It is only a few months old has been cleaned often, the trap/drain. It still smells awful. Also, non of the settings actually dry the dishes and if you use heat dry to smell is even worse. I wouldn't buy this dishwasher again simply for that reason. The space in it is very nice and the controls are easy to use.
