    Great Beginning Fridge

Awesome fridge for the minimal space we had (<33 inches). Collapsible mid shelf makes storage easier. The freezer has decent storage space. A larger fridge would have been better for a family of 3.

I love this refrigerator. It has plenty of room and the indoor storage is great. I appreciated the help from Bill at the store. The delivery guys were very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this fridge to anyone.

Little less shelf space than my previous appliance but overall a good product. Like the ice maker and multiple drawers in refrigerator. Like the stainless steel finish.

Everything was handled very well at the store. The delivery men argued with me that the new fridge would not come through my front door or fit in the space. The they sat down on the floor and rolled it across my hard wood floor. Then one them refused to hook up my water line and told me that a copper line was not the right item to use and I would need to call geek squad to have come and and hook up the water. I finally convinced home it was fine so he went out to his truck and got a pvc hose and hooked it up and told to water very carefully because that copper line would leak. They never explained anything about the fridge. They just left. I had to figure it out myself. He did not even show where the book was the the fridge. I like shopping at Best Buy but NOT THE DELIVERY SERVICE !!!!

    Big No. (long)

I bought this to replace a 25-year old Kenmore (Maytag) whose compressor finally bit the dust. I had to buy on short notice, and could not get the style I wanted (supply chain issues), so did some quick research and bought this. I've had it four months now. UPSHOT: Poorly designed; expected better for what I paid. PROS: ---------------- 1. The compressor works. It was available for purchase when my old fridge's compressor stopped working. I have no expectation that it will last as long as my old one did. 2. It's short enough to fit in my allotted space. 3. No big gripes with the the freezer. Ice tray configuration could be a little more efficient, but I'm okay with it as it stands. I don't use a lot of ice except in the summer, so I put other things in the ice bin. CONS: ---------------- 1. Fridge compartment is poorly designed: The fridge doesn't have any more total space than my old Kenmore, and it's not laid out very well. ------------------- 1a. The Door bins: Just ... no. The door bins that "Hold Gallon Containers!!" take that space from the inside of the fridge. How many gallon containers do I have? Two. And I end up putting them in the main compartment because it's really awkward to get them in and out of the door bins. Which means that I'm putting things into the door bins that would normally go onto the shelves. Which means every time I open a door, things rattle around in the bins and fall over. The door bins themselves: Even if I did use them for gallon containers, the fact that there's three bins on each side means that you can't easily maneuver anything taller than a can of soda. I have since removed one of the trays on one side to accommodate taller items that sit there. Finally, to hold those gallon containers, the door trays are deep, which means that you have to open the door all the way to be able to reach past them to get into the main shelves. Opening to 90 degrees is barely enough to reach an arm in, much less root around to get what you want. And the doors don't open much more than that (maybe out to 120 degrees). Which means that if I'm going into the main compartment, I end up opening both doors every time. 1b: The produce and meat/cheese drawers: Poorly designed, poorly implemented. The left produce drawer takes about 2/3 of the width of the compartment, the other the remaining third. Which means that every time I need to get into the wide one, I have to open both doors. Sort of defeats the purpose. I realize that one huge drawer would be a nightmare, but this isn't much better. I have no issues with the meat/cheese drawer (except for the overall comment, next). They're flimsy in construction and build. The drawers are thin plastic, the rails are the same thin plastic. The drawers fit loosely in the rails, which makes them harder to pull open or closed. Also this creates wear and potentially breakage. 1c: The shelves: Do you like juggling things every time you need something? Hope so. Two shelves with three sets of rails to put them on. Both shelves full width, so you options are limited. One shelf has a "cut out" that you can remove to put taller things on the shelf below. Looks great on paper. Problem is that the cutout must be at the front, so the taller things completely block whatever's behind them on both shelves. If you use both adjustable shelves, there is unfortunately no configuration that really works, at least not for me. If you put the second shelf on the middle rails, then you have three places to put things (the top of the crisper drawers, and the two shelves). There's really no room to put your hand in to drag things out from anywhere (unless you have a single layer of short items). I wound up ditching the second shelf entirely (the one with the cutout), and putting the remaining shelf on the high rails. I stack things in the lower area, and only put very short things in the upper area. This is the only way I've found to set things up so that you can pull things out from the back without playing the "car park" game. And while we're at it, there seems to be some sort of necessary ... protuberance ... right in the middle of the ceiling, right in front of the door. This basically takes out a quarter of the useful space of that top shelf - only small things can go under it, and then the things behind it are blocked. 2: The water dispenser: utterly useless. ------------------- 2a: The first 4-6 oz. comes out room temperature, so for someone like me who rarely wants more than that much at a time, this an utterly useless feature. I keep a water jug in a door bin. This is BY DESIGN. Straight from Whirlpool: "If water is not being used very often the first glass of water may not be as chilled. To avoid freezing in the waterline, many refrigerators run the dispensing water line from the cold water source through the outside of the product. Therefore, the water being dispensed may be warm at first, then get colder. If the second glass of water is cold, the unit is performing as designed." 2b: Unless you keep the water running through it a LOT, it comes out tasting like plastic. I've had mine for four months, and this is still the case. 3: Everything else: ------------------- All the controls on the front: The only one I use is the temp control, and that only the one time to get it right.

Really like this fridge. Small but lots of space. Only thing I would change is space shelving. Maybe have one shelf that splits so you can adjust half of it for a little more room for tall objects.

I wasn’t very optimistic when the refrigerator was first ordered February 2021 & finally received in May 2021, but since it was the only one we could find that would fit our space, I am quite satisfied. Has a lot of room. Still moving items around to get the most of it.

Our nine year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator died so we bought this one as replacement. It is very nice and works well. However, the water from the water dispenser is room temperature.

The unit is very nice and works well. I subtracted one star for the fact that I can not fit all of my larger items in as well as I did our old refrigerator. I push the one shelf back but still don't have the room I used to. This is more of a personal issue for me. Some people may not mind this. Otherwise the unit so far is great. We can not attest to it's durability as we only have it two months at this writing.
