Good enough fridge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge has performed fine for us in the month we've owned it thus far. We recently moved on from a GE French Door fridge that developed problems with the ice maker, freezer seal, closing flap, drawers cracking, and leaking on the floor. So, ANYTHING would have been an upgrade. PROS: It keeps things cold. It dispenses ice and water properly. CONS: The ice maker took awhile to start producing ice at a solid rate. The compressor is typically noticeable and occasionally VERY loud, our previous fridge (though it had other faults) was whisper quiet. There is no thermometer to see what the temp is inside the fridge or freezer, or what the temp is set at. There is just a "cold" to "coldest" 4-bar meter. I feel like the technology was a bit better on my previous machine. But hey, it seems to work well so far. I'm hoping with less bells and whistles, there will be minimal maintenance and long-lasting product.

Great affordable option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this refrigerator as an upgrade to our 12 year old used-to-be-white model that came with the house so it’s already a much more sleek look than we had. It looks great, it’s spacious, and the light is bright. The ice maker is a little loud but not terrible and the area to fill your glass with ice/water is a bit small but it’s functional. Overall we are pleased.

Solid Side-by-Side
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a very nice side-by-side. After a couple of weeks of using it, there are a couple of drawbacks. The space capacity in the freezer is less than previous side-by-side (also a Whirlpool) that it is replacing, although the dimensions of the entire unit are virtually the same. Cooling motor is noisier than the previous one, and getting the ice maker to discharge ice through the door can be a bit tricky.

Acceptable if Height is Limited
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model isn't as user-friendly as one would prefer, but we settled for it on account of its height being low enough to fit our space. The ice-and-water dispenser functions well but its design is cramped, making awkward any use of an oversized cup. Interior shelves are immovable (though removable), and most 2L bottles or German wines cannot be placed upright on any of them. Temperatures are maintained effectively, but we adjusted them from delivery team's settings, which froze milk, veggies. Open refrigerator door carefully to avoid its backlash, which may disturb bottles in door shelves.

This frig is average +, though reasonably priced.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This refrigerator was average +, though the price was very reasonable at around $1100 on sale. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I had expected a little more, considering the reviews were pretty good. I will say that the frig works fine and looks good (though doesn’t quite have that solid look of the higher end refrigerators – but of course, it is less than half the price of the higher end products). Some people had said that the frig was noisy, but I find it quiet. However, do note: I did not hook up the ice maker or water line, so I don’t know if the ice maker is noisy. What I don’t like is that the shelves are not adjustable, nor do any pull out. (only the door shelves are adjustable). Unless you keep your milk or other gallon jugs on the door, they will only fit on the top shelf, and since I am 5’ 2 ½”, I find it a little uncomfortable to maneuver because it’s a little too high. Also, the bins don’t slide in and out easily– they seem cheap and flimsy. Another issue is that this refrigerator at just under 25cu ft., feels smaller than the one I replaced which was only 23.5 cu ft. I do have the same issue that some others noted, that when you open the door, the frig can move forward a little. I find that I can avoid this by either placing my other hand on the opposite door, or placing my thumb on the opposite door handle when I open the frig. This lightly braces the frig so it doesn’t move. Bottom-line: if you are looking for a reasonably priced refrigerator, I think this is fine, though don’t expect it to compare to a top of the line frig.

Good refrigerator for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this well-lit, very spacious, refrigerator. My only complaint is that when you open the door, it won't open partially, it falls completely open, so I have to remember to not let go of the handle. I also like the stainless steel finish.

Great Refrigerator At A Great Price !

Very good looking and works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is even better looking in person than it is on the pictures and it is pretty huge. I read a lot of reviews about loud sounds and loud ice makers and slow ice makers but not one single problem with it! It is virtually silent so is the ice maker, and if anything the ice maker makes too much ice, I've had a couple pieces pile up onto the brim because its so full with 4 people using it but that's not a bad thing! One semi complaint is when someone gets crushed ice (which I hate) and then switch it back to cubed it will still give a full glass of crushed along with a few cubes, but not a big deal

Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this fridge in our kitchen for a few months now and it has been absolutely fantastic. My only gripe is that sometimes the ice gets stuck in the shoot and then leaves a puddle after melting, though that definitely could just be user error.

A nice upgrade and good value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a replacement for a very similar 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator and the design improvements are evident. From simple things like concealing the door hinges on top, having only two versus four levelers, to seemingly more efficient and open storage space inside, I give high marks for attention to details. The door panel controls are also much more streamlined. The jury is still out on the ice maker. It works fine and the ice is a good size but the apparatus is basically fully hidden and difficult to access manually versus a visible container. Since ice makers never last as long as the appliance may last, one assumes this is planned obsolescence to encourage quicker replacement. All in all, for the price paid, a very solid choice.

