Ice maker went out in 3 months and now it’s back ordered. But everything else works great

This was a great purchase! I love my french door fridge. It's very spacious & it's keeps my food cold. I especially love the amount of space in the freezer. The ice maker is a plus too. I would highly recommend this refrigerator.

Looks nice, but I need a few years before I should review it. As long as nothing breaks down in the first 3 years. I was looking for a Maytag but I couldn’t find one, then I found out that they made Whirlpool.

The Replace is wonderful and very quit. I really missed my chest freezer, so much more organized and roomy.

Twenty-two hundred dollars is a lot of money to me. I purchased this unit in 05/23 and as of 05/25, this unit no longer works. I had a repair person come out to look at it and he said there was a coolant leak in the compressor. I called Whirlpool service and, after 20 minutes on hold, a recording came on, exactly at 3PM, to tell me that they have closed for the day. I suspect someone put me on hold until the clock ran out. I normally wouldn't suspect something like this, but with the quality of the product they sold me, I wouldn't put anything past this company. Of course, today is Friday, so I doubt their service center will be open tomorrow. It will be two days before I can even speak to someone about service. How long will it take after that to get the unit repaired? How long would you like to go without a refrigerator? If you take my $2K+ and divide it by the total of months the unit worked, then I paid $94.34 a month to keep my food cold, for two years, and now I will have to spend thousands more to buy another unit. I've been a huge fan of Whirlpool appliances for the past 30 years. After our Whirlpool dishwasher died at the age of 4 years and then this refrigerator after only -- ONLY -- 2, I am sorry to say I will never buy another Whirlpool product. Buyer beware.
