whirlpool, but I feel they have slightly lost their way with trying to add features people will be annoyed by. Aafresh? Don't get me started. The new ranges? read the reviews. No traditional self clean? Read all the reviews on here and make an educated decision. They lost a almost 2k range purchase from me and I went with the 1k one. Cause I want it to work, not smart with a oversensitive touchscreen, no self clean. Just like this washer, 6 button presses and im happy. Why? Everything else is great. We purchased this dishwasher for our new home. I love it! It gets the dishes clean every time and the dryer function works really well. I am rating it a 4, rather than a 5, because it takes 3 hours to run from start to finish. That is the only negative thing about it, but it is quiet, so it really doesn't bother us.

My wife and I purchased a handful of new appliances the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we both agree this is probably the appliance we are most happy with to date. It is very nice looking, very quiet and really does a nice job cleaning the dishes. It is not complicated to use. I would recommend using the rinse aid as it seems to help (we've washed with and without). It is definitely nice to have a dishwasher that actually does dry the dishes as well.

We replaced our old Whirlpool Gold dishwasher that broke that we had used for 11 1/2 years. We were very surprised how this new dishwasher is very quiet. We like the feature of having a 3rd rack. We hope this dishwasher lasts as long as the previous one.

I’ve been a fan of Whirlpool products for years (I grew up on them) and this dishwasher doesn’t disappoint!!!!! I replaced my previous Whirlpool dishwasher (which lasted nearly 10 years) with this model and it performs outstandingly - quiet noise level, third rack functionality, clean and spotless dishes are all 5 star and it looks good as well and is finger print resistant. This is an excellent buy for the money.

What else does it need to do? Cleans all the dishes and is quiet. I love the 3rd rack. Perfect for the sharps. So much room. So much improvement from our past dishwasher. Happy with our purchase. Owned for almost a month. Hoping it continues doing a great job for years to come.

Very quiet, cleans well. Especially like the very top shelf for utensils, etc. Seems like a long time, over 2 hours to wash dishes, but they are clean. Water is still on top of glasses after completion. Lots of places to put the dishes etc. , and easy to load. Bottom shelf is really low to the floor. So far, using it only 1 week, very pleased.

We got this dishwasher to complete a Whirlpool appliance collection. We love it. It’s quiet and looks great. We also like that we can see the remaining cycle time at the top of the dishwasher even though the controls are concealed when its closed. Also like the third rack...it does make it hard for washing really tall glasses though. So far so good!

This dishwasher is excellent. Lots of room for your dishes. The top rack keeps small items from falling down to the bottom. I really like how it gets the dishes dry and it is really quite. My only complaint is that the silverware rack's holes does not allow for most of our silverware to fit down in.

First, this dishwasher cleans very well. BUT, you MUST use Jet Dry (or another brand) AND the heating option to get dry dishes. As soon as we received I wanted to see if others’ comments held true, and yes they did. First time I used no drying agent and no heating, that was a mess, water everywhere. Next time used the drying agent and heat option. Turned out great. My only other complaint is the silverware holder, agree with everyone else, what kind of flatware did they use to make the slots for this thing, baby spoons? Those two things aside, what truly makes this machine a wonderful, how much do I love you dishwasher? IT’S SO QUIET I CAN WATCH TV IN THE SAME AREA AND MY HUSBAND DOESN’T HEAR IT AT ALL So far, would definitely buy again, especially when Best Buy had the best price around.

I have had this dishwasher for a little over a month now. I am still amazed at how quiet it is. It gets the dishes clean and looks amazing in the kitchen. The third rack is perfect for large knives and cooking utensils. I found it at Best Buy on sale and got a great deal on it.

The install was straight forward. This was a replacement. My wife does not like the narrow silverware basket but you can move it around to three different locations or put it in the sink while doing dishes. You can also put it near to drawer to unload. Extra space can be used on the third (top) drawer. So far, it clean very well. The settings we normally use are very simple. Sometimes the extra heat but there is leftover droplets. We do not use any additional additives beyond basic dishwasher soap. The one thing I really do not like are the plastic end caps on the glass drawer. If you need to remove the drawer, the end caps must be removed--do so carefully. Putting them back on is a trick. Make sure they snap back and test your work before you load the drawer. They aren't bad because they are plastic, it is the snap procedure that seems unnecessarily complicated and may fail at some point.

There are many dishwashers out there, but not all of them have these features for this price. The top rack for miscellaneous stuff is amazing, and was a definite selling point. The dishes get clean AND dry and it's so quiet I can barely hear it if I'm next to it and the whole house is silent.

Nice replacement for us - runs extremely quietly and does a great job of cleaning the dishes. Nice top flatware rack for convenient placement of larger utensils. Multiple settings (as most have) for the type of wash you want (Quick, Soak, Normal, Sensor, etc.)
