This stove/oven is the greatest! Especially with 5 burners. We cook a lot and haven't had any problems!

I performed a great deal of research before purchasing this gas range. When installation was completed, I fell in love with appliance. The only snafu was delivery and install are achieved separately. This results in having your existing stove and the new stove using kitchen space until install.

Have been waiting for glass top to go out so I could use my house gas line for a stove and even with it being my wife's first gas stove she is able to figure it out very quickly.

    Needs more buttons!

This was a first Whirlpool range for us (it's always been GE). I selected it because of the very large window into the oven. It looks great in our new kitchen, and I love the extra burner. Less to love is the broiler down below - but broiler options aren't always great in gas ranges. The real reason for the loss of a star in what otherwise is a very good range (bakes beautifully!) is that the temperature settings are done by up/down arrow rather than being able to enter an actual number. It makes for a very clean display area (so few buttons), but it you want to bake/roast much out of the 350 range you are in for a lot of clicks! Also, sadly, the clock is set in the same way which makes it a real pain to change the time. But, for what I purchased it to do (cooking and baking) it does a very nice job, and the window is great!

    Great at First

The gas range looks nice and works well. Good price range but after having the range for over a year now I know why. The oven igniter has to be replaced often if you bake a lot. No issues with the stove top or electrical so that's a plus. If I could do it all over again I would choose a different range. Replacing the oven igniter is a pain. I'm guessing this is why the price is so nice.

I purchased it 2 weeks ago. Looks very elegant in my kitchen, easy to clean. Really like griddle to make pancakes, 5 burners suites well my family. Preheating feature on the oven is very convenient, it tells me when the tempersture reaches desired point.

    Not good

The front of the stove (by the controls) heats up and becomes very hot. A small fry pan tips and does not stay in place and almost falls through the large grids. The grids are so heavy and , in order to clean up under, you have to remove them. The grids are way to high. The broiler drawer is very inconvenient, and did not come with a shelf or a pan.I did not pick out this stove and would not recommend this to anyone.

    OK Range

Nice range but the top grates are very thick and heavy and take away from the looks of the range. Big burners in front not good - have to reach over big pots to take care of small pots. Whole stove gets hot when using the oven, including the door handle and the top where all the digital displays are and the sides (which are against cabinets). The burner in the center is okay but not very useful especially when using pots on the other burners - not enough room for 5 pots. Had to redo -- I would not purchase this stove again.

    4 year old range died

This range lasted 4 years to the purchase date. Between service call and cost to replace main control board, decided to replace. I used to swear by Whirlpool appliances. However my last two purchases were less than satisfactory. Purchased a stainless steal fridge that is showing rust spots and I am unable to get a streak free finish. I've tried multiple stainless steel cleaning products to no avail.

    HORRIBLE to clean!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'll start by saying that this stove cooks great. The oven temp is accurate and having a 5 burner stove top is a plus but that's the end of the good news. The stove top is nearly impossible to clean! I have never had problems like this, it's like there isn't a finish on the top or something. Even something as simple as a pot boiling over leaves marks that are nearly impossible to get off. Not to mention how hot the sides and oven door get when the oven is on. If I had to do it over I would definitely pick a different stove.

The oven overall is great, but the oven rack is a bit flimsy. The slots in the rack are too far apart and the digital system is a little awkward.

This gas stove was priced so much less than others with similar features. It has a loud, maybe even obtuse, sound effects but that's the only "thing" about it...

    Looks great but hot surface

    Posted .

The range looks great. However, I noticed right away how hot the entire front of the range gets when the oven and stove is on. The handle to the oven and the top surface get so hot that it hurts me to touch. I have small children so keeping them out of the kitchen is a must (even after done cooking). This is common sense for young children but my 6 year old can no longer help me cook. :( I called Best Buy to get more information and they explained that it is not a defect but that some ranges function this way. That’s very disappointing and discouraging.
