This fridge has been way outperforming the GE fridges that we had to replace 3 times, including upgrading to the Cafe line. It makes ice like crazy and keeps everything nice and cool. Also, was a bit hesitant to get a side by side, but this thing has tons of room with no issues of access.

spacious and looks great! Having 3 teenage boys, the ice maker provides more than enough. It seems to be fingerprint resistant. There is more than enough space in both doors.

We previously owned a 25 cubic foot Kenmore Elite. The extra space is amazing! We love how the dispenser paddles are back lit and then an LED spotlight fills the space when you are dispensing ice or water. The drawers move very smoothly and the interior LED lighting is crisp and bright. The delivery guys were there on time as promissed and brought the fridge inside using these awesome straps instead of a dolly. They were finished in no time. They even placed our old fridge on the back patio for us for disposal. Great delivery experience!

I purchased this refrigerator, knowing that I am not a fan of side by side models because I needed to replace our refrigerator & the model that I would have preferred would not be available for two months. If you like a side by side design, then I think you would be pleased with this model. Things that I like include: The ice maker/water dispenser functions well. The cubes are of a good size and we have never run out. The water dispenser will display the ounces as it fills your glass. Not necessary, but kind of neat. The dark stainless steel is actually dark stainless steel & not a spray on finish which will peel. Customer service was excellent. We did have a problem with one of door shelves falling off twice. The second time, it cracked. It was replaced promptly & without problems. The refrigerator is magnetic, if you like to display children's artwork. Things I am not so happy with: Side by side format, which I think gives you less functional storage space. initial problem with falling shelf (which has not been an issue since receiving the replacement) We have had some problems with temperature controls. Despite having set the temperature several degrees above freezing, we have had our eggs freeze on more than one occasion. We are still working the kinks out on this, but have had the refrigerator for just a few weeks.

This replacement refrigerator has the same outside dimensions as our old Whirlpool refrigerator, but the internal volume is about 3cuft larger. The refrigerator looks great and so far is performing well. We miss the "butter tray" on the door which we used to use to hold a dozen eggs and are currently looking around to see if extra shelves can be ordered. But overall, we have "lots" of room making it much easier to store and find everything...I'm a guy and "hate" to shuffle stuff to get what I'm after. Not 5 stars because the refrigerator delivered may have a design issue. The doors are supposed to open a full 90 degrees. Ours can be opened 90 degrees but the refrigerator door meets resistance and must be held in place to allow full opening of the refrigerator drawers. The freezer side works fine and the trays can be extended fully without a problem. The refrigerator side drawers can be extended, but only when HOLDING the door open (forcing it past the "stop"). This may ultimately cause damage to the hinges. Best Buy is ordering us a replacement refrigerator and hopefully we won't have the same problem. We recommend the refrigerator with caution about the doors. We LOVE the volume!

Plenty of space on the inside. This is my second fridge. The ice cubes are small enough to fit in water bottles. Great value.

This refrigerator had top ratings for a side by side, including Good Housekeeping. The back of the refrigerator width measures at 35 1/2 inches, which is perfect for the 36 1/4 in. opening between the cabinets and wall. My old fridge was 35 7/8 in., was a tight fit and hard to move back and forth. This one moves with ease, as you do need to clean dust behind them periodically. The height fits perfectly below my upper cabinet, as it has a low hinge profile. Most other fridges have a higher and deeper hinge that would have made the fridge stick out too far. The fridge and freezer keep food much colder than the old fridge, even when it was new. The ice maker had a much faster output than the old one, and faster than some reviews on this and other sites. The only negative is that the ounce measuring feature does not match up with a measuring cup at all.

So far extremely satisfied. The water and ice is a bit loud, but at this stage in my life I was something that works and doesn’t put an ice maker in the refrigerator compartment. We have had a clunk in the left door that happens when we shut it so we will call Best Buy. Other than that it doesn what it’s supposed to very well with lots of space.

I love my new fridge it has lots of room and it works great. I don't have to worry about my kids leaving the door open because it has a automatic vacuum which makes sure the doors stay closed when you shut them. Ice maker which you can have cubes or crushed. Whoever buys this fridge will fall in love with it. Everything works perfectly, great product. Water line that I bought with it is awesome as well I recommend getting it. The ppl who installed was awesome they were caution bring it in nt to cause any damage. They get 10 stars in my book.

Love my refrigerator--plenty of space. Like the ice maker on the side door. Glad that I bought it.

I bought this refrigerator and had it for about a week. I was worried about the reviews saying it's very loud. Nope. It's very quiet. The ice maker makes noise when the ice drops, like all refrigerators. A few things I like about this frig are the selves. They ride on wall supports inside the frig and not the bracket type that hooks in the back. These selves are much more sturdy than the other type of selves you see in a lot of refrigerators. The water filter is in the frig above the upper shelf. Our old frig had the filter outside on the lower part of the frig making me get down on the floor to change it out. The door shelves can hold a gallon of milk, but we prefer to put the milk in the back of the frig to keep it colder. It took about 5 hours for the frig to get cold enough to put in our food. The first batch of ice was produce before that. The biggest complaint I have is not with the frig itself. It's with the delivery people. They pulled off the plastic covering and left a bunch of pieces attached. They never pulled off the tape and plastic coverings inside the frig. Not a big deal, but it would have been better for them to do it since I had to leave the doors open to do this. One other thing. The manual said the frig was suppose to have an air filter included. Nope. Didn't get one, so my guess is the delivery guys left with it. Oh well.

