Door replacement after 2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this fridge since space is limited in my kitchen. I bought it in May 2018 (2 years ago) and it already needs the entire right side door replaced due to a defect within the door panel that makes the door unable to close unless manually lift it up while shutting it. Apparently this is a known issue yet Whirlpool will not cover the cost of a brand new door which is $600 ($400 for the door, $240 for service call and labor. I would expect a $1,700 fridge to not need any major repairs for at least 5 years. Buyer beware!