Spacious
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spacious, keeps everything cold and the ice works! A little loud and the water drips if you don’t wait for it to stop in the cup which then leaves a stain on the door.

Noisy but not as bad as reported.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a good amount of time researching refrigerators and landed here because of the balance of cost, features and reviews. I intentionally waited a month before writing my review to give honest fact based opinion. First, yes this model is louder than our 2006 GE model both in motor and ice maker refill but not the jet engine described in another review. If in a studio apartment it would take I bit to get used to but we only hear it occasionally ( when it’s quiet) when sitting in the living room. Next, the water and ice dispenser has several comments that on day one seemed credible HOWEVER, after daily use for a month it is obviously a feature Whirlpool spend some time on. Ergonomically and functionally it’s quite impressive how they instinctively work for us. Did we spill some water on the floor a few times the first week? Yes. After that we now love the ease of not having to select which one and how quickly is cup of water fills. Also the water is much colder coming out than our old fridge ever did. Finally, the ice maker is loud dropping ice for the first few days but once it is half way full it is the same as everyone else’s. As a side note that is true of every refrigerator made today, the turning off when the door opens then right back on is concerning to me in that with a house full of kids opening the door over and over it just seems that a motor stopping and starting over and over had to have a negative affect in the long run. Planned obsolescence I guess.

Good frig so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this refrigerator to replace a older whirlpool refrigerator that I had. All in all it’s a pretty good refrigerator. The cons that I can think of is it does make various noises but it’s not a dealbreaker. Also when it’s delivered make sure that the doors are even if not the delivers need to adjust it so that the doors will shut properly; it also states that on the manual as well. Also if you have heavier items on the door of the refrigerator you always need to make sure that Its close properly after each use. I think as a refrigerator goes it’s going to be a work horse and it’s going to do what it’s made to do (store food)and it looks beautiful in the kitchen with a very modern and sleek look. I love the fact that it does not have a drip tray I think drip trays are just disgusting and need to Be pulled and cleaned far to often, it makes cleaning it much much easier and faster .The one that I purchased has almost a mirrored effect;so when you look at it you can actually see yourself. It was a good purchase for the price that I paid and then also with the warrantee you can’t beat it. I think whirl pool makes pretty decent profucts.

Everything you need and affordable!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fridge is a great size and very minimalistic! We like the space in both the freezer and fridge divisions! There are plenty of shelves and cabinets in both and allows for easy organization! It is easy and straightforward to change settings of the fridge and is very functional!

Not liking the appearance of the feet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am disappointed in the final set up where the feet of this fridge show wires and plates......very unsightly. The feet should have a cover to not let these display. Am I missing parts?? Have had this two weeks and the fridge itself is big and roomy and happy to have gone back to side-by-side. French door is not for me with bottom freezer where you can't see anything as all are piled up. Whirlpool needs to improve final look of this refrigerator!

Cold Storage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good looking fridge. Overall, very satisfied with the looks and function. Ice maker is on the loud side and the water trough the door is a little tricky to find at times.

Great value with some minor annoyances
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based on price for the size and features, this is 5 stars. Excellent value, but I subtracted a star because of several minor annoyances. 1) The unit is noisy when it runs, at least compared to our last two units. Also, when the ice dispenser is filling a cup or when the unit reloads water, it can be obnoxiously loud. Not a show-stopper, but surprised us at the volume from a newer model. 2) The water dispenser does not provide cooled water. This might not seem like a big deal, but when your family is expecting cooled water, it can be a consistent minor annoyance. I have never seen a modern refrigerator not deliver cooled water. We're in Texas and it's July, so your needs may be different. 3) As others said, the sides are not stainless, but rather a closely matching gray color. Not a big deal for us. 4) The unit does pick up fingerprints pretty easily. Just be aware... MDTX

Always Whirlpool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased sight unseen online and was not disappointed when it arrived. The finish is smooth and it works well. There is noise at times but nothing that can't be overlooked. Pleased with my purchase.

Love This Refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this refrigerator. It is great for one person. I have plenty of room, have had it for 8 months with no issues at all. It does make some noise but that doesn't bother me at all. Today, I have to go replace my water filter for the first time (lasted longer than my previous refrigerator). Glad I made the decision to get this model as I looked for months trying to decide. I had never had a Whirlpool so I was anxious about changing brands - but I am now a Whirlpool fan.
