Beautiful fridge, sadly overlooked energy efficient, larger than expected, currently experiencing frost build up along the top of freezer and condinsation on the seal, frost in ice maker, and top left of fridge. Doesn't come with filter or dairy door. magnets stick to front.

I’m having the 4th one delivered today. Insulation coming out of corners of the door. I love the fridge but want it to look good.

We purchased on 5/1/2021. The unit is in our kitchen and never exposed to chemicals that could damage the metal. We live nowhere near the coast. Within a year the unit is pitted with rust marks on the front exterior stainless steel doors. Other than poor quality exterior the unit is functioning well. I do recommend looking at better quality products.

We purchased this unit after careful consideration of features vs. cost. Best Buy delivery was on time and went smoothly. We did not purchase installation (one water line and plug it in - not that hard to do...) so it was left in a position that I can do that. After that done, while pushing it back to its final place I heard scraping noise, and it would not move any more. As it turn out, during assembly, the waterline coupler got caught in between a bracket and the bottom of the fridge, causing the bracket to bend down and be below the roller line. After many curse words I was able to free it and reposition it properly. (Really Whirlpool? needing a 1/4" wrench for height adjustment on a several hundred lb item? - Really difficult...) Ended up having 'nice' marks on the hardwood floor.

Purchased a year ago. Freezer side started to over freeze and ice dispenser tray would freeze around the tray, preventing you from putting it back in. Whole family used daily. Most recently over froze the entire ice chamber once I defrosted it and started to create more ice, future ice cycles would dispense a water stream, without pushing on the paddle. Very common in the reviews and we took a bad gamble. One of two fridges that fit the opening in our kitchen. Ironically, a friends same model dispenser broke one week earlier. Chose poorly. :(

Originally wanted a Samsung but found this Whirlpool model and so far til today, I am very happy with this purchase. It has all the features that I wanted in a fridge.

I bought the refrigerator just 6 months ago and it already has a crack inside and some bullets came out that were reliable to the company and they just wanted to put resistol on it and no. They gave me a solution, I went back to best buy and they didn't solve anything for me, it wasn't worth spending so much money in garanty and the refrigerator

This appliance has some pros and cons... I will list them here for you. Pros: 1. Huge interior 2. Door mounted ice makers leaves a lot of space in the freezer 3. Water/ice dispenser pretty useful Cons: 1. Inconsistent temps. Both sides are too cold... The cooler side freezes my veggies and ices up on the air vent 2. Poor lighting. The light in the rear does not help when the top shelf is full. The rest of the inside is pretty dark 3. Noisy when the ice maker is filling the tray with water 4. It only makes 10 cubes at a time and takes one hour to make one tray of ice. 5. Ice capacity is pretty small 6. Shelves are pretty flimsy 7. Freezer side has enclosed drawers which inhibits freezing and air circulation 8. What! No butter cubby in the door? It's a $50 option? 9. Cold water dispenser keep water at only 50 degrees which is pretty warm 10. Doors misaligned with insulation seeping on the crevices To fix the inconsistent temps, i had to call service. They had to seal the crevices between the inside plastic insulation and the outer cabinet. Right now it seems to work but we shall see how long that will last... For the price, it seems to be a decent but not good value,

We like the unit overall. Lots of room inside. Well lit. Great looking face. The ice machine does not make full cubes like our previous unit. That are more like half cube chunks. The ice dispenser is very loud. The side of the unit is not stainless or black, it's an ugly shade of grey. Just little things, but worth noting.

We have only had this new side by side for a month, but what a difference from our old one! This new interior lay out is Huge! Plenty of room for big items in the door, lots of room for fruit/veggies in plastic containers or left overs. Los of light to see inside. Drawers are very big and slide out easily and easy to see inside. Set your temp and the food stays cold from top to bottom and so far no freezing or icing on food next to the freezer side. Easy to replace the water filter when needed but the air filter is in awkward place so seeing when to replace is mot easy. The Freezer side is very spacious with the ice maker in the door! Pizza boxes no problem, probably the largest capacity of freezer space for a side by side available today. Ice maker seems small but so far our family of 5 has not run out of ice and it also has a quick ice function to make faster ice! Plenty of light to see what you have stored. Yes you can hear when the ice function turns on for a few seconds but it is not loud. The exterior water tray is not deep so keep and eye on how much excess water splash you might encounter with small glasses. Main reported con is the wiring on the freezer door located on the lower left side under the trim. But I plan on keeping an eye on it every 3-4 months to make sure there is no shredding of the wires and will call for warranty service when I first see any to prevent known ice maker problems! Like I said we have only had it a month but we are very impressed and satisfied and yes we would recommend it because of it is so spacious inside.

1. Cold water dispenser is intermittently cold and 2. makes Loud bang when water stops and 3. the ounce counter on the display works intermittently  4. Right Door (refrigerator side) alignment looks like its open on the bottom. 5. Hard boiled eggs & beans froze in the refrigerator. Increased temperature and moved the eggs & beans to a different spot and were still frozen the next day. 6. Ice dispenser door inside freezer doesn't close on the right side unless you push it real hard.

We have had this for three years, almost to the date. We bought it in the middle of July 2021. it is now August 2024. This refrigerator is amazing. We love it for the most part. It is spacious, and we so appreciate that the ice machine is in the door. I hate the wasted freezer space when ice parts are stored in there! We absolutely love, love love, love, the automatic dispensing of the water! We do have to recalibrate it pretty frequently but it’s not a dealbreaker at all. We did just have to call service because the icemaker stopped working. The technician just came out and found that, like many of the reviews have said, the wires at the bottom of the freezer door have severed. We knew that this was some thing that was in the reviews when we purchased the refrigerator, so because of that we bought the extended warranty. Thankfully, we did because it is covered. If we hadn’t, the repair for it is to replace the door and the door is $1000. So I would recommend this refrigerator as long as you buy the warranty! I will also be extending the warranty every time it comes up for expiration.

