Refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this refrigerator along with a whirlpool stove (my first whirlpool purchase) on 3/26/19 and it was delivered on 3/28/19. Yesterday 7/8/19 I opened the refrigerator to discover that it was not cooling or freezing and my food items in both the fridge and freezer were perishing. I’m not sure when it stopped working. I called customer service I had to get a 20 minute spill on purchasing an extended warranty before I could even explain the situation. I was told that the fridge could not be serviced until 7/16. I explained to the rep that I needed someone to come out sooner...it’s summer and my 4 children and I are off for the summer....I can’t afford to lose everything. He said that if I had purchased the extended warranty, that wouldn’t start until after the year long manufacturers warranty was up anyway, they would have offered some assistance with the food I’ve lost. What an insult. I’d never buy another whirlpool. The rep was able to set up an appointment for 7/12 Next time I’ll look for quality over beauty. Very disappointing.

Worst Refrigerator Ever Made, Major Design Defects
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the worst fridge I've ever owned, it's literally designed to be bad. It's as if no one ever tested it out for 20 minutes before they started selling it. The water dispenser sits at the very outer edge of the fridge which means water drips go down the side of the fride and onto your floor and boy does it drip! It drips like crazy, you put a service request in, technicians come out to fix the drip but also mention due to how it's designed it's just going to happen and that they can't fix Whirlpools bad design. Better hope you don't have wood floors! Whirlpool unfortunately will not address this issue for their customers as they'd rather keep the defective design and hope people don't care about water all over their floor. Your only solution will be to pay someone to dispose of the fridge and find something else.

My old samsung was so quiet this one way worse seems like i bought it at CRAIGSLIST....

I bought the machine less than 3 years ago and now I am waiting, waiting, waiting on parts. I looked on the Whirlpool parts website and the control panel might not be available for a month! Buy a different machine unless you want it to be obsolete in 3 years. Mt previous refrigerator, a GE, lasted for 20 years, required one repair and parts were available!

like a swamp cooler is in my kitchen its so loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I regret this purchase: the motor always running and it is loud, the drawers are small, water is NOT cold at all and has no drip tray do water runs down to my hard wood floors, the shelving and door trays are so cheap I do not feel they will last, and EVERY time we open the fridge is rolls forward so a few time during during the day we have to push it back in place. WHAT A REGRET

Not happy

For one they cannot get the handles and the door to match up no matter how much adjusting is done. Second, it drips water every time we use the spicket and also drops ice out at random. Then there is the door creak, we've had it serviced twice for the same reason and it continues to make the creak every single time you open the door. We will not be purchasing any Whirlpool products in the future for these reasons. This is what a $1,000 gets you.

Flimsy shelves!

The shelves are very flimsy plastic that also have a top edge that curls in, so a container can easily catch onto it and pull the shelf off the door. This was me pulling a jar of mayo out of the shelf, not one of the kids, who are less careful. The plastic is so crackable, I can’t imagine the other shelves will last long. I don’t know why whirlpool hasn’t made more durable shelves. The replacements are expensive for parts that are cheaply made and will likely fail.

worst refrigerator ever.. DONOT BUY IT

I called Best Buy, Whirlpool and their authorized repair agent in Southern California, and I got no responses from them even when this fridge is covered under 5 year federal warranty. I was told that the compressor is out and need to be replaced and got a repair quote for $1000+ . All I get is a runaround and it is incredibly frustrating not to have a fridge during California summer. This is the worst Whirlpool product I ever bought. Can anyone from Whirlpool contact me and let me know what to do with this worthless junk in my kitchen?

poor quality

I received it October of 2021. The first one had a huge dent in the front so they re- ordered. The second one was also damaged so they reordered. The third one was fine but had issues with the ice maker immediately. They sent a service tech out to fix the problem. September of 2023 the unit stopped working completely. I called whirlpool even though the initial year warranty was out and they said depending on what was wrong it could be covered under the extended warranty. I paid $125.00 for the service technician to come out. He said the compressor was broken which was covered but the circuit board was also out which wasn't covered because it was likely caused by a power surge. He said it would be approx.$800.00 to replace the circuit board. There were no storms or power outages in my area at this time and nothing else in the house has been affected. I initially bought whirlpool because I felt it is a trusted name but I am very disappointed by the product I received.

Broke down after extended warraty run out

Worst refrigerator

Food in the refrigerator constantly freezes and ice maker has broken into pieces 4 times now. Been utterly unusable since it was purchased. Customer service, though competant and friendly, completely unable or unwilling to fix the problems. Overly disappointed with this purchase.

Do not buy. It’s a lemon

Whirlpool has sent 4 repair techs over and each time they say it’s fixed, it breaks again. Their warranty is a joke.

Will never shop with Best Buy ever again

It's a six hour delivery window, which is not ideal, but so be it. In my particular case, the delivery team missed the delivery window, which happens, but there were no attempts made to communicate timing and the online agents were helpless in trying to locate the delivery team to get an update on status. A second delivery was scheduled for 48 hours later, which also failed - incredibly surprising. In fairness, I ultimately cancelled the order and don't have anything credible to comment on regarding the quality of the actual product. However, I've never had a more unprofessional purchasing experience. I will never shop with Best Buy ever again and from this point on will seek to conduct business with Best Buy's direct competitors despite whether the price Best Buy is offering is more competitive.
