Decided to get a bare bones HE model as my last machine cost twice as much but only lasted 8 years. This machine is very loud. I use baking soda in my loads and it doesn't always dissolve. Then I have to rewash. I also have rewashed whites washed in hot as they were not clean. So I guess it is not so HE if I end up washing the same stuff twice. It seems like the clothes come out very wet. My old dryer was not replaced and it now takes twice as long to dry my clothes.

After my Samsung front loader died after 6 yrs, I was told to expect the life of a washing machine to average 5 yrs. Therefore, I went looking for a quality washer but the cheaper end of the scale. If they all can be expected to last around the same amount of time, it doesn't pay to get an expensive machine. This top loader was around $460 and does everything I need it to. I've used it about 2 months and am pleased. I would get it again. It does vibrate pretty good during spinning though.

This is a good machine for the price it is. Mind you it's not the greates but it gets the job done. We had to replace our old machine that came with house. We have done quite a bit of research for prices and reviews on many machines. I'm very pleased with this machine. The only annoying thing about this machine is the automatic locking door when ever you start a cycle. I know it's there for safety reasons but it's the only minor complaint I have with this machine.

This washer is so much better than the one I needed to replace. Just load it up, push the button and walk away.

I initially went shopping for a small portable apartment size washing machine, but found out that would have been too small to wash even a full load of bedding all at once. I chose this machine instead. It's compact enough to sit in a corner of my kitchen, but has enough capacity to wash a full load of bedding or clothes. Not having an agitator makes it more efficient with water, and allows washing larger items like sleeping bags and comforters. Some other reviews I read complain about the sounds it makes. It does sound different from a machine with an agitator, but I don't find it to be excessively loud. I would not want to sleep in the same room with this or any other washing machine while it's running. But I don't find it loud enough to be disturbing when I'm working in the kitchen while it's running, or in another room.

I was reluctant to buy a machine without an agitator because I was afraid my clothes wouldn't get as clean. However I love this machine. No agitator leaves more room for clothing. The spin cycle works so well that it lessens my drying time. I do recommend using the 2nd rinse option. The first time I put dark jeans in the washer I could see soap residue when they were done. Since then, i just set the machine on a second rinse cycle and no more concerns. This machine was on sale, with free delivery and hookup and removal of my old machine. All around I am very satisfied.

This was priced right and works real good. Easy to use and does a great job washing your clothes.

Machine works great. I was initially concerned that it would not clean my clothes well enough due to the water saving feature; however, it does an outstanding job. Stains and spots come out easily. It is a little bit louder than I expected, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Very happy customer.

What an improvement from the older model. Washer does great job with very little detergent.

If you want an up to date clothes washer, that has the latest technology, this Whirlpool 3.8 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer, will not disappoint you. It is fast, uses less water and energy. This is my review after having it for a month and with 10 washes so far. I am satisfied with the service at Best Buy where I purchased it.

This is my first high efficiency washer. The detergent and clothes loading takes a little getting used to. The noises emitted during wash also take some getting used to but are not horribly loud. One wash cycle using "normal stain" setting takes over 50 minutes so I only give it 4 stars for that reason. Installation was a breeze. You can fit a lot of clothes in this washer with no agitator present.

This washer was an excellent machine for the price. Does everything I need a washer to do.

I like the way this machine works and reduces my electric and water bills. I also have had good experiences with the staff at Best Buy on every trip I made there. I love the deals and products that Best Buy has. The experience of shopping at Best Buy is always relaxing and courteous.

I love my new washer. I was able to start using it right away and have no complaints.

This is a stylish washer with black accent on the top where the controls are. If you are not used to the energy efficient type of washer, you will not know what the odd noises are at first. This type of washer does not put a lot of water into it, so it moves the clothes around so that all of it gets wet and clean. Also no agitator to speak of in the middle so it can hold a lot of bigger items like comforters with no problem. Best part was that I'm getting a $300 rebate from the Southern California Water Smart program!
