The size of this refrigerator is great. It is also very nice looking in our kitchen. It does make a humming noise that you can hear. Otherwise I am very pleased.

I have been a fan of Whirlpool for many years and this refrigerator is no exception. It is beautifully designed, very roomy and the ice maker in the door leaves much more freezer space, with the ice bin easy to remove. Both sides are well-lighted and the filter is easy to change. Lots of shelves and drawers in both refrigerator and freezer. Excellent design. Thank you!

Ascetically pleasing design, glass shelves and storage bins lots of room. Consistent temperature throughout the refrigerator which is great. Freezer just as roomy and ice maker is on the door. Very happy with this purchase.

Great refrigerator overall. Plenty of space, stays cool. easy to clean. I wish it made more ice is my only complaint.

Have it for 9+ months so here is my two cents review! When the compressor kicked on and nearby, noisy, internal random weird noises, internal noise from water pipe or water flow, this noise that noises, loud, noticeably, sometimes low, etc ... noise go away after minutes then return later on when compressor, water pipe, etc ... on. Noisy, if stand nearby fridge for lengthy period of time could get irritating. After 7 months ran fridge side default temperature setting 37° saw. Upper fridge temperature at much lower, like frozen ... left a pack of chicken breast noticed was frozen next day. Green leaf veggies and fruits were on upper fridge ruin, The workaround, raised fridge by two degrees for two days then lower it by one degree. Fridge side set at 38° rather default 37°. Freezer side very lower drawer cannot remove because left door open not wide enough. Have not try, my guess must remove door left so could remove very lower draw for e.g cleaning. What kind of design is this? Everything is working, no leak, ice maker works, etc ... so knock on wood. Will it last for 2 to 5+ years or more? Quality out the door, the future business prospect end, near?

In the first few months after we purchased this fridge, we were in love. The look of the fridge, the extra space, the water bottle filling feature - they were great! But our fridge always seemed to run too cold. In fact, a can of soda exploded in the first few weeks. Items on the top shelf were continually freezing. So we had a repairman come out. He was at our house no less than 4 times - it may have been more. All of the major parts of the fridge were replaced. Under warranty, of course, because the fridge was not even a year old. But the fridge continued to freeze the items on the top shelf. On the repairman's last visit to our house, his recommendation was that we turn the temperature up. And continue to turn the temperature up until it stopped freezing. "The recommended temps are just suggestions." Really? This doesn't sound like an appropriate solution to me. It sounds like this fridge does a lousy job of keeping the correct temperature. At this point, we had zero help from the repair company or Best Buy. Shortly thereafter, when our fridge was about a year old, our ice maker stopped working. The motor does not seem to work and all of the ice in the bin freezes together. After our experiences with previous repairs (I'm pretty sure the repairman googled "icicles in fridge"), I have given up on repairing this fridge. We now have a beautiful and roomy fridge, but utilize plastic ice trays instead of an ice maker. And consistently have frozen drinks on the top shelf, even after turning the temperature up (within reason). You hope that when purchasing big appliances for $1,500+, you'll be able to keep them for years. This fridge was a complete disappointment. Don't be fooled by her beauty - stay away from this refrigerator!!

I’m very happy with my refrigerator however it’s just too big for just 2 people. I’ve seen reviews about it being loud I don’t think it’s loud I can barely hear it. It is big for sure. Lots of space for lots of stuff.

Since it was a recent purchase, as of todate there has been no problem with the refrigerator. However, the Geek Squad who installed it did a poor job. (ie: the doors were uneven. they did not stabelize it,the rollers were not pulled up , therefore it rolled across the room, and the hookup was done very sloppy) I had to pay a person to correct the errors the Geek Squad made an as I said previously the refrigerator is working fine, and the adjustments which were made by the person I payed has stabalized the refrigerator. qSq u

Considering the supply chain backlog due to the CoVid crisis we felt fortunate that we were able to purchase a refrigerator and have it delivered in just a few days -- so that was a huge plus. Our LG that was only 7 years old stopped making ice and keeping a consistent internal temperature. It has already had the compressor replaced and a new ice machine a couple of years ago. Our appliance service person said he did not recommend fixing it and he also did not recommend getting another French door refrigerator or an LG. Based on his recommendations and online reviews we went with the Whirlpool side by side. Pros: The black steel is a nice finish, it is quiet except when the ice maker drops a new batch of ice. The ice maker is very good and fast. The freezer is easy to organize. The Cons (so far): So much less space than a French door model, very small shelves and doubtful that the Thanksgiving turkey will fit. The deli drawer holds about 1/2 what our old model could handle and the veggie drawers are also 1/2 the size. The one door does hold several bottles and can accommodate large bottles but there isn't a butter keeper. I will admit that it is making more aware of what is in the fridge-- except for a few veggies that keep getting buried. I'm just hopeful that this model last more than 7 years. I would recommend this model to a friend but include the things I see as drawbacks. P.S. we did purchase a refrigerator power strip in the hopes that if a power surge was why our last fridge died that maybe this one will last longer.

