I bought this fridge a year ago when I moved into my house because I had it in my previous house and I loved it. The space in both fridge and freezer is perfect, and I usually have a full freezer/fridge….and there always seem to be more space. However, months after we bought it, we found styrofoam in the ice after dispensing…big red flag..but thought it was a fluke! Happened again twice In 3 months…..but stopped afterwards…didn’t seem to be an issue that required repair esp during COVID…today, a year after buying it…our ice maker stopped making ice….I’ve had so many Whirlpool appliances…in the past 18 years, I’ve never had to replace a fridge because of malfunction, never had ice makers break down….ALAS, everything nowadays is made cheap….but certainly the fridge was not cheap. Whirlpool I am very disappointed..not sure how to proceed….fridge isn’t even in stock anymore…of course this happens right after my 1 year warranty expires…..

It does its job. However, it vibrates and the ice maker it’s very loud.

My 10 year old French door died, after much research I discovered that side by sides in general have longer life and less svc issues, wife wanted max capacity, this fridge is over 3 cf larger and you can see it.

It looks big but there’s not enough space on the inside. The drawers on the door break easily. Not worth the money at all. Our fridge has been down since last month. It took Geek Squad almost 3 weeks to have someone come out & take a look at it. Their excuse is that it’s Whirlpool’s fault and Whirlpool products always have many issues. The technician came out & supposedly fixed what was wrong but we noticed our fridge still isn’t getting cold. So now we’re waiting for another person to come out NEXT WEEK. I don’t understand why we’re paying for Geek Squad protection?
