Don’t buy this refrigerator!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this Whirlpool fridge for about 1.5 years (purchased in April 2020) and now it’s not working. The fridge sounds like it’s on, the lights go on, and the freezer works but the refrigerator side has stopped working. I’ve put it at the highest cold setting for the refrigerator and my food in the fridge is still luke warm - cheese melted, the jello is liquid, nothing is cold. The Whirlpool warranty lasts 1 year so I’m out of luck. If you want something reliable then stay away from this brand!! Super inconvenient right before the holidays.

Nice, Freezer is small

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although it is a really nice looking unit, we've had issues with the freezer building up frost and causing the fridge to get warm and food to spoil. Contacted Whirlpool since the unit was purchased less than a year ago. The service representative was nice but the wait time was unacceptable. This experience has been a true test of patience. Wish I was one to give a higher review, but this just plain sucks!

Disappointed

It worked fine for about 5 months before the freezer started failing. It will not keep items frozen. Such a waste of money. Best Buy says Whirlpool is responsible - I cannot get thru to Whirlpool customer service - no one ever answers, just a continuous hold.

Whirlpool Disappoints.

After three years, the freon leaked, requiring an $800 repair. We are quite disappointed, as we expected a Whirlpool appliance to last ten years. This was an unfortunate purchase.

Horrible front surface

No wheel lock to keep it from moving
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased this refrigerator and discovered it has no wheel locks to keep it from moving. You can adjust the rollers up or down to level it, but you can't lock them. If you have it on a smooth surface it will move forward every time you open the doors. Whirlpools answer when I called their customer service was to take a piece of wood and wedge it into the roller. Good Grief!! Seriously. I'm not happy to pay $1,000 for an appliance and then asked to "jimmy rig it" so that it works correctly.

rating for reviews, not the frig

I would just add the internal Ice maker. Or use a cube tray. After reading ALL the reviews I find it very strange. They are almost counter productive and the five star rating are a mixture of four star and repeats which pumps that rating up. I have notice this with all best Buy reviews. So basically they are useless.

Lost over $500 worth of food

Went to Costco and bought all our Christmas food (Christmas Eve for 50 people and Christmas Day for 15 people). Went to inventory freezer contents on 12/19/19 and found freezer not working. Everything had to be tossed! Had to repurchase everything! No reimbursement for lost food items.

Don’t buy this.

Called for repair and expected the serviceman to come on the appointment. They have put us off FOUR times now. I wouldn’t recommend buying this fridge. Ready to now just return it.