Have only recently had this installed, so if this changes, I'll update my review. But this replaces a truly piece of junk 4 year old Samsung french door fridge. Trust me, I did my research before buying this one. Love the look and really think I'm going to appreciate going back to a side-by-side again. The french door is OK for having more eye level fridge space, but the freezer is a black hole. Found stuff in the bottom of that freezer that was buried for years and would have been for years more, I'm sure, if not for the replacement. Having a stand up freezer is so much better for organization and being able to see what you have. Also, not giving up a whole top corner of the fridge space for an ice maker is great. So much more room! The ice maker was slow at first, but seems to be really getting better and better with more time and use. LOVE the separate ice and water paddles; and the metered fill is a really cool function. Put your glass in, hit the button and walk away while it fills (as long as you know the capacity). It is pretty quiet overall. The ice maker is a little noisy, but that is for such a short period of time it is of little / no consequence. Really happy so far and happy to be done with my old fridge.

We bought this model because it fit the space perfectly. It does have a lot of room inside both the freezer and fridge, but it has two problems: The water dispenser has to be re-calibrated every 1 to 2 weeks because it won't "hold" the calibration. It is a nice feature for making my morning coffee, but the re-calibration is a pain. The other problem is that the water is not cold from the dispenser until you have taken at least 5 ounces from it. I have no idea why it takes so long to get cold water through the door.

Fridge, freezer are overall great and still run well after two years, but the ice maker has one fatal design flaw. Whirlpool routes the wires for the ice maker, led screen, and water dispenser under the freezer door hinge, and every time you open the freezer door, it pulls on and stresses those wires just a little bit. Thus after ~2 years, three of the wires, especially the tiny white one, snapped, and the ice machine stopped working. We spliced them back together easily enough, even adding a bit of length with new wire, but...the door opening still stresses them, and they broke again. And again. Major design flaw. Great amount of storage in the fride and freezer, but it is easy to overfill the freezer and cause cooling issues. As long as you keep the sides clear, the fridge works great.

I liked my previous refrigerator a lot (also a Whirlpool which I bought after a couple of disastrous previous purchases of other brands), but this one is even better. It is spacious, quiet and looks good in the kitchen. It cooled rapidly after installation and maintains temperature perfectly. I have stainless steel appliances and find cleaning smudges off them to be a nuisance, but the finish on this refrigerator is extremely easy to maintain as it seems to repel smudges. I can easily clean off the occasional smudge by just wiping it with a dry microfiber cloth.

The main compartment of This refrigerator has a ton of useable space. The freezer has the ice maker on the door which gives extra space in the freezer to store a lot. The refrigerator runs a bit louder than I thought it would. My family noticed this right away. The refrigerator does not come with a butter compartment or egg tray which is a disappointment. Overall, I think this refrigerator is a great purchase.

This refrigerator is GREAT! We’ve had it for about a month and we liked the size and the way it’s organized inside for much better use of the space. If I had to make a negative comment it would only be that the ice maker is very loud but with all the positives it has that’s part is extremely minor. We would defiantly recommend this refrigerator.

my new Whirlpool refrigerator has plenty of room - it's same height and width as the last one, but it's a foot deeper. There's a big difference between 28.4 Cu and 20.4! The shelves on the doors hold more too. I really like the updated black stainless steel color too. This is my third variation of the same fridge/freezer. I like the side by side instead of clunky freezer drawer on bottom. I'm debating if I need the butter/egg holder for the door - I don't miss it.

We recently lost both of our previous refrigerators to age. We decided to try and survive with only 1 for our family of 10. The space inside of this unit is ample. I wish the shelves could be placed on different levels, and the ice maker can't keep up with our super-sized family, but other than that it's a very nice Refrigerator/Freezer.

For some reason I think is a little noisy to be a new product. Other than that I like the room it has.

I really like this fridge. Huge space, well organized shelves, attractive design. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars are the water and ice dispensers. They are both really hard to push. I have to almost lean into them to get either water or ice to come out. It’s even harder for my wife. I’ve never had a fridge where getting ice or water is this difficult.