Looks good, but there isn’t much else going for it. For starters, it’s noisy (the repairman they sent said thats normal because of the variable speed compressor, but I can hear it when it comes on from my living room (wall in between) and even in my bedroom with the door closed… Secondly, the water comes out at 55 degrees minimum…according to the repairman they sent, thats a design flaw..he said the water line comes in, goes to the filter, through the tubing in the fridge to cool down and then back out of the cooled area before getting to the dispenser. Additionally, the ice/water paddles are hard to push and I feel like they might break, thank goodness there is an auto-fill feature in the water, too bad you have to reset the number of ounces each time if it isn’t just 8 (our cups hold 32+ oz so it’s kind of annoying to be pushing buttons constantly) Oh, and it arrived with the doors misaligned… not sure what they did from the time I saw it and they took it to the back room and when they delivered it, bit they dented the door and misaligned them. The repair guy got the doors mostly aligned and bestbuy gave me a $200 gift card for the dent in the door, bit still. Between this new fridge and the new washing machine, both having issues, I’m becoming very disenfranchised wby th the brand.

There is so much to like about this 28 cubic foot side-by-side! I seriously considered a French door, but practicality won out -- the side-by-side has 4 more cubic feet of freezer space! Placing the icemaker unit in the door makes it easy to remove for filling coolers, and gives a full extra shelf of freezer space. The freezer's two clear drawers are very handy and can be put where you want them. The refrigerator door shelves are generous for gallon jugs The exterior is sleek and no fingerprints! The ice and water dispenser is tall for my favorite tumbler. The only improvement I would have liked would be more options for shelf placement, but it is adequate for my needs. I hope it lasts 20 years like my old Whirlpool!

While this big box can be a little noisy when the ice drops or at times sound like a space ship is inside, it does the job it was intended very well. Lots and lots and lots of room! Nice bright LED lights! Great ice cubes! Excellent tasting filtered water! Nice control panel that is easy to operate! The water calibration can change at times, but can be reset easily. In all, this Whirlpool has been well worth the money in comparison to other brands comparison in size. Our refrigerator, we bought on sale and it was about 50% the cost of other somewhat comparative refrigerators. In conclusion, I feel this is a product that will meet or exceed your expectations! By the way, we had a Whirlpool that was 20 years old in great running condition! We just wanted a little bigger unit and were elated to find this Whirlpool model.

I bought this fridge November 16, 2019@Best Buy @Bay area blvd. to this day 4/16/2020 my fridge is not FIXED they have come out @5 times and replaced 3 different parts one of those parts twice. When part was replaced there was a gap left between the part and the walls of fridge. Also the door no doesn't close on its own like when it was delivered. My $1500 refrigerator now looks like a junk yard fridge. It was delivered November 23, 2020. I called whirlpool for the first time on January 30,2020 they came out for the first time on February 7,2020 because the refrigerator was icing up and later started making a VERY Loud noise... It freezes on ad off .Food freezes and thaws out in fridge causing food to spoil. They only have ONE authorized repair company in the Houston area ASI Appliance which might I add has horrible customer service. I bought this fridge because its bigger than most fridges save yourself the headache DON'T GET A WHIRLPOOL OR AMANA Its the same thing. I'm stuck paying for a piece of crap refrigerator.

This replacement refrigerator has the same outside dimensions as our old Whirlpool refrigerator, but the internal volume is about 3cuft larger. The refrigerator looks great and so far is performing well. We miss the "butter tray" on the door which we used to use to hold a dozen eggs and are currently looking around to see if extra shelves can be ordered. But overall, we have "lots" of room making it much easier to store and find everything...I'm a guy and "hate" to shuffle stuff to get what I'm after. Not 5 stars because the refrigerator delivered may have a design issue. The doors are supposed to open a full 90 degrees. Ours can be opened 90 degrees but the refrigerator door meets resistance and must be held in place to allow full opening of the refrigerator drawers. The freezer side works fine and the trays can be extended fully without a problem. The refrigerator side drawers can be extended, but only when HOLDING the door open (forcing it past the "stop"). This may ultimately cause damage to the hinges. Best Buy is ordering us a replacement refrigerator and hopefully we won't have the same problem. We recommend the refrigerator with caution about the doors. We LOVE the volume!

This fridge is huge, I can hold so much stuff. It is a couple of inches deeper then a standard fridge so it sticks out from my cabinet by about 3" but it is so worth it. The big door bins can hold a lot of stuff since they are so wide. I wish it came with one more door bin as there is enough room for it. The shelving is not adjustable for height but the spacing is usable and ok with me. The water filter is super easy to replace and inside at the top so convenient to get to. On the freezer side since the ice maker is on the door there is a lot more room in the box part, very efficient use of space. The ice cubes are small square pyramid shapes, if you use the crushed ice option it comes out finely and evenly crushed. Seems well made and the finish is perfect. Looks like it costs much more then it does. good value. A couple of things they could improve would be the ice making speed, its really slow, in a day it only fills the bin halfway so if you're a heavy ice user this will not keep up with you. The door alignment is also off, my fridge side is about 1/16" higher then the freezer side, I adjusted it as low as it would go and this is the best I could get it, when it came it was about 3/16" higher. Also, I find it strange that it is not energy star so I could not get my state rebate for appliances, I though all new appliances would be energy star.
