First, the refrigerator side froze up and quit working. Then the ice maker quit working several days later and finally the freezer stopped working. Also, the doors could not be lined up properly. Whirlpool will not allow Best Buy to work on these in the first year, so I had to schedule the service through them. The repair people they sent never called me back after the first appointment and Whirlpool said it would take three weeks to get the parts in. Fortunately, I had the extended warranty and Best Buy replaced it within two days with a different brand. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. The product is no good and their service is terrible.

The refrigerator side is OK, but small. So far, it is keeping the temperature steady, and ice maker works well. Every other refrigerator we tried was a teeny bit too tall, so hit my upper cabinets. This one makes me very unhappy.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the refrigerator that was delivered was not the same as the one on the floor display, even the model number is different than the one I wanted, it is a lower end knockoff! the ice maker sucks! so IO had them send me a replacement and they sent the wrong one again, they have still not fixed the issue and I don't believe they will, don't buy appliances from best buy they send you cheepos and don't stand by their word!

At first this looks like a good deal. But after 18 months (6months outside of the warranty) my ice maker stopped making ice regularly. At first I could turn it off for 30 seconds and that turn it back on and get it to make ice. But 6 months later it just completely stopped. Whirlpool will send someone out for $450.00, Yes that is a 1/2 of the cost of the fridge new!. I have switched out the water filter every six months and checked the water lines. It simple doesn't work. So what looks like a good deal will end up being a headache and more expensive in the long run. Not a good deal, whirlpool quality is not the same as it once was. Pick a different brand and save money in the long run. Would not recommend to anyone.

Side by side is not sufficient for a family unless you like going to the store every other day. This style was in our house when we bought it. If you go for ice, the water button gets pushed accidentally almost everytime and then you have water everywhere. Having had a french door style before, I recommend it over this one. I’d rather have a tip freezer style over this one. New to whirlpool appliances and don’t mind the brand, but this fridge is for a single person or a couple, who only ise small glasses!
