    After two years, the ice maker stopped working well, but it was just out of warranty. Then the LED lights started acting up…sometimes working, sometimes not. About the same time the freezer started being temperamental. We only keep things in there that are ok to defrost a bit from time to time…no raw meat, etc. Also a plastic drawer front has cracked and broken in the freezer. Just the ice maker repairs were going to cost $600 for parts and labor. Wish we would have purchased the extended warranty. It’s four years old and we need to replace it.

    Lemon refrigerator

    Ice maker never did operate very well..completely stopped producing ice less than two years after purchase. First the fan was replaced, didn’t work. Then the whole electric board was replaced, didn’t work. Then I was told it was probably the Freon leaking and that could be refilled but problem would continue at about $500. Per refill. Lights stopped working in top of unit about the same time. Could not be repaired according to serviceman.

    Great looking, don’t work

    The most expensive appliance I ever bought has malfunctioned 3 times in 15 months. 1st- wouldn’t cool/freeze for over 2 days after installed. 2nd-refrigerator froze after a few months. I am attributing that to the ice maker in refrigerator section(bad idea), when I turned off the ice maker it normalized. 3rd- 15 months old freezer coils froze and all sections thawed. I found out getting ice(melted and water came out). I unplugged 5 min and after plugging in, defrost cycle started. I had to empty freezer and pull off door and drawers and wipe all water and ice coating freezer compartment. The temps normalized that night. Checked service mode and FC thermistor reports good. I guess main board problem. IDK if it will auto defrost today or not. And don’t have tech sheet to manually start if it doesn’t. It is great if it works but why ice maker in fridge? I turn ice off when we leave town. I should have listened to non promotion reviews. I’m sure the reply will be I’m sorry to hear… (but we got your $ now SUCKER) contact us…(I did and couldn’t even get a tech sheet that was missing)

    Freon leak and Whirlpool offered parts

    I purchased this frig 2.5 years ago. It stopped cooling. I called Whirlpool. They sent out their repairman to confirm what my repairman said - Freon leak. After speaking to the Whirlpool tech over the phone, it was confirmed that there is a leak in the Freon - somewhere. Whirlpool offered to replace the Evaporator and recharge the system but I would have to pay for the labor. I told Whirlpool that there is no proof that the Evaporator is leaking and there is no proof where the leak is. I asked what if they are guessing wrong and I was told that I would have to pay for the labor to repair it again. This is not a failed part but an error in their system that should have been tested and never should have been sold.

    I love the design, but this is the worst appliance with regards to the reliability. 1 year warranty, Ice maker died during this time and Whirlpool replaced. I wish I purchased an extended warranty. I ended up replacing the icemaker again, and now the seal cooling system on the fritz. Repair estimate is $2,200 for entire cooling system to be replaced as the tech says they are just guessing where the leak is if they don't replace the entire system. I want to buy the same fridge because of the design, but I'm not going to shell out $3,300 twice for such an unreliable product. I've tried contacting Whirlpool through facebook, but so far no reply!!

    This refrigerator kept freezing over inside the back area causing it from keeping cool. The lighting kept messing up. I had at least 9 service calls on it since we've owned it. I wouldn't recommend this product. One of your technicians said it wasn't made right. He said they use the wrong type of materials on the inside backside.

    Great Features, Poor Quality

    We have had the previous model for 3 years and have nothing but trouble, between lights not working, compressor replaced and a rubbing between the coils and drip pan that you can hear though the house. Service tech has been here 7 times to fix issues. Interior light out and coil noise(sounds like a fan hitting as it spins) is next on the list to get fixed. Have dishwasher and microwave both are great. Very disappointing in a local brand made 60 miles away. Not sure of next steps, continue to pay for extended warranty or replace. If you purchase, extended warranty is a must.

    The perfect Fridge!

    Our new Whirlpool 26.2 Cu. Ft 4-Door French Door refrigerator exceeds our expectations. It is so spacious and we are still finding new storages spaces in it. The LED lighting all around gives a bright, classy feel. Love the removable ice bin in the door. It met all of our "must haves" in a fridge. The finish is gorgeous with fingerprint resistant stainless steel. Really like the freezer on the bottom, and the extra drawer for often used item makes it most efficient. Happy in every way!

    Nothing but problems

    Icemaker broke within the first year and needed to be replaced. Then water starting leaking into the freezer compartment. Second drawer won't open all the way because the cable for the temperature control got caught up inside. I would give zero stars if I could.

    Way too many product failures

    I purchased this frig at R. C. Willey on 9/20. Cost $3300. The handle loosened while it was under warrantee. Whirpool replaced it. In March, 2022 a circuit board went out. The USA was short of chips so I had to rebuild this circuit board cost $600. The circuit board went out again 6/23. New one cost $490. Now 3/25 it's not working again. I have a lemon. Next product failure will be the last.

    I love everything about this refrigerator except that at 16months it slowly stopped cooling. We had the geeksquad 3 year plan so they came out and fixed it. Well then 16 months later it happened again, no longer under warranty. Whirlpool agreed to pay for the part and we had to pay for labor, so we did it and it cost us $450 in labor. Then 4 months later it did it again. Whirlpool refuses to give us a new unit, when there is an obvious problem with our unit. We won't be purchasing another Whirlpool.

    Whirlpool Shame on You

    Bought this refrigerator 3 year's ago. For the price it should last more than 3 years. Started making noise 2 days ago called the repair man, the cooling coils are frozen solid. the drip tray for moisture release is warped and everything froze up. Very, Very disappointed in this product. Would not recommend this product to anyone.

    Don’t buy this brand

    We only had this fridge for a couple of months and it isn’t working. It only produced a dozen ice cubes in the beginning. Now it’s not producing any. The fridge isn’t cold anymore and the ice cream in the freezer is like soft serve. We called A&E to fix it and they didn’t show up. I took off work and called them several times with no response.

    Worst refrigerator I ever owned

    Only lasted four years with a complete compressor failure. Having to trash it after whirlpool would not make good. $3K down the drain. Even had to order and wait because we wanted the black finish.

    The refrigerator died after 90 days. Apparently it was leaking coolant. It could not be returned since it was past 90 days. The repairman said it would take two months to get the part and see if it fixes the issue. Whirlpool does not appear to be interested in supporting this product. See whirlpool website for multiple, apparently unresolved, complaints.
