Great fridge, but after a couple years the light switch that the door hits magically broke off and I dinged it a star b/c I regret not getting the upper model with the middle deli drawer so you don't have to open the main doors to get some things and let out all the cold air.

Good refrigerator - bad ice maker - buy extended warranty

I've only had this for 2 days. The humming/buzzing noise is a little loud, but the worst is the honking/drilling noise that happens every few hours and lasts about 5 seconds. Very annonying. Can startled you because it is unexpected. For this reason, I will be returning this refrigerator.

This is a very good fridge with a price that's hard to beat considering all of the features it comes with. I just wish the ice maker was on the door because it does take up a lot of space

I have had this fridge for 11 months now and I can finally write a detailed review. I really regret buying this fridge. Although it has good space and looks very nice, I have had several problems with mine and its very frustrating. 1- The ice dispenser is horrible. Even when set on cubed ice, it comes out crushed for a few seconds before full cubes start to come out. And, the full size cubes are relatively small. 2- The recommended temperature for the fridge is 36 or 37 degrees. I have mine set to 38 and items on the left side and items in the drawer continue to freeze. 3- When closing the doors, the left door can easily stay open even though it appears shut. You really have to physically make sure the doors are closed each time. 4- The whole bottom of the freezer gets huge chunks of ice formed all over the bottom of the drawer. So, every few days when I open and close the freezer drawer, huge chunks of ice break off and fall all over my kitchen floor. I literally have to go underneath the freezer drawer and manually scrape off huge chunks of ice to prevent it from icing up completely. I had a service tech come out to my house. As soon as he saw my fridge, he told me that this fridge has several problems and he had actually just came from another job where the other customer had the same fridge with same problems. Im not sure if all these will be able to be fixed, but he ordered me a new ice tray with dispenser, new thermostats for the top and bottom, and he switched around the gasket around the freezer drawer. I doubt all of this will be fixed perfectly but in my opinion there are way too many issues with this fridge.

Very nice refrigerator with plenty of room. Also very quiet

Actually had chosen and paid for another model fridge....then I changed my mind and decided on the fridge with the bottom freezer. We bought the fridge "out of box" . The price was abit cheaper and its still brand new. The only downside is no manual comes with it, but our questions have been answered just looking up our model on the internet! Also the delivery people were very professional and clean!!

We purchased this fridge after doing our homework on brands and features, for our kitchen configuration this was the best choice. We are extremely pleased with the roominess of the fridge as well as the freezer. Have had it less than a month but so far its good. A good purchase!

this fridge is very useful, just don't ovefill bc you will freeze the food

I am unable to reach anyone by phone, without a 45 minute wait. I’m not sure if I just have a lemon, but my refrigerator keeps having the same issue. The freezer appears to be working fine, but the refrigerator will only get down to 40°, and now can only get down to 50°. Since I first started it up, it has had this issue, and then occasionally it will get down to normal working temperature. I already had a technician out, and they replaced the damper. It seemed to work for a while, but it’s back to doing the same thing. I would like to know if there is a way to remove the vent that protects the damper. I would like to push on the damper to see if it is frozen. Are you able to remove this vent? In the meantime, I noticed that there was cold air coming out of the icemaker, so I have removed the icemaker, and it appears to let cold air get into the refrigerator and I am now down to 42° in the bottom of the refrigerator and about 50° up top. Needless to say, this is just a temporary measure, since I would like to operate my refrigerator with the icemaker intact. I’m surprised to be having so much difficulty with keeping my refrigerator contents from spoiling.

We’ve had this refrigerator for about 18 months and are dealing with multiple issues already. First is the ice maker-it doesn’t crush ice and gets jammed constantly. Second is the seal on the freezer. You need to check every time you open it to ensure it seals properly. And last but not least- there is rust/peeling of the finish below the water dispenser. Yes, it looks BAD. We called Best Buy and they sent a tech out. He is replacing something with the ice maker, says there isn’t anything wrong with the seal in the freezer and that the rust is cosmetic. They are sending out someone else next week to take a look. I hope that between Best Buy and Whirlpool, someone will make this right. We’ve had multiple stainless steel refrigerators and NEVER had such issues

These people make absolutely amazing fridges wowow

I hate this frig, very noisy, not enough room. The refrigerator vibrates., even though the delivery man leveled it. There were no reviews to read before I purchased it. However, The ice cube maker does work well.

I have an older model of this refrigerator. I would not recommend it because of the location of the ice maker/ice container. It's in the top section and takes up a lot of space and makes the shelf under it practically useless. The ice container is also extremely hard to open. It came with the house so I'll use it until it dies or I can afford to replace it.

very happy this far with my new refrigerator. Not so happy with the set up. Was left out of balance and the door is not straight.

Everything I was looking for in a fridge and provides easy access

Had this fridge for only a month and had had problems since then. The refrigerator part freezes your food even when the coldness isn’t all the way up. Also, the water dispenser with the filters still make the water taste weird after a month of owning it. You’re better off getting an LG or Samsung because it’s cheaper and will be better than this junk of a refrigerator. Can’t even sit a gallon of milk of a 12 oz soda in there upright if you want to keep the one sliding shelf in there ! ***yes the filters are in correctly, the Best Buy employees put it in when installing.

We wanted a refrigerator without a water dispenser or electronics on the door. There are very few options, so we ended up with this model and we’ve regretted it ever since. Our chief complaint is that Whirlpool has terrible customer service and obviously looks for loopholes to get out of honoring their warranties. We’ve now had 2 issues with the refrigerator that they blamed on us. The doors are crooked and won’t close easily, so they claim the refrigerator isn’t level. (It is.) And the door seals are ripping to shreds, but Whirlpool says that’s just cosmetic and they won’t fix them. The seals that hold the cold in the refrigerator are just cosmetic?? Very, very frustrating and disappointing. This will be our last Whirlpool appliance.
