Mostly nice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not played around with all of the fancy features like the assisted cooking or yummly integration. I do have it connected to wifi, which was not a smooth process. When it was searching, it couldn't find a single wifi to connect to, so I ended up going and hitting the button on the router to get them to sync. That worked. I would say that in two 3 days of having the range, my two complaints are 1) you can't clean the touch screen without activating all kinds of menu options. There ought to be a screen lock for cleaning the display. 2) You CANNOT hear the tones when the oven finishes preheating or when the timer is finished for cooking, even if you're standing in the kitchen. You better set a separate timer if you don't want to burn whatever you're cooking. Even one of the tips was to set it to send push notifications to your phone so you'll be able to hear them. Side note, it is listed as slide-in, but in my opinion is is free standing. The sides are finished and there is not overhang which covers the gap between the oven and the counter top.

High pitch noise scares my dog....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stove top is good size. Not a fan of the oven. It doesn't seem to cook at the correct temperature and the convection doesn't seem to do anything. Biggest issue is that there is a high pitch noise that the gas line emits and it freaks out my dog every time I use the oven.

Slide in
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this range. From the get go, there is no lip to cover the edge of the counter on either side. I had to buy silicone covers. Tacky. The front burners are way too hot for simmering. It looks as though the front burner on the right has a simmer option but I can't find it. Also, at one point my oven just stopped working. The Whirlpool tech said it was because it had to be reset/rebooted. WHAT? So, I have to hit the circuit breaker or unplug it every time it goes out? Whirlpool are you out of your minds? The touch screen for the oven is very touchy. If you accidently hit it while the oven is on, it will turn off the oven. Again, WHAT? I think you need to do some tinkering with this one.

Looks great but front controls are dangerous
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gas slide in range looks great! Black on fingerprint resistant stainless. Biggest letdown/DANGER: front burner controls turn on with slightest bump. I've owned the range for a month and the burners have turned on 3 times with just inadvertent bumping of the front controls (my fridge is directly opposite the range) in a galley kitchen design. Whirlpool should put the controls ON TOP (there's plenty of room to do so!) Pros: cooktop burners sizes and BTU rating offer a good range in cooking heat from simmer to raging boil; center oval burner does fair job of heating the griddle (supplied). EZ lift grate gets the cleaning job with ease (burners lift off and allow full access to dirt) Oven with convection fan heats evenly and quickly. Buyer beware.... THIS Front control range can be dangerous.

Do not buy if you actually cook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.No.....no, no, no. Touchscreen panel will run you $650 minimum and touchscreens don't like heat. Check the prices for part #W11339755. Ours lasted less than 5 years. Now the best move is to drop $1200 rather than keep this garbage running.

Nice look but horrible reliabilty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good looking range that failed the first time within the first few months of use. The issue is that the logic board is just under the cooktop and if any pot boils over, any liquid that leaks down will fry the logic board. We got this for thanksgiving. By June it failed and the logic board was replaced under warranty. A few weeks ago we think a pot of pasta boiled over and now it’s failed again. $300 part and the repair tech wants 2 hours to replace, meaning it is almost $700 repair. Stupid. Cool looking on the outside but terrible design on the inside.

Avoid Smart Appliances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Wifi stopped working after 2 years. The entire circuit board went out at the 4 year mark, rendering the oven useless. Even with Best Buy's extended warranty, the circuit board is not covered.

Purchase from another retailer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would love to be able to review the appliance, but it has not been delivered after 3 failed attempts due to Best Buy's mistakes. Yet I have to give Best Buy an overall 1 rating until this is corrected.

Garbage appliances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave one star because I couldn’t go lower. We have had this range for two years and two months.. the time resets every night. The display is unresponsive now, so you can’t use the oven. We bought whirlpool because we have loved their appliances in the past but now they are garbage. We also had issues with our whirlpool fridge, they had to fix the seal on our freezer door twice! We lost all the food in our freezer the first time and had to buy a deep freezer. Our whirlpool dishwasher is broken as well, you can’t pull out the top shelf. We bought all the appliances 11/2018

It worked, then it didn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had whirlpool products for the last 20 years. Only had minor issues with their older appliances which started around the 8 year mark. I consider that great. We replaced our 20 yr old appliances with the new ones which included this range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. A few months in the microwave got stuck with an hour glass on the display and no matter what we did it wouldn't go away. It took whirlpool 2 month to fix the issue under warranty. Now, about a year later our range is having the same issue. Only now our appliances are out of warranty. I used to be a huge whirlpool fan but now these appliances are so "smart" that they're unreliable and are going on strike.
