The back upper shelves actually semi freezes my food and the lower door shelves are not as cold so I've had to just change where I put items based on how cold I want them kept. The water dispenser does not dispense very cold water. My other fridge dispensed much colder water. But I do like that you can just press a button and have your glass fill with a preset amount or water. Also the water dispenser works even when the door is opened. The freezer keeps everything nice and frozen. The fridge is very deep and spacious. I love it! I hope it lasts!

I’ve had this for a few months so far and it has word great. It’s quiet (has nice LED lights in both the freezer and refrigerator section) and plenty of storage space. I’ve never run out of storage space with this. It automatically tells you when you replace the water filters. Water filters are about $50 to $60 depending on where you get it and indicates needing to be replaced about every 6 months I think. Works great.

Would not recommend this refrigerator, nor would I recommend Best Buy for an appliance purchase. Based upon prior good experience with Whirlpool appliances, along with the mostly very good reviews of this particular model, I settled on this Whirlpool refrig after much research. First one delivered made constant whirring vibration sounds, with intermittent much louder vibration sounds (could hear throughout house). Called Best Buy, system said wait time to answer call was “less than 3 mins”. 20 mins later I’m connected. My research showed that leveling could have been issue, so I request they just look at it (and perhaps just fix the leveling) instead of replacing. BB guys show up and tell me leveling is ok, and that yes, the vibrating noise should not be occurring. Guy says it’s prob bad compressor and tells me to call and request a replacement,… which I did the next day. Once again, system which indicated a 3 min wait ended up taking more than 20 mins. Unpleasant and odd customer service person tells me I need to be transferred to “lemon” dept. then on hold 30 more mins! Finally get connected to someone who tells me to relax when I calmly tell him that someone needs to know that customers are being put on hold for so long. Was finally able to schedule a replacement appt. Now have replacement. Annoying vibration noise still present, but so far haven’t experienced the louder noise. Fingers crossed I guess, and I guess I’m resigned to just living now with a refrig which is obnoxiously loud when compressor is on. Delivery guys left some pretty visible scuff marks on our nice hardwood floors, along with a trail of debris and water from front door to kitchen. They had to take front door off hinges for needed clearance (which I appreciated), but left door off and entryway open for about 30 mins on a hot Tx summer day…. when only about 5 mins was necessary. The good and the bad with this model: Good: -it looks nice -very large capacity, both in freezer and refrig - price reasonable Bad: - as mentioned, the inexcusable vibration noise from motor. I cannot believe Whirlpool cannot design a quieter motor. Sitting now in my living room, and the typical quiet serenity has been replaced by a motor sound which may well drive me insane… or at least to drinking. - ice cubes too small, and ice maker doesn’t make nearly enough. We are constantly out. Will need to dig out the old ice trays I thought we’d never need again. - dispensed water not cold. - both ice and water dispensers require too much pressure to activate. - spent an hour trying to remove all the small pieces of protective plastic wrap from tiny crevices in which it was lodged. This simply could not have been the manufacturer’s intent. I would avoid this model, and I would purchase another model elsewhere. Suggestion for BB - fix your customer service phone system - it is terrible! Navigation is horrible; wait time estimates are wildly understated; wait times themselves are ridiculous; reps are unfriendly and often inept; customer and purchase info avail to reps on their system is lacking. The whole thing feels 50 years antiquated,

Size and color are great. The quality of build seems to be lacking. Freezer door offset from frame. Unable to adjust in the field. Ice maker extremely slow and leaking. They can do better with this one. Bad day on the assembly line?

I originally wanted a french door refrigerator but they were too expensive and this Whirlpool was actually decently priced and had more space than some other similar models. I purchased this in January 2019 and so far it is doing great. The icemaker design does save room in the freezer and as far as the noise that it makes is not loud but what you would expect from the water line feeding into the icemaker and then later when the ice falls into the bin. Only con is there is no where to store butter. For the money it is awesome!