I had purchased a similar Whirlpool model a year ago and loved it so when we moved to our new home I knew I wanted the same refrigerator. Because Whirpool was coming out with the new models I had waited over a month for delivery and it was still backordered. The appliance manager in St Cloud,Mn Best Buy told me about the newer model which is a bit larger but basically the same refrigerator and was on sale for less than the older model so I had him switch the order to this one and I couldn't be happier. It is roomy, very adjustable for our personal needs and even has a smudge resistant stainless steel surface. I am very pleased with the refrigerator and appreciative of the manager who went above and beyond to see that I was taken are of.

Great amount of inner space. I use ice with every drink, and the ice maker never seems to empty. Constantly keeping up with my ice usage. Such an upgrade from my old fridge.

Really great fridge-quiet, well designed, plenty of room for a large pizza box(!!) We like full side by side fridge/freezer. Ice maker could be a wee bit faster but when we ice corn the drinks we use quite a bit of ice! The one star was lost because… no butter shelf. No shelf whatsoever in gop location of door! Check the pictures online, from manufacturer-we couldn’t believe it-it’s not even an option! Crazy. Obviously a design “miss”. C’mon, whirlpool-you are better than that.

so nice to receive this beautiful refrigerator for our renter home. Many people use it to store items for a full week with a number of families using it. We also appreciate the ice maker and water because our previous one broke down and the renters were not happy. We will look for other appliances to match as we go in the near future. Thanks Jimbo

We purchased this refrigerator about 4 years ago and after 2 years a technician had to come out to fix an issue with the ice maker due to wire fraying at bottom of freezer door. Soon after that, several of the plastic trays in the refrigerator had to be replaced due to cracks and breaks. Now, the ice maker is out again due to the wire fraying (service technician indicated this is a common problem with Whirlpool refrigerators). Also, one of the freezer bins is now broken. I called whirlpool to see if there’s a recall or some kind of replacement kit, but the customer service rep only offered a 20% discount. Replacing all of the cracked bins and repeatedly fixing frayed wire is expensive AND frustrating. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!. Don’t repeat our mistake.

Love the new fridge, especially the ice maker location and so munch shelf room. However, it is not even a month old and we already have a message to replace the water filter which is over $50 at Best Buy. I hope they surely last longer than that in the future or this fridge may be going too..

Looks good, but there isn’t much else going for it. For starters, it’s noisy (the repairman they sent said thats normal because of the variable speed compressor, but I can hear it when it comes on from my living room (wall in between) and even in my bedroom with the door closed… Secondly, the water comes out at 55 degrees minimum…according to the repairman they sent, thats a design flaw..he said the water line comes in, goes to the filter, through the tubing in the fridge to cool down and then back out of the cooled area before getting to the dispenser. Additionally, the ice/water paddles are hard to push and I feel like they might break, thank goodness there is an auto-fill feature in the water, too bad you have to reset the number of ounces each time if it isn’t just 8 (our cups hold 32+ oz so it’s kind of annoying to be pushing buttons constantly) Oh, and it arrived with the doors misaligned… not sure what they did from the time I saw it and they took it to the back room and when they delivered it, bit they dented the door and misaligned them. The repair guy got the doors mostly aligned and bestbuy gave me a $200 gift card for the dent in the door, bit still. Between this new fridge and the new washing machine, both having issues, I’m becoming very disenfranchised wby th the brand.

It is seemingly difficult to know what a good refridgerator is these days. I remember as a child we had this almond colored fridge that I literally grew up with. I think my parents finally retired it after like 20 plus years. We decided to ask the repairman after the second time our french door lg fridge compressor went out. What is a good brand. His answer was that they all have there problems. Whirlpool came most recommended as the repairs are usually not to serious and being made here in the u.s.a. the parts are easy to aquire. It isn't as fancy as my last fridge. But seriously the lg did not make it past 5 years. I am happy with the fridge. It does a great job of keeping things cold. Im running the temp at 36. The lg i had always had to turn down more to 33. When i set the whirlpool to 33 it actually was freezing things. Kudos there. The water and ice features are nice. It will measure the dispensed water which is handy. Easy to use. Awesome shelf system. Easy to change water filter. Really my only complaint isn't even a complaint. It's a bit smaller then the lg. But i knew that when i purchased it. 5 stars

This fridge was on backorder for a whole month! It was worth the wait though. It is spacious and there are plenty of shelves inside and on the door to hold all your goodies. The fridge stays very cold even if it is constantly opened and closed. The fridge motor does make some noise, but the duration of noise is very short. Perfect for all households. especially those who like to cook a lot at home.
