My previous glass stovetop did not properly fit the counter opening, and when I cleaned it, it wiggled around, finally developing some cracks. Not wanting to use a cracked electric stove, I carefully measured the counter space, and found this Whirlpool, which is exactly the right size! I am so happy that I purchased it! I works beautifully, and looks elegant in my kitchen.

Salesman was excellent. I created the first problem in not doing the measurement. I previously had a 30” cooktop that apparently was 30.2 “ and first one I ordered was 29.75” and was too small for the cutout. The Whirlpool which is over 30” fit perfectly. The second problem occurred after the installation and the Best Buy installer left and II couldn’t close the drawers below the cooktop. If he hadn’t left So quickly the problem could have been resolved. Apparently he put the connection cord over the slide surface for the drawer. They would not come back to fix it and I had someone else do for another $100. Third problem, Best Buy installer didn’t use the foam tape. Fourth problem. Best Buy installer didn’t use securing brackets. I would recommend buyers not to pay $130 to Best Buy for their installation.

Good cook top. This replaced an old Tappan. Heats up fast. The knobs could have brighter lines. That is a minor issue. Had to upgrade wiring. Overall, I am happy with it.

The cook-top arrived in good condition, installed with ease, and cooks like a charm BUT, the all black knobs have a poorly delineated groove indicating the position. It is all but impossible to see. The settings for the burners are border line invisible, (see the attached photo) I enhanced the knobs on mine by filling grooves with white correction fluid. (see attached photo)

I have been looking to upgrade my cooktop for some time now. I wanted to update the look in our kitchen to be a bit more modern. My wife wasn't interested in anything too fancy and she didn't want something that had touch controls because she thought that it would be too easy to accidentally turn on. This Whirlpool cooktop was exactly what we wanted and we took advantage of a great sale price. So far it is working exactly as expected and it looks great!

I love the new white cooktop that was purchased from Best Buy. This gives our kitchen a beautiful updated look. I love how quickly the unit heat and the food doesn’t burn.

Love the smooth looks of this cooktop in our kitchen. It takes a little getting use to after cooking on gas but once you get it down, it's a fairly good product.

The stovetop was too large for the opening so we had to cut a larger opening. The stovetop looks nice and works well.

Looks great and easy to install. Bought it as open box and it works perfectly.

Warms quick. Looks sleek. The locator on the knob needs to be a different color. It blends in so it’s hard to see where you are between low and high. Other than that great

The stove is OK, although I would have liked to have had the control knobs a contrasting color (didn't have time to wait for a different model! I needed a stove!). Also, I would have liked the dual control explained to me at the store or upon delivery. The stove operates fine. Cleaning the stove is high maintenance! What's the secret? I have yet to discover a product that will clean the stove top without smearing and taking way too long to attempt the cleaning process!

We compared various brands and models and kept coming back to this one. We purchased it online and picked it up at the closest Best Buy store with no issues at all. This model fits our needs because we didn’t want anything complicated or fancy just a simple model that would do the job and it does! This stove heats up super fast and looks great in our kitchen. It does take a little extra care tho in keeping it clean and streak free. But overall it’s great.

I love, love, love this cooktop!! Someone warned me about getting a white one, but we have one in our home and one in a vacation home and they are both wonderful. I am NOT a gourmet cook so I didn’t need or want gas in my kitchen. 99% of the time my cooktop is just part of our quartz counter, but when I need it, it works perfectly. It heats quickly and even though spills show on a white cooktop, they come right off. My first Whirlpool cooktop is nearly 8 years old and looks brand new because I keep it clean. The secret is to let the burner cool down, apply liquid BarKeepers Friend on the spill, let that sit for about 15 minutes, and then wipe it off. Works like a charm every time, and I love the clean white look! I highly recommend this cooktop!!

The cooktop is slightly larger than 30", which is what I needed to ensure the entire counter cutout was covered. It was easy to install. Whole removal of the old cooktop and installation of this one only took 20 minutes. The burners provide instant heat as soon as the burner is turned on. Easy to clean with the proper "Smooth cooktop cleaner". We use Kenmore Cooktop Cleaner for Smooth surfaces. Works great with this cooktop.

We replaced an 18 year-old electric cooktop with this Whirlpool model and it's been great so far. It was easy to install, but there's inaccurate information on the installation instructions about the amperage. The particular model we bought is compatible with 30A circuits; the instructions call for 40 or 50. We double-checked with the manufacturer and the printed instructions were incorrect. Another thing to note is that the line indicator on the control knobs are just a groove -- you need to be careful that it truly points to the off side if you want the cooktop off. It would've been helpful if Whirlpool added a color line or dot on the control knobs.

This cooktop is just what we needed. Simple to learn and clean. Great replacement for what we had. Now I have 4 burners.

Whirlpool - 30" Electric Cooktop - Black I like this cooktop, the price was good. I learned how to cook on it quickly, going from gas to this electric cooktop. I gave up on gas stoves, because I was sick of the smell, and the clean up was not always fun. I keep the cooktop very clean. I gave it only 4 stars, because it was supposed to come with a glaze to apply to the top of the cooktop to keep it protected and easier to clean, but it did not come with it as the booklet said that it did. Overall, I like the cooktop and would buy it again.
