After a friend had to replace a 3 yr old Samsung refrigerator because it needed a very simple repair, but the parts weren't available anymore, I did my research. I found out that this is a very common scenario today with many brands. I discovered that Whirlpool is one of the best companies for parts availability years later. There are others, but I didn't have $5000-$7000 to spend on a fridge. Whirlpool was the most affordable line with a good reputation for parts. The model below this one with no icemaker or drinks dispenser had a fake stainless steel front that people complained was terrible (shows every fingerprint, can't be cleaned and in some cases rusted). That one wasn't for me, but this model had great reviews from owners so I gave it a try. It has turned out to be a great refrigerator. The REAL stainless steel front is fantastic--it barely ever shows fingerprints, is a snap to clean when it does (just run a damp towel over it and it looks like new) and holds more inside than I ever expected. I love everything about it except that the shelves are not adjustable. That is the ONLY room for improvement (and the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5), everything else exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this refrigerator to anybody looking for a great product in this price range.

This 25 cu. ft. version is a very nice looking refrigerator but the fan in the freezer section is a little too loud to tolerate. I returned the item after a few days, and I purchased the 28 cu. ft. version, which protrudes only one extra into the kitchen and is considerably quieter. Also, the ice maker in the 25 cu ft version takes up way too much space in the freezer section. The 28 cu. ft. version has the ice maker in the door, and offers a ton more space in the freezer. The ice and water dispenser in the 25 cu. ft. version is a bit messy too. I could not figure out a way to keep the ice chips from ending up on the floor (no exaggeration). The 28 cu. ft version has an entirely different type of ice and water dispenser that works much better.

After a disappointing experience with another big box retailer, I made a quick decision on this Whirlpool without ever owning the brand or doing much research on it. Being eyeballs deep in a global pandemic meant I couldn’t shop around in stores so everything about this purchase felt blind- having said all that, it’s a great unit. A major upgrade from what we had, so maybe I’m naive, but so far no complaints. When I notice, it seems to run a little noisy, but I have a busy household with small children so it’s not often quiet enough for me to notice. Quieter households might be more bothered by it. The black stainless is beautiful and the interior organization (drawers, racks, door shelves, etc) keeps the fridge from looking messy.

Bought this item as part of a package for Kitchen appliances. The item was delivered and installed with no issues. The refrigerator has great space and is holding up to the Whirlpool reputation. It is working fine and getting the needed job done.

Great size and price for a side by side. Big ice maker with interior tray, not one is the wimpy door trays that holds little ice. However, when the house is quiet such as in morn, the constant humm can be annoying. I believe it is the fan that takes cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator. I chose to keep it, but for some, the humm might bother you. Again, great size and functions for the price, but does have a flaw like every piece of equipment has. Reading this, you now know what it is before you buy.

My wife really like it. I like it too. The only minor complaint I have is the ice maker. I cannot see the on and off switch for the ice maker without taking the ice tray out of the freezer. Why? Just make the window larger and this problem would not exist.

Bought the refrigerator and it was delivered within 5 days. The installers were very professional and took great care installing the item. It fit perfectly in the alcove area where the previous one was located. The refrigerator cooled within 2 hours and was running very quietly. This is my second Whirlpool refrigerator. The first one lasted 21 years with no maintenance. I've read other comments regarding issues with Whirlpool and I can say I have not experienced any issues with them. It's a great product.

Beautiful, cold, plenty of light and space. Very silent. I never hear it. I got the black plastic finish because I hate stainless steel, which is junk. This is beautiful and easy to clean And you never see fingerprints

Looks good & works good so far. Have had Whirlpool products for years. This replaced a 20 year old whirlpool refrigerator. Shelves are a little different which you have to get used to but is fine.

It cools and freezes well. No complaints on its primary function, however it is noticeably louder when performing its normal functions. My understanding is that this model features two fans, and when cooling the right side the fan stops when opening the door, and starts again when closed. A minor thing. The ice maker is noticeably louder than the Whirlpool model that was replaced. Ice maker works well.

I bought this refrigerator for a rental property. It is not too expensive and looks good. has ice maker and adequate size.

The 1st fridge had to be returned. Bad freezer side w/ice maker, water dispenser and overall malfunction. 2nd one seems to be fine. Ice dispenser a little slow to build up if you use a lot of ice. Overall, it's a good fridge.

Great replacement fridge for our old refrigerator, both my wife and I we love it

We've had this refrigerator 2 months to this day, Oct 14. I do not know if you call it the compressor or motor but this refrigerator gets really loud for a minute or so on a regular basis. We have the refrigerator compartment set at the coldest temperature yet the thermometer we have inside often points close to the spoilage zone and today I noted that it is at the spoilage zone (see attachment) which prompted this review. I do not know how often this has happened in the last two months. Thankfully, the only items I have found spoiled way before their expiration date are Havarti cheese and celery sticks. The temperature from the water dispenser has never gotten cold . It's the same temperature as the water from the kitchen faucet. It maybe time to call the geek squad in.

I really like the size of this fridge. The shelves are good. Although they aren’t necessarily movable which makes it difficult to customize the space between shelves. The freezer is good. I came from the drawer type freezer space which felt like I was digging into a deep freezer to search for items I love the shelves makes it easier to view and store freezer items.

I’m having problems with the icemaker. I’m just trying to figure it out. I’ve been reading my little pamphlet and I think the water filter thing has gone through by now, but I’m still scared to drink the water.

We scheduled pick-up and everyone was very accommodating. Everything was exactly as needed, The refrigerator is better than expected plus we had to get a few other items and they graciously helped get the items for me so i didnt have to search for them since i am temporarily disabled.

Installation and delivery was great. Looks fantastic. Only negative is the noise. Stop ice maker, but did not help. It’s like every so often 2 or 3 hours. Pretty loud at night. Other wise is a good investment.