Just got our new fridge delivered yesterday. Huge! Which I love! Side by side is GREAT! The lighting is bad. I get blinded from the top LED light when I open the door so I have to keep something tall in front of the light to block it. The fridge is essentially backlit so everything looks dark. Then there is the freezer... it’s really great! Love the drawers and ton of a space for everything! HOWEVER, the ice maker is LOUD! I can hear it throughout our entire house. Whether it is making ice or you are dispensing, It sounds like there should be a muffler but it fell off. Not at all happy about that. The water line has leaked already so not sure if that was the installer that didn’t attach correctly but we think we got it attached. Fingers crossed.

I do my homework before making such a large purchase and this was no exception. So lots of research, reading reviews, and hands on evaluation of refrigerators across multiple stores and brands. I'd previously owned a French door LG unit that cost $500 more than this Whirlpool, gave me lots of trouble over the years, and then finally died before I'd owned it 7 years. The LG was listed as having a lot more cubic feet of storage than this Whirlpool, but boy, you wouldn't know it. The problem with French door units - especially on the freezer bottom is that the items are much less accessible than a side by side unit with shelves - like this Whirlpool - which translates to better food use and less waste. This fridge excels in that area with great, deep shelf space and extra usable space in the freezer door too. The more divided and individual shelves or bins? The better. The extra large storage in the fridge section door is appreciated - especially for multiple gallons of milk or other large size bottles and containers. Plenty of space for warehouse size purchases from your club. I originally had purchased a Samsung fridge from Best Buy but after reading some last minute horror stories about the ice maker on that unit and as someone who consumes a ton of ice? Decided to go with this Whirlpool instead - which was a close second on my choice list. I'm so glad I did. (Best Buy was awesome about the before delivery purchase decision change too. No hassles.) The ice maker on this machine is a beast and holds a ton of ice. Not one jam and I've yet to run out of ice...ever! Something that certainly wasn't true on my old LG unit. Best Buy's financing options were the best offered anywhere too with the longest terms of anyone at 0% making it much more manageable to pay off such a large purchase.

After reading reviews of so many refrigerators, I ended up choosing the Whirlpool. We have only had it a couple weeks now but very pleased with it so far. Having the ice maker in door frees up a lot of space in the freezer. This is a very large refrigerator and best bang for the buck. I noticed reviews about how noisy it is. The ice maker is in the door so you do hear ice being dumped and water refilling ice tray but this is to be expected. I really don’t think the noise is a factor. We love the space and led lighting. Fingerprints don’t show up in the stainless doors like our previous refrigerator.

Refrigerator works great so far. Plenty of room. Like the ice maker in the feeezer door. Frees up more room. The only reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 is the freezer and refrigerator doors are not flush at the bottom. Not real noticable so we dexided to keep the refrigerator.

i picked the black stainless. it does'nt show fingerprints. went back to side by side after french door model and very happy i did. easier access to freezer food on shelves rather than dumping in a drawer. lots of room. no butter shelf. the shelves are not adjustable. the door shelves have plenty of room which balances it out. top left shelf of fridge can freeze items so i am adjusting freezer a bit warmer 2 degrees to help that. good size ice cubes and the ice maker is a bit loud when filling or dumping/not a problem, unlike my lg french door this ice machine is fantastic with supplying ice and does'nt get stuck. love this fridge overall and very happy to have it. do not miss LG at all. great best buy delivery and install with removal of old fridge.

Product came damaged, not sure if from best buy or the manufacturer. The seals to keep the fridge were damaged. All in all, love the fridge as we're waiting for the new one to be here. I read a lot of comment saying it was loud, the only time I would say it was "loud" was when the ice would form, otherwise I wouldn't complaint about the loudness. Love the exterior look, inside is spacious, other than recieving a damaged fridge it's been great.

Only had this unit for a month. Bought this to replace an expensive 2 year old LG (garbage). Thankfully the freezer keeps food frozen and the refrigerator keeps food cold. This unit was just a bit more than what the repair would have been. Anyhow, it is spacious, well designed. Ice maker working well. It does spatter a bit when dispensing ice but not terrible. Does make a high pitched noise (fan, compressor likely) but not a deal breaker for us. Would have liked dairy bin but will order. One more shelf in freezer would’ve been nice too. LOVE finger print resistant finish!

We really like our Whirlpool refrigerator. The sleek black stainless design is an eye catcher. The temps seem to hold true, it is well lit inside with plenty of room for both large and small containers. I do wish it had a special spot for butter and cheese. The door shelves hold a multitude of condiments, milk, wine, and dressings. The ice maker on the door works so well as compared to my last refrigerator, and the water dispenser is very convenient. Over all, it is a great refrigerator/freezer for a middle of the road price.

I really like this refrigerator. It does everything well, with ONE glaring (or "blaring") exception: the ice-maker sounds like it is drilling a tunnel in the English Channel. When you make ice, the decibel level approaches jet engines. Other than that, it is nice and big, maintains perfect temperature, and is beautiful. If you can stand the noise, or are old and deaf (I soon will be!), go for it!!!

We’ve owned our Whirlpool fridge for about a month now & am enjoying the ample fridge & freezer storage. The ice maker storage area is much smaller than we had before so we pack gallon sized ziploc bags in advance of any anticipated extra usage. The quantity is more than adequate for our family on a daily basis. The fridge stainless steel finish has added a bright new look to our kitchen area. We had read reports of a high pitch noise as the water filters & ice is dropping, this happens when we empty the ice compartment but only for a few moments. If you have a studio sized apartment it may be annoying but anyone buying a fridge this big is going to most likely have a larger separation from their sleeping area & their fridge.

Love the look and the amount of space inside. Has so much more usable space than my old fridge, even though they are technically the same size. It is extremely noisy, though. Some of it is because the icemaker and ice bin are in the door. You will definitely hear ice drop and water run more than you would if the icemaker was further inside. When the ice bin is empty, hearing the ice drop is loud enough to make me jump. There are other odd noises I hear now and again as well. None of them last long - maybe 15 seconds? But they are fairly frequent. One other oddity is that it is easy to get tiny amounts of frost inside the freezer. They usually disappear later, so it may have to do with whether or not the fan is blowing when the freezer door is opened? I'm not sure, but it's something I'm going to keep an eye on. Other than this, the fridge seems to work well. I haven't noticed cold or hot spots yet, but it's early days still. I would pay attention to the air flow markers when loading your fridge, though. It doesn't seem hard to keep them free, but you don't want to block air flow by accident. All in all, it's a better fridge than it is flawed, but you should make sure the flaws are something you can live with before purchase.

This is a great refrigerator. The interior space is perfect for all of the packaging from the grocery. Wonderful lighting. Good freezing and cooling. We have had this since the beginning of March. The ice maker does make more noise than our old one. But that is the only complaint. One note: We refused delivery on the first refrigerator because the seal around the doors was gapping about 1/8 of an inch. I imagine that would have created a cooling problem. There was no problem with getting another refrigerator delivered.

It’s only been a couple of days, but I love this refrigerator!! The ice is like pyramids and it has a fast ice option. There is a setting to fill up your water vs standing there waiting there. I used to have a fridge like this awhile back in a previous home so I was super excited to see it unboxed and realize it was like my old one I purchased so long ago, but upgraded! Kind of funny. Looking forward to being able to fit groceries into it. We bought a home with brand new appliances and it came with a “French door”. I like the side by side and that stupid freezer door was my enemy on so many levels it wasn’t funny. I couldn’t fit anything in there and I missed my in door water and ice maker. I love ice! Plus I don’t like stainless steel. Best Buy finally had this in stock and with delivery so I was able to snag it and get it delivered pretty quickly. We did purchase the warranty program and had them install it. We did have a glitch and had to cut the main water off, but they were okay with that and got us hooked up. We went back out to cut it back on without any issues. Whoever did the demo on this house set it up odd so it wasn’t anyone’s fault! They did a great job and just rolled with it. LOL I’m still just happy to have an in door ice maker and water dispenser. Oh and being able to fit groceries!!

This fridge is large. I mean voluminous. For the physical constraints of the space I had to work with, this fridge has the most interior usable space. I would have given it 5 stars, but the ice maker and water dispenser are a bit loud, but only when in use.
